Bam! Vampire Zombie is at Volume 10.
This is Kamachi Kazuma.
This one was a chain reaction of disasters starting with a meteor shower falling from the sky and with the largescale battle against JB running parallel to that. I seem to think that the human tendency to consider how they can “use” a threat is more frightening than the actual threat itself. This showed itself in a different way within Intellectual Village and Boo Boo.
I also think the fear of a disaster shows itself differently in a location where you don’t know the language or the culture. There are devices that easily make translations for us now, but you might not be able to use those if the power or phone signal goes out. When it comes down to it, knowing where and how you get your information is as important as making sure you know where the emergency exists are.
Whenever Anastasia shows up, there is more of a focus on phones and security. I like those topics a lot too. Maybe because it lets Satori act more like a protagonist instead of being propped up by tools and technology.
Maxwell and Amatsu Yurina created some safe zones during the disaster, but that just helps highlight the moments when that temporary safety falls apart.
During a disaster, the safety you thought was rock solid can crumble in an instant. In fact, the very information telling you something was safe can turn out to be wrong. This was a story of Amatsu Satori struggling to make progress through all of that. I hope you enjoyed it.
I give my thanks to the image illustrator Mahaya-san and my editor Anan-san. So many regular characters live in this same world – a Vampire, a Zombie, Absolute Noah, JB, Yurina, and Anastasia to name a few – so the color illustration for the novel does a lot to show who is in the forefront this time. And I don’t think I could have expanded this world so much without those illustrations. Thank you again.
And I give my thanks to the readers. The terrain destruction tends to get more dynamic when we leave Kukyou City, but what did you think of this meteor shower disaster? It may seem ridiculous at first, but it might shock you to learn that around 10 thousand tons of burned-up stardust falls across the world every single day. (Although it’s all too small to be seen.) A-apparently the Earth is living through an impossible bullet hell game. Anyway, thank you a bunch for reading this far!
And I will end this here.
The story has such a different feel depending on whether his partner is Helen or Anastasia.
