My Two Dads - CH 50.1
“Get up right now.”
Yang Han, who was wearing a mask and rubber gloves on, grabbed onto a mop and pointed it at Han Shi Yu on the sofa as she said that.
Today, the president of Ji Xu still did not go to work and his husband who was abroad still had not returned either.
Therefore, it led to this current situation of an arrogant man lying in a pool of snacks and trashes while hugging two puppies.
Han Shi Yu shifted one of his foot away for Yang Han to clear the trash from that spot.
Yang Han said impatiently, “Can’t you move your entire person away!”
Han Shi Yu sandwiched the two puppies under his arms, stepped on the only empty spot in the pool of snacks and moved away step by step.
Yang Han muttered non-stop while she cleaned the area, “Even Big Pup and Pup the Second know how to clean up their own nests. I should just bury you already…you only know how to lie down after eating and eat again after waking up. Hurry back to the company and don’t come back.”
Yang Han: “You’re already 36! Rounding that up, you’re almost 40!”
Han Shi Yu hugged Big Pup and Pup the Second, frowning, “Why are you speaking in the same tone that your grandmother uses.”
Yang Han was also really mad.
Liu Zuo Ye told her that it wasn’t easy to raise a puppy, so she was well prepared mentally when she adopted these two. But she forgot that there was already a stray dog at home, who was much stronger than the two of them combined.
Living with Yang Mo, she could act like a princess. Living with Han Shi Yu, she had to act like a godmother instead.
These words almost came out of her mouth in one angry breath.
Yang Han finished mopping the floor clean before Han Shi Yu returned with the two puppies in hand. He even added on, “Actually, I’m training you through this. Look at how much your dad spoiled you, to the point of not letting you touch a single chore…”
Yang Han cut him off coldly, “I’m telling dad when he comes back.”
Hearing that, Han Shi Yu perked up. The two puppies followed their master and turned their heads towards her, “Are you really such a sore loser.”
Yang Han ignored him and continued to clean the other spots.
As she swept through the house, she picked up a photo frame and wiped the surface of the table under it. That was a photo of their family of five. Yang Han unintentionally saw the ring on Yang Mo’s hand, staring blankly at it for a long while before calling out, “Old Han.”
Han Shi Yu took a sip of his beer and asked, “What?”
Yang Han: “Do you believe in the existence of Buddha?”
“?” Han Shi Yu said, “I don’t have a religion.”
Yang Han turned her head to look at him with a doubtful gaze, “Then, do you worship Bodhisattva?”
Han Shi Yu asked, “What are you trying to say?”
“Why else would you even catch my dad’s interest,” Yang Han had been dwelling on this issue for a long time as she added, “With the qualities you have, I think you’ll need to give offerings to the gods to achieve that.”
Han Shi Yu: “……”
He said, “I think you have a deep misunderstanding about my charms.”
Yang Han snorted: “Hah.”
“Your dad wrote me a love letter in the past,” Han Shi Yu said calm and perfectly composed, “Although it was only a few sentences.”
Yang Han was in disbelief, “Really? When? You must have dreamed about it, right?”
Han Shi Yu downed the rest of his beer and said, “It was when we got married.”
The wedding was held in Norway.
There were many guests who attended then, with the majority being Han Shi Yu’s friends. Only Han Lang appeared for the parents’ side as Old Yang refused to come no matter what.
Yang Mo guessed that the reason would 90% be that Old Yang couldn’t understand the foreign language and was unable to let go of his pride to swallow that to attend the wedding.
Han Shi Yu who initially planned on relentlessly pestering Old Yang to come had no choice but to give up regretfully.
Yang Mo was one to really prioritize rituals and the meaning behind it. A wedding was a ceremony that tied two lives together, so it carried an even deeper meaning for him. He and Han Shi Yu had agreed that they would each write a paragraph for their wedding vows and the contents would be kept as a secret until the day itself.
The plane to Norway was in the morning, so Han Shi Yu was wearing an eye patch and taking a nap beside him in a drowsy state. Yang Mo looked out the window for a long time.
He could hear the soft breathing coming from beside him. Delicate and fragile, like a quiet warm bed. Han Shi Yu slept really deeply, exactly like a defenceless child. Yang Mo once had the sudden urge to pinch his nose on one morning, but it did not achieve his desired effect. Han Shi Yu didn’t wake up and only frowned a little before shifting forward a little to hug him tightly.
The Yang Mo now did not reach out to pinch his nose, instead he quietly traced the contours of his face.
After all, he was about to place this person into every single decision he would be making from now on for the rest of his life. He needed to take a good look at his face. Just like how if someone were to sign a lifelong contract, they would need to read through the contract carefully before signing it.
Looking at him from head to toe, Yang Mo still had the same old evaluation – looked impressive on the outside but without substance inside.
As many already knew, a male animal having flamboyant appearances was generally for reproductive purposes, which was to attract the female species. As humans, his appearance was truly superior, which greatly increased his chances of mating.
But it just so happened that Yang Mo was blind towards the attraction of appearances. This biological theory that was formed millions of years ago did not work on him.
Yang Mo sighed, not knowing what he should be thinking in his mind as he stared blankly at Han Shi Yu.
At this time, Han Shi Yu parted his lips and whispered in a small voice, “Is your husband handsome?”
Yang Mo: “.”
This man seemed to have woken up since before and felt Yang Mo’s gaze as he slowly blanked out. Han Shi Yu remained lying down in a different position as he said, “I suddenly felt a burning gaze filled with love was basking me, so I woke up in a flattered manner.”
Yang Mo pulled down his eye patch, turning it into a mask to cover his mouth. “You’re better off not awake. Shut up.”
