My Way To You - Chapter 396
It did not take long for the army to drop down to their knees pledging their loyalty. The miasma that engulfed them gathered and turned into a swirling stream over their heads. “Grand Master!” They all called out causing the miasma to raise into the air. “Excellent.” Tu whispered as she raised her own hand and shot out fire and chi. It collided with the miasma and created an eerie, galaxy cloud over the army. “Now I reward you with power beyond your imagination!” Tu laughed maniacally.
Acid rain fell from the cloud and drenched the army. The scene burned into Jiro’s mind as his comrades changed drastically. Their skin smoked and melted away, some clawed their faces as other covered theirs. Pieces of flesh dropped in chunks onto the ground along with teeth and hair.
When the rain stopped an unfathomable army of demons stood in their place. Fei, Aoyin, Dao lao Gui and Huangfu Gui, snarled and drowled as they raised their heads from the aftermath. They then stood tall and proud, howling their war cries. Tu couldn’t help but like a demon empress as she looked over her work. “We march!” She shouted then flew forward with the opal cradled in her hands.
The army descended onto the Northern Nation like a bolt of lightnig. No man, woman or child was spared from their destruction. The Nothern Nation sent their armies out as fast as they could but they were completely unprepared in fighting against demons. Their men were easily cut down and conquered before the cry of the morning roaster.
However it was not enough to satisfy Tu’s blood l.u.s.t. She sent out the plague to devesate the Northern people while their Emperor was preparing their next plan of attack. No one was spared, Tu’s need for blood and violence was intensified by the power of the opal and all Jiro could do was watch from within his prison.
Tu and the amy swept through the Nation and only stopped when they stood in front of the Northern Emperor’s palace. “Call out your Emperor!” General Dragon called out. He, General Phoenix and General Tortoise stood a the front gates with their army standing behind them. “FIRE!” They all heard and flaming arrows descended over the army.
The Huangfu Gui group rose into the air and attacked the archers. Men grabbed their kneck and started to suffocate as they dropped to their knees while others fell of the walls to their doom. “Charge!” General Phoenix shouted as the army started to attack the gates. “My Emperor, the abominations are breaking through our defenses.” A young man informed as he kneeled before an old man dressed in navy blue garbs and gold embroidery.
“Have you heard back from the Monks of Sheng Quan?” The Emperor asked. A low, dark laugh echoed through out the room. The young man rose to his feet and looked around, placing his hands on to the hilt of his sword. “Come forward.” The Emperor commanded with a calm voice. “Is that any way to speak to the future Empress of the United Nations?” Tu asked as she floated forward.
Tu was dressed to the nines with an elegantly embroidered, light purple Hanfu. She was still cradling the opal, like a child with their ball. The young man’s breath was taken away as he looked at Tu. “… a fairy princess.” He whispered and the Emperor shot the young man a cold glare. The young man couldn’t take his eyes off of Tu and completely let go of his guard.
Tu giggled causing the young man to blush. “I can assure you I am no fairy, I am entirely human.” Tu said as she floated forward. “Who are you?” The Emperor asked coldly as he looked down at Tu from his throne. “The Grand Master of the army that is taking over your palace.” Tu answered sweetly. The Emperor laughed bitterly. “Grand Master? Are you saying that you command the unholy army?”
Tu tilted her head and looked somewhat confused. “Why have you not surrendered your throne yet if you already have the answer to your own question?” The Emperor and young man’s eyes widened in surprise. “How dare you!” The Emperor spat but then he started to suffocate. Tu had raised her hand and sent out a powerful wave of chi and caught his throat. “My Emperor!” The young man shouted as he jumped to attack Tu.
Tu let go of the Emperor and sent the young man flying acoss the room with a wave of her hand. The young man collided into a wall and coughed up blood from he impact. “What are you planning to do to my people?!” The Emperor shouted with a forced voice. Tu turned to the Emperor and smiled. “I didn’t kill him, he did call me a fairy princesss.” She said but her smile just sent chills down his spine.
Suddenly the Emperor heard women screaming from outside. “So the rumours were true… You spare no life.” The Emperor said as his face paled. “Anyone who is on your side is worthless. My Emperor will unite the Nations and make everything prosper.” Tu replied proudly. “But at what cost?” The Emperor asked pitifully. “Everythng.” Tu replied without hesitation. The Emperor’s eyes shook with fear.
“If I surrender and not fight will you let everyone else live?” THe Emperor asked. Tu smiled. “There will be many lives spared.” Tu replied. The Emperor stepped down from his throne and walked up to Tu with a sullen look. He stopped walking a foot away from Tu and dropped down to his knees. He hung his head and presented his crown. “I surrender.” He said sorrowfully. Tu laughed and floated forward to grab the crown.
“BUT I WON’T DIE WITHOUT ONE LAST FIGHT!” The Emperor shouted just as Tu’s hand touched the crown. The Emperor lunged forward with a small, silver dagger. Tu had no time to react while the dagger was just about to plunge into her abdomen. “NOOOOO!” Jiro shouted and a firey pulse pushed the Emperor back, saving Tu.
The demonic army broke into the throne room and Tu looked furious. “You had your chance!” She spat as she waved her hand. She caught the Emperor with her chi and fire and brought him an inch away from her face. Her beautiful face twisted wth insanity and rage as she scowled at the old man. “Because of you, your whole family will suffer just like you!” She hissed then started to twist and drain the Emperor of his blood.
