My Way To You - Chapter 368
I never want to forget your smile, the tears, the laughs or how safe I felt in your arms. I never want to forget about your dreams, your doubts or your strength. Cayden… I think I fell in love with you all over again today and I don’t think I can ever let you go.” Ariana said as she gave him a bright smile but her eyes had turned red.
“So whatever happened after that thing appeared… don’t, don’t think you…. I want you to know…. Cayden you will always be my hero so don’t blame or hate yourself! I love you and that’s all that matters.” Ariana said then placed a soft kiss on Cayden’s lips.
Ariana pulled away and avoided looking at Cayden. “See you later.” Ariana said then walked away. Silent tears started to roll down her cheeks as she walked up to Kyrie. She then grabbed a small piece of Kyrie’s white coat and lowered her head against her back. “Can I invite you to some tea after I get out of detention?” Ariana asked.
“Are you avoiding me now?” Kyrie asked flatly. “No… Sniff… I just won’t be, be, sniff, be good… Sniff… Company right now.” Ariana responded. “I will hold you to it then… no matter how late it is we will have tea.”
Ariana wondered down the empty halls, she had no idea how she got out of the nurse’s office but she didn’t really care. Tears poured out of her eyes as she walked, she couldn’t stop them and she didn’t know why she cried but her heart hurt. She just wanted it to end.
Everyone else was still in class but it was pointless to her, she just wanted to get to detention and get it over and done with. As walked she tried to remember what happened but her head started to hurt. Ariana winced as she remembered being in Cayden’s arms, she remembered looking back and seeing the sand face creature but something was off. She remembered it opening it’s mouth and nothing else.
Her memories ended. All that was left was a horrible sense of sadness but it wasn’t her own sadness. It wasn’t making sense, if she had to put into words, it felt like she was being rejected but why?
Ariana tried to push past the pain as she walked forward. She stumbled forward, the pain was getting worse suddenly a voice echoed in her head. She was sure she heard a voice but what shocked her was the in coming attack.
Fear gripped her as her body siezed. It was too vivid for a memory but she remembered a dark spike. Ariana let go of the memory it was too much. Ariana looked up, she was leaning against a wall, her whole body was drenched in sweat. She got off the wall and sarted to walk forward again, she felt nauseous and weak but she pushed forward. “Vasu?” Ariana called out but then but her tongue. She wanted to ask her Lumas what happened but then remembered they were drained and had fallen asleep. Loralei had also seemed to recovered, she wondered if she got some of her power back after the mutated doll were defeated. The bell rang interrupting Ariana’s thoughts. Ariana brought up her hands and wipped her tears and sweat away.
She decided to focus on the beautiful memories instead. The moment she did her heart settled. She relived each moment in her mind as students started to spill out from their classes.
Ariana walked against the tide and felt some people body checking her as they passed. Some girls even laughed as they did but it was nothing compared to what happened a couple of hours prior. Ariana giggled to herself, it was almost cute to think people her age thought the worst thingbin the world could be this amount of pain and discomfort. The other girls were confused by Ariana’s reaction and stood rooted to their spots as their jaw’s slacked. Ariana pressed forward until she finally made it to the classroom, the door was already opened but she didn’t really want to step in yet. “Sir are you in?” Ariana called out. She waited a few minutes but heard nothing. She looked in and was suddenly face to face with a matching pink haired boy and girl.
Her eyes rounded, she wasn’t expecting to run into them ever again but here they were. “Oh hello.” The girl said cheerfully. “Did we scare you?” The boy asked. Ariana shook her head no vigorously. “Well that’s not very convincing…. Cleo, I think she’s scared of you.” The boy said in a teasing tone.
“What?! If she was scared of anyone it wold be you Antonie!” Cleo said in a huff. “Don’t get mad. Look how cute she looks because she so scared… Cleo look at her eyes… Her eyes are the icing on the cake.” Antonie said with a hushed tone as he stretched out his hand.
Ariana flinched as she felt Antonie’s hand caress her cheek. “Poor thing. Who made you cry so hard?” He murmured gently. “Is that some new cheesy pick up line Antonie?” Cleo said with a light laugh. “Can you not make fun? Look at this face! Cleo doesn’t this move your heart?! I know it moved mine. Makes me want to do something, something extraordinary. What about you?” Antonie asked with a gentle smile but Ariana shivered. “Pffft. My heart can never be moved unless… Well unless you’re asking me to make her cry even more.” Cleo said with a big grin.
“Enough you two. The day is over you should leave.” Waldemar sighed as he stepped behind the two. Antonie and Cleo both jumped a good foot into the air. “Professor Waldemar!’ They both said in unison. “Just Waldemar.” Waldemar said as he stared at the two. “Yes sir.” Antonie said loudly while Cleo rolled her eyes. “Get going.” Waldemar instructed and the two rushed out.
Waldemar and Ariana watched as the two students walked down the hall in a hurry and disappeared. “You’re early.” Waldemar said as he turned his gaze to Ariana. “You said when the bell rang.” Ariana replied as she looked back at Waldemar. “…. Just a little bit.” Waldemar whispered.
