“Wait! What do you mean you’re going back to Mainland?” Lucas stood up as well when he saw Yan Xiaoran walking back to the villa in haste.

He did not know why she was reacting like the end of the world was near, and she had to pack everything else so she could start her journey for adventure.

Just a moment ago, Yan Xiaoran was just sitting with him and chatting, but her attitude turned upside down as soon as she read the message from her phone. Lucas followed her upstairs, and in no time, she already packed her things and was ready to go. Fearing that Alexander would kill him if he let her go so easily, Lucas blocked her way through the door.

Thus when she faced him, Yan Xiaoran felt an overwhelming strength oozing out from his body that a well-trained soldier.

“Lucas, get out of my way. I will send a message to Alexander for him to follow me back home. But I need to go now.” Yan Xiaoran was determined to go back.

“But you’re still recovering.” Lucas glanced at the bandage plastered on her forehead. “Big Bro Alexander will kill me if I just let you go out of this villa.”

Qu Ying Zi’s existence was not announced yet, so Lucas and the others not knowing it was expected. They didn’t even know that Alexander was married not until he blurted it out of nowhere, and even then, the three brothers still couldn’t believe it and had a hard time accepting that Alexander was already married.

It took them at least a few weeks before they grew accustomed to the fact that one of them was married. And they only got to meet Yan Xiaoran at the party.

Hence, when Yan Xiaoran mentioned this unannounced ‘niece’ that no one heard of until now, Lucas was on the brink of having a seizure.

Yan Xiaoran nodded after a second of hesitation. Well, Little Koala was not their biological daughter. The child was her sister, but Alexander proposed that he wanted to adopt her as his own. So it could be said that both Yan Xiaoran and Alexander were now Qu Ying Zi’s parents.

Seeing her nod, Lucas leaned on the door frame for support. His other hand held the back of his neck as he was in a trance.

Inside the car, Alexander felt the phone in his pocket chimed. It was a cute tone used by couples, and it was Yan Xiaoran who set it for him because he always set his ringtone to silent.

Hearing the tone, Alexander already knew that the call was from Yan Xiaoran and smiled slightly.

However, when others heard the tone, they couldn’t help but give him a second glance. This was also the case for Jin Woo, who was driving at that time and almost drove towards a tree when he realized that the tone came from Alexander’s phone.

Silence descended inside the car, and only the sound of rustling and Alexander’s hand tapping the answer button could be heard.

“Hello?” Alexander’s voice soon replaced the silence.

As Alexander listened, his eyebrows started to gather together, and his eyes darkened.

“Alright… I’ll be right there. Wait for me back home.”

After hanging up, Alexander did not speak for a minute. His face turned grim and cold before he dialed another number.

Once the call was connected, his voice was cold as he said, “Prepare the private jet in 20 minutes. We will go back to China.”

20 minutes was an impossible feat to do, but since Alexander was asking for it and no one could refute his orders, his men dropped everything they were doing and started to prepare the private jet for their flight.

“What happened?” Jin Woo looked at Alexander through the rearview mirror.

“Yan Xiaoran went back home.”

“What?” Reo turned back to look at him. “Why did she go back?”

Reo wanted to continue asking, but Alexander’s following words did not only choke him up. Even Jin Woo had to step on the brake abruptly when he heard his words.

“Someone wants to take away our daughter,” Alexander said.
