My Two Dads - CH 49.1
When people are drunk on their achievements and turn complacent, it’s easy to be short-sighted and not think about what might happen after they acted wilfully.
Han Shi Yu was someone like that in life.
Two weeks after the exchange event, Han Shi Yu finally returned home. By that time, he had already completely forgotten about Yang Han’s gift.
But there was someone else who still held it close to heart.
After spending more than two months without a sex life, the president of Ji Xun washed himself clean and laid down on the bed, waiting for Yang Mo to enter the bedroom.
Yang Mo came in from the office room after a shower. The second he opened the door to their bedroom, he saw bright-faced Han Shi Yu lifting up the blanket and patting the spot beside him on the spot.
Yang Mo stood outside the door for a while and stared at him coldly before closing the door.
Han Shi Yu: “?”
He waited for a long time but no one came back in so he got out of bed in confusion and found Yang Mo in the other bedroom, who had switched off his laptop and prepared to sleep.
When Yang Mo saw him enter, he turned off the lights without a word and laid down in bed.
“What’s wrong, Mo, “Han Shi Yu made his way over in the dark, propping his own body up with his arms on Yang Mo’s sides. He whispered softly, “Are you tired?”
“I don’t want to see you,” Yang Mo said with his eyes closed, wrapped up in his blanket without moving an inch. He said, “Get your ass out of the way.”
Han Shi Yu refreshed all the words he said and the actions he did from the very moment he stepped into this house till now, but nothing seemed wrong to him.
Han Shi Yu didn’t want to beat around the bush and directly said, “I was wrong.”
Yang Mo opened his eyes and looked at him. Only after a long while did he say, “In what way?”
Han Shi Yu: “I don’t know.”
Yang Mo: Get out.”
Han Shi Yu hugged him tightly through the blanket and said, “I really don’t know. What did I do?”
Yang Mo did not answer. No matter how hard Han Shi Yu worked on getting him to say it, he wouldn’t budge. Even to the point of Han Shi Yu becoming exhausted, he still only threw out: “Get out.”
Han Shi Yu was truly helpless now. He took it as Yang Mo was tired from work today, so he retreated with his head hung low.
When he was about to close the door, he said softly to him, “Rest up well. I’ll go to Yang Han’s parent-teacher meeting tomorrow then.”
At this time, Ji Xun was still a medium sized company and Han Shi Yu’s national popularity wasn’t that high yet.
Who knew that as the door was about to fully shut close, Yang Mo suddenly said, “No need. I’ll go.”
Han Shi Yu opened the door again and said, “Don’t worry about it. I haven’t been home for so many days already so I can at least stop by the parent-teacher conference…”
“”
“Tsk,” Yang Mo rolled over and sat up, his tone visibly elevated as he said, “There’s no need for you. I’ll go.”
Han Shi Yu frowned and tilted his head like he was thinking about something. He stared at Yang Mo for a long time. Yang Mo felt really flustered from being stared at like that, so he once again pulled the blanket over him and laid down. But who knew that Han Shi Yu suddenly said, “I’m going.”
Yang Mo: “……”
He sat up again and looked at that man by the door.
“Aiya,” The moment of thinking earlier seemed to have led Han Shi Yu to enlightenment. The atmosphere around him became arrogant as he said, “Say, I haven’t had the time to thank Yang Han for the gift she gave me last time. I should take this chance to thank her this time.”
Yang Mo: “.”
Han Shi Yu pressed two of his fingers together and threw Yang Mo a flying kiss. Then, he slowly closed the door and left.
Yang Mo said through gritted teeth, “Han Shi Yu!”
Little Yang Han had just graduated from elementary school and was about to enter junior high school after the summer break. This was the last parent-teacher conference in her elementary school life.
On this day, as the deputy class president, Yang Han went to help carry the class materials for the teacher. After everything was done, parents came in one by one looking for the classes between the floors. Yang Han went through all the hustle and bustle to get to the phone booth and plugged in her card to call Han Shi Yu.
When the call got through, Yang Han asked, “Hey, Old Han, are you here yet?”
Han Shi Yu said, “I’ve arrived at your school building.”
This was the first time Han Shi Yu came for a parent-teacher conference. Adding with the fact that Yang Han had done quite well on the final exams this time, she was in a mood of anticipation but also worry – the worrying was more so that Han Shi Yu wouldn’t be able to find the place.
The sounds of people talking was around her, so Yang Han covered her mouth to the phone speaker and said, “You know where to go, right?”
“Of course I do,” Han Shi Yu said, “You’re in class five or six again?”
Yang Han: “I’m in class ten.”
Han Shi Yu was silent for a moment before asking, “I’m in front of class five now. Class ten should be upstairs or downstairs?”
Yang Han: “The higher class numbers are on the lower floors….”
“Oh.”
Yang Han rushed him, “You really need to hurry up…”
Han Shi Yu hung up the call after giving an acknowledge as a reply. Then, he climbed back down the stairs, finally finding class nine on one of the floors. He walked towards the neighbouring class after taking a deep breath, but found a familiar figure among the parents waiting to sign their attendance by the door.
Han Shi Yu looked at Yang Mo.
Yang Mo looked at Han Shi Yu.
“……” Han Shi Yu walked over and whispered to him, “Didn’t I say I’d come…”
Yang Mo gave him a side eye but ignored him after that. Coincidentally, the parents in front of them finished signing the attendance so it was the next person’s turn. Yang Mo took over the pen that was handed to him by the student in charge. The little boy asked respectfully, “May I ask whose parent you are?”
Han Shi Yu: “I…”
“Yang Han’s father.” Yang Mo replied as he skimmed through the name list.
“Ohh,” The little boy helped him find the column with Yang Han’s name, then handed him the report card. Han Shi Yu wanted to intercept it halfway, but Yang Mo snatched it away and gave him a cold look.
The little boy knew nothing about what was going on then, so he looked at them both and blinked. Yang Mo passed the pen back with a thanks before walking into the classroom.
He then said to Han Shi Yu, “May I ask whose parent you are?”
Han Shi Yu: “I…am here to join in on the fun.”
The little boy: “?”
