My Wants To Kill Me - Chapter 13: Chapters 13: Surprise Reward

The man said as he offered Ryder. He looked like he had somewhat calmed down and was now trying to tempt Ryder.

Honestly, Ryder wasn’t sure if he could kill the man. He was hesitating, but he remembered the words that Janus had said to him at that time.

‘Punishment for failure: Alice will die.’

The words kept echoing in his mind.

Alice’s smiling face appeared in his mind. His shaking hand had stopped shaking as he made a determination. He was determined to kill.

He moved his hand that held the knife and stabbed the heart of the man.

“I can even go to hell for her. After our parents’ death, She is the only family I had left. I’ll Never let anything happen to her.”  He muttered as he saw the painful look on the man’s face.

Ryder can never forget the eyes of the man that stared at him while he died. His hands were covered by the man’s blood along with the knife. Thankfully, his clothes were still clear.

He pulled the knife out and let the man fall to the ground.

His body lay in front of Ryder lifeless while Ryder stood in front of him with the knife in his hand.

He turned back to leave when his eyes fell on the topless girl at the corner of the alley. She still hadn’t left, probably because of fear.

The girl was shivering as tears kept falling from her eyes.

Ryder started walking towards her.

“What is your name?” He asked the girl as he gazed in her eyes.

“M..Mary…. please don’t kill me.” She stuttered as she said to him with a shivering body.

Ryder was wearing a jacket. He took that jacket off. After which he took the shirt off that he was wearing.

He was now standing topless in front of the girl.

“I…I…” The girl took a step back as she covered her breast. Ryder can guess what she was thinking.

‘She thinks I’m about to **** her. Well, I can’t blame her for thinking that.’ Ryder thought with a wry smile on his face.

“Don’t worry, I’m not going to do anything. Here, take this shirt. You need something to wear as you leave this place.” Ryder said in a gentle tone.

“You can go now. You are free to leave.” He said to her in a calming tone as he extended his hand towards her.

After a little bit of hesitation, She extended her hand and took the shirt from his hand.

Ryder again wore his jacket as he turned to leave. Wuxiaworld for visiting.

“Ah… Can I know your name?” She asked abruptly as she noticed him leaving.

“Me? You can call me Hades.” He said with a smile as he left. Of Course, he wasn’t going to tell her his real name, thus he told her his avatar’s name that he used in ‘Divinity’.

“Hades…” She muttered to herself as she stood there watching him leave.

After he left, she left the alley as well and walked towards her home.

She didn’t realize, but Ryder kept an eye on her, just to make sure that she safely got out of this area.

‘I’m not a saint, but I felt like I should keep her safe since I have saved her. I can collect some good karma in the process. Though I don’t think that it can balance my sin of murder.’

After making sure that she was out of the area, he walked back.

To get back home, he had to pass through the 67th street. Thankfully, his jacket didn’t have any blood on it and he had found a water source and was able to wash the blood off his hands.

The knife was taken care of as well. He placed that knife on the system storage.

He was still a little shaken as the dying face of that man kept appearing in front of his eyes.

“Janus, Why don’t you announce my completion of the mission? Stop being lazy and give me my rewards.” He started talking to Janus to divert his mind.

“Ding… The main mission has been completed! 30 purchase points have been added to the account of the host for completing the mission.

Extra Reward: Since the host has completed his first main mission before half time, An additional 20 purchase points have been awarded to the host.

“Cool, you finally woke up. Were you sleeping?” He asked in a joking tone.

“The system never sleeps,” Janus replied.

“Why were you so late then?” Ryder inquired with a confused look on his face. He was actually curious about it.

“The system was waiting for the host to get home,” Janus replied.

“Why? Are you being considerate?” He asked him with a chuckle, but Janus didn’t reply.

“Hey. At least tell me what’s in the mysterious box.” He asked Janus as he thought about the box. Although he could open the box, he didn’t want to stop before getting home.

“That’s a mystery,” Janus answered.

“Then open the box and tell me,” Ryder said as his curiosity got the best of him. He decided to open the box right now.

“The box can’t be opened without the key” Janus again replied.

“What key? Where is the key?” Ryder let out with a shocked look on his face, but Janus’ reply only made him angry

“The system can’t answer!” Janus said.

“Are you serious? So you gave me a box as a reward that I can’t even open? Are you messing with me?”

Ryder cursed out loud in an angry tone.
