My Stubborn Mistress - Chapter 385 Somewhere, Trapped In Time
Paris, France — sometimes, in the year of 1770s…
Ugh. Quinn groaned in pain. He realized he fell high from a tree. Did I come back to the 18th century? He asked himself.
“Cassandra!” he cried out. Of a sudden, he sat up from the ground he is lying at, but an unusual pain surging from the back of his head down to his spinal cord and lower back.
“No. This can’t be! I don’t want to come back here yet!” he broke down, wailing with Cassandra’s name.
“Papa! What happens? We’re looking for you everywhere! Where have you been?” worriedly, Madison asked, just to find Quinn is actually sobbing. “What’s the matter? Why are you crying, Papa?” she’s stunned, witnessing Quinn crying like this.
“Madison—” he looks up.
“What’s wrong?” Madison sees how Quinn’s eyes filled with tears.
“I saw her.” Quinn reached for Madison and then hugged her tight. “I travel to the time when she is by now,” he continued sobbing.
“Do you mean, you came upon the time Cassie was to, brother Quinn?” Levi asked, peering at him helplessly. How could he encourage him? If he were to have been in Quinn’s situation, probably he already lost his head but gone crazy.
“Yes. We’ve been together for a while,” he snorts, wiping his eyes and nose.
“How is she? Does Cassie be all right at that time?”
“In what I am seeing, she is well, yet I am worried about her. We are wandering around the Kyoto temples when my head in terrible pain, then when I woke up.”
“Thus, Quinn in that life would be in great puzzles why he’s in that place.” Levi presumed.
“He will be, surely…” Quinn replied. “But I wonder if Cassandra notices that I was no longer in Shun’s body. I feared he would find her too soon once he woke up and he was there. What will happen then?”
Levi and Madison glance at each other, like their eyes, talked… Levi who responds to him. “Don’t worry, brother Quinn. According to the book, even after he learns that she is alive. Shun just shows up at Cassie when she is almost 18 years old.”
“So then, he would follow my advice?”
“What advice, Papa?”
“I leave a message on his phone. If he checks the documents on his Notes, he— ” Quinn paused. He remembers something very important. “Our pictures!”
“What pictures?”
“We took a lot of photos around. Shun will find them!” He exclaimed.
“I guess, nothing we have to worry. He will keep it for sure, brother Quinn.”
“If the book telling like that, then okay,” he hurls a worried sighed. “Anyway, how was it? Where are they?” he meant about Carlisle and Marivella.
“They were still in the Villa. Charles was with them now,” Levi replied.
“Did you propose the plan with Carlisle?”
“Yes, brother Quinn. Charles did, and we will do it tonight.”
“How about Gene? Did he already knew?”
Quinn nodded and peered at her longer.
“Is something wrong, Papa?” she noticed that Quinn stared at her intently.
He shook his head, smiling at Madison. “Hmm, it’s nothing.”
Although he’s thinking to inform Madison that Marivella was pregnant, he cannot resolve his apprehensions. Did he and Cassandra have a firstborn before Madison? This is something he must find out.
“Are you certain to pretend as him?” she’s still worried about Quinn.
“Don’t you worry, Madison. As long that Charles is there to accompany me, he could share with me some information about the people I talk about: such as the Royal guards’ officials, the soldiers’ names and then the important family in this time,” he ensures.
“Okay, papa. I understand.”

Back in Japan: the life that does not exist anymore
Shun standing beside this floor-ceiling window of Hilton Tokyo Bay, he remained contemplating in all that possibly happened to him.
There’s a knock on the door and then Meisha peeping in. “Shun, Riley arrives.” He informed him.
“All right, I’m coming.” He replied nonchalantly, not even take a glance at the door’s direction.
Poor Meisha. Heaving a deep sigh, he just shook his head. The way Shun still acting; he seems gloomier than before.
“You look so worried. What is going on with him?” Riley notices how the men affected when Shun is feeling down like this. She now began admiring their brotherhood.
Not long after, Shun stepped out of the room and seated across the single sofa that Riley sat at.
“What’s up? Yet, you can’t remember anything?”
Riley asked him. Her intense gaze leaves Shun a curiosity. “What did you find out?” He inquired in return instead.
Riley looked at him for a long moment before she replied Shun.
“First, here’s your phone.” she placed the phone on the table.
Shun just peered at his phone, not moving an inch nor attempting to take it.
Meisha and Riley meaningfully look at each other. It appears he is losing interest in anything once again. But then, a playful smile playing on her lips, but she hid it.
“Shun, do you have any idea if what did you do when you feel like you are not with yourself?”
Shun shook his head. “I don’t understand what you are pertaining, Riley. Can you straighten it out?” he said boringly.
“Who’s your girlfriend?”
“What? I don’t have a girlfriend.” Black lines appeared on his forehead.
“Quit playing on us. Before you graduated from college, there is a girl who keeps following you around.”
“It’s just Olivia.”
“Really?” Riley’s left eyebrow pushed upward. She wanted to laugh sarcastically but Quinn’s face showing how unconcerned he is about her. So she went on. “Then who is that girl in your gallery?”
“What are you talking about?” Confused, Shun draws his phone and turns on the power.
He opens his gallery. Shun feels like passing out looking at the photo saving in. Is he seeing a ghost? Do his eyes playing with him? He cannot recall that he is the one who took it.
“How could be possible? Cassandra is dead for three long years!” Shun in great shock, still, he cannot believe it is true.
