My Summons Can Learn Skills - Chapter 19
Quinlan!
The half-human, half-vampire who was more than 2,000 years old!
He was most likely the person with the strongest direct combat skills in the Abyssal World!
“Mr. Quinlan, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time,” Chen Gou said as he waved his hand and withdrew the Radiant Dawn back to the holy summoning hall.
“You know me?” Quinlan asked expressionlessly.
He was wearing a black hooded cloak, his Strigoi-like pale appearance was concealed under his hat, and he was carrying an ancient Roman-style sword with a bone hilt on his back.
Despite looking ordinary, would Quinlan really use an ordinary longsword?
Chen Gou’s old habits got to work again. He wondered whether this was a magical weapon and what grade it was
“It’s not surprising that I know a legend among the Demon Hunters who has been chasing the Master for more than 1,000 years.”
Chen Gou went straight to the point and said, “I have a suggestion. We could work together to kill the Master. How’s that?”
“I never bring a burden with me to a battle.”
Quinlan took a few steps forward and said as he stared at him, “I have a better suggestion. You can give me the Fallen Light and I’ll finish off the Master for you.”
“That won’t do. I have to be the one who deals the final blow. The Master has to die in my hands!” Chen Gou insisted.
If the Master did not die in his hands, then the harvest of this painstaking plan would be reduced by at least 50 percent.
“Who do you think you are?” a voice asked with a sneer.
The voice didn’t belong to Quinlan. A young human walked through the door.
He had obviously come with Quinlan but had been hiding outside.
He was also someone Chen Gou knew. He was one of the assessees, Tony Arslan!
Why was he with Quinlan?
“He’s a warrior I approve of, and I prefer to work with a warrior like him who can fight directly rather than with someone like you who likes to use tricks.”
Ever since the epidemic outbreak, Quinlan had been on the lookout for a human helper upon arriving in New York from Europe.
A few days ago, he had happened to see Tony fighting alone with four mutated Strigoi. He had eventually killed them all, so he had taken him under his wing.
Naturally, Tony wouldn’t miss this opportunity to build a relationship with the plot’s forces. He had accepted, of course.
“I’ve promised him that he will give the Master the final blow, so you can come up with another condition.”
Quinlan, of course, knew Chen Gou and Abraham had killed Augustin, who was the second in rank among the vampires.
However, he knew that they had borrowed the power of the ultraviolet lamps to do so.
There was no chance of using a shortcut to kill the Master, so he had naturally chosen Tony instead of Chen Gou.
The only thing Chen Gou had that was worthy of his attention was the Fallen Light.
“Alright then. I’ll change my condition.”
Chen Gou smiled as he wore the silver mask and told Tony without being angry, “Offer something that can increase my Intelligence or MP in exchange for me bringing the Fallen Light along to the battle to kill the Master. Of course, the final blow will be yours.”
Tony’s eyes lit up, and he looked a bit more serious as he said, “You’re able to give and take, which puzzles me. I can give you something that can increase the MP now, but you must remember what you should do and what you should not do!”
Even though Chen Gou was wearing a mask, Tony could still recognize him.
His figure was one of the reasons he could. The assessees had special senses that allowed them to easily distinguish their companions in the Blue Wave World.
“Don’t worry. I won’t plot against you. Your cost-performance ratio is too low,” Chen Gou said calmly without having any ill intentions.
One had to face reality. Suffering a slight loss was nothing, not to mention that one could often take a step back per two steps forward the next day.
On the other hand, a smart person would not clash with a power like the Arslan Family when they had yet to gain a foothold.
“Catch!”
Tony nodded and threw a black cloak over.
Chen Gou reached out to take it and was slightly shocked when he probed it with his mind.
[Hell Ghost Cloak: Accessory Artifact]

[Grade: Bronze]
[Attributes: Intelligence +1, Agility +1, Strength -2]
[Skill: Spirit PossessionThe spirits in the cloak will possess your body, causing your body to become light and resulting in an increase in soul power. Intelligence +4, Maximum MP +250, Movement Speed +10%.]
[Consumes 0 MP. Lasts 60 seconds. Cooldown is 3 minutes.]
[Equipment Requirement: Awakened Level 5 and above. Base Intelligence at least 10.]
[Warning: Spirits are different. If a user whose Intelligence is less than 10 points uses this, they might suffer mental trauma.]
[Description: A spirit from hell was being tortured with the tongue-ripping punishment. After being freed by a Demon Hunter who entered hell, it changed into a cloak to thank him for his kindness. Because its power contains too much Yin, when humans use it, their bodies will feel cold and their strength and physique will be adversely affected.]
[Remark: Can you not be weak when there’s a spirit on your back?]
This was the first time Chen Gou had ever seen an item with an obvious flaw.
The side effects were not small for an Apprentice Demon Hunter.
The fact that two points of Strength corresponded to 50 HP was secondary. Most importantly, how much Strength did he have in total?
No matter what, this cloak was the solution to his lack of MP.
What truly frightened him was the origin of the cloak. It came from the Netherworld!
This meant that the evil spirit abyss that had invaded the Blue Wave World had 18 terrifying levels of hell!
The Abyssal World of The Strain paled in comparison to it.
It was no wonder that a power as strong as the Three Great Knights of the Covenant could only be forced into a corner and be on the defensive.
I wonder if the King of Hell is there. The hidden secrets behind the Abyssal World and the evil spirits’ invasion probably go deeper than the world knows!
Chen Gou took a deep breath. He couldn’t even imagine what level the ruler of the Netherworld, Yama, was at.
Even if his level was ten times higher, he would still be crushed like an ant.
The little bit of arrogance and impulsiveness in him that had been born in this world instantly vanished. He still had a long road ahead of him
But then again, even though he had only heard of and never seen the Netherworld, he had some expectations about going to experience it.
Who was born in royalty?
Maybe one day, he would really go to the Netherworld and make a ruckus like Sun Wukong.
“We’re going to have the battle two days from now, so get ready. We’ll be staying here for a few days.”
Tony spoke on Quinlan’s behalf.
They still had some preparations to make. The most important thing was informing the Master that they had the Fallen Light.
This was actually very simple.
They could just go to the infected area and grab any Strigoi before summoning him.
The Master could establish a connection with all Strigoi and sense the outside world through them, which would take some time.
After Tony said that, he walked out of the study with Quinlan.
Chen Gou looked at his retreating back and smiled imperceptibly.
He had said that the final blow would be delivered by Tony, but in fact, Tony and Quinlan didn’t know who the true Master was!
Therefore, they would eventually very likely destroy the Master’s host body and think that they had killed him.
Then, Chen Gou would take care of the red bloodworm
