My Way To You - Chapter 395
“Is that it? Is that the end?” Ariana asked quietly. Rahul stayed silent for a moment as he raised his gaze towards the sky. ‘I wish it was.’ Rahul admitted. “So what happened? What made you change from Jiro the benevolent into Rahul the Goddess’s conspirer?” Ariana asked bitterly.
‘Benevolent? Conspirer?!’ Rahul laughed. He brought his gaze back down then nudged Ariana’s head with his snout. ‘If only I was actually acting with benevolence but the truth is I just wanted to see my loved ones happy. I couldn’t stand in their way.’ Rahul said with a bittersweet smile.
‘Well that’s what I wanted to believe but what happened next is what made me who I am today.’ Rahul continued.
Ariana glanced at Rahul and pouted. She didn’t want to hear his story at first and hated that she was forced too but now that they were near the end she wanted to know what made him change. What secrets was Rahul holding?
‘To my horror I became one with Tora.’ Rahul started. Ariana’s eyes widened. “You didn’t die?” Ariana asked. ‘No my soul merged with Tora and I couldn’t figure out why. Tu then grabbed the opal from my hands and kicked aside my corpse like a piece of trash…..
“I have it! I finally have it!” Tu laughed. Her eyes had gone wild and her beautiful face twisted into something sinister and ugly. “Commander are you alright?” A man called out. Tu looked towards the direction of the voice and sneered. “I must act quickly!” She said to her self. She held the opal out with one hand, balancing it perfectly while the other hand hovered over top of it. She started to chant, a steady stream of chi and fire started to flow from the opal and around it. Tu’s blood dripped down from her torn thumb and was absorbed by the opal. “Tu what are you doing?” Jiro asked.
The first engery and chi shot straight up and poured down onto Tu’s body, engulfing her with power. Tu took a deep breath in, taking all the power into her body just as the four men walked up to her and faced her with horror in their eyes. “Commander!” They shouted but they couldn’t move. Tu started to glow and she greeted them with a demon like smile. “You will become my four great generals.” Tu announced. She raised into the ar and stretched out her free hand. “Become the holy beasts!” She shouted.
The four men turned to run but were instantly engulfed in a firey light. “No! What are you doing?!” Jiro shouted from within the opal. Firey fames surrounded them as they screamed bloody murder. “Tu stop this!” Jiro shouted but his cries fell on deaf ears. Soon the men’s bodies started to convulse. Their skin on their limbs and face burst as the armour on their bodies melted away from the flames.
Jiro watched in horror from with in the opal as his men changed from humans into forsaken abominations. Snarls and growls escaped their mouths as the freshly born monsters stared up at Tu with glowing, red eyes. Tu laughed maniacally as she looked down a her new creations. “General Pheonix, General Tortoise, General Tiger, General Dragon, pledge your loyalty to me! Your Grand Master!” Tu commanded.
Each humanoid beast knelt down and bowed their heads in acceptance. Tu waved her hand and unleased another wave of flames. “As a reward for your loyalty I give you heavenly armour.” Tu said as she made the flames circle around each beastman. “Thank you Grand Master.” The beastmen said with demonic, echoing voices. “Now for the others….” Tu said as she floated eleganly forward.
She reached the edge of the safe zone and smiled darkly. She raised the opal high over her head, closed her eyes and started to chant. Soon all the greenery and abundant life started to wither away. Jiro’s eyes widened with terror as he watched all the chi in every living thing be sucked up into the air and transferred into Tu’s body.
“That’s refreshing.” Tu sighed as she opened her eyes, everything was gone. The safe zone turned into a field of decay and dust. Corpses of animals littered the area as the water became black and tar like. “Generals, let us call up my army.” Tu said with a sweet smile. She brought back down the opal and craddled it with care. She guided the Generals towards the entrance of the safe zone and looked along the walls.
When she spotted what she was looking for she placed her right hand over it. “A tiger carving?” Jiro asked. Tu’s eyes started to glow an eerie yellow as her dark smile turned more demonic. Chi and flames entertwined with one another as it moved around her arm and into the small carving.
The maze canyons started to shake as an unhuman like groan ehoed throughout the space. “Rise! All that have fallen rise!” Tu commanded. Blood curdling screams, cries, m.o.a.ns and hissing drowned out the maze’s m.o.a.ning as black aura slithered upwards. Jiro watched as more black aura started to rise at an alarming rate while the maze canyons seemed to disinigrate.
Soon enough the mazes were gone. Black claws and hands broke through the ground’s surface. Jiro’s eyes shook with despair as he wanted his fallen comrades rise up from the Earth but they were covered in a thick coat of miasma.
The army looked around with their glowing, eerie indigo coloured eyes. They quickly spotted Tu and the Generals. “You are my men! You will obey me and follow the general’s commands! If you ever wish to be turned back to into who you were, you must pledge your loyalty to me!” Tu shouted. Every single one of them hesitated as they stared at Tu.
Tu clicked her tongue in frustration. “Grand Master, let us speak on our behalf.” General Tiger asked as he gave Tu a slight bow. Tu tuned her angry gaze to the general. “Insolence!” She sreeched. Tu sliced the general diagonaly in half with her firey hand. General Tiger cried out in pain as his body melted away before everyone. General Tiger was no longer part of the living but rather a puddle of tar below Tu’s feet.
“If you wish to not have the same done to you, obey me! If you wish to return to your families as your human selves then fight for our Nation!” Tu shouted.
