My Way To You - Chapter 407
“Why did you let her go on her own?!”
“…..”
“Don’t just stand there! Do something! Fix this!”
“Why did she go on her own?!”
“What’s going on out there? Mr. Dabney why is the school on lock down?”
“I don’t know! We weren’t told anything just to stand by but I can’t believe she left the school grounds! I can’t believe there is a way to leave the school grounds! The two of you are in so much trouble when this is over!” Mr. Dabney shouted as he looked at Cayden and Talisha. While Halina and Edlyn looked at the uprooted willow tree.
“I can fix the portal but it will take time to grow another tree.” Talisha said as she looked at the willow tree. “We don’t have time.” Edlyn said as she hugged Vasu against her body. “She’s out there on her own right now and needs our help.” She continued as her voice started to shake. “We need to let the Headmaster know that she is out there.” Mr. Dabney sighed.
“… I might have an idea.” Halina said quietly as if she was too afraid of what she was saying. Everyone turned their gazes to Halina and waited. Halina instantly shrunk back as her eyes started to shake. “Well?” Mr. Dabney urged. “We don’t have time to lose. She needs help now.” Cayden said harshly causing Halina to squeak. Halina looked at everyone and gulped, she had no time to hesitate. “Professor Waldemar!” Halina shouted.
“Waldemar? Gautam Waldemar? What does this have to do with him?” Mr. Dabney asked with a confused look. “H-h-h-he has a w-way to m-move around w-w-without having t-to w-w-worry a-about the lock down.” Halina said as her whole body trembled. It was as if she was revealing a horrible taboo but no one cared, they all busy trying to process what she said.
“Ariana said that moving through the shadow realm is dangerous. People could go mad from going in there.” Edlyn said with a low, threatening tone. Cayden eye’s grew wide as Edlyn revealed what Halina was talking about. “What other choice do we have?” Halina said as she calmed down. “You think he would help?” Talisha asked. “Maybe… Actually most likely he will.” Mr. Dabney said with a firm head nod. Then he looked around and picked a location.
“You kids should go back to class.” Mr. Dabney said right before he started to run off. “Wait! I want to come too!” Edlyn shouted but then Cayden grabbed her arm. Edlyn was caught off guard and let go of Vasu. “Cayden what are you doing?!” Edlyn yelled furiously. “Look.” Cayden said as he let go of Edlyn and nodded to Vasu. “What?!” Talisha shouted as they all looked at Vasu and saw that he was glowing a bright pink while swirling silver, gold and pearl white lights appeared on his body.
‘She made it.’ He said with a gentle smile. ‘Vasu!’ Aroha shouted as the other Lumas started to race towards the group, to everyone’s surprise they were also glowing like Vasu. “What do you mean she made it?” Edlyn asked.
“Adonis.” Cayden called out. Adonis appeared before Cayden but he looked completely normal. ‘She needs us.’ Rahul said as she stepped beside Edlyn and sat down. ‘Loralei do you think you can do something to connect to her?’ Rahul then asked as he turned his head to Loralei.
‘I can try but I don’t know. You know the knights might reject my call.’ Loralei said but she was already moving to try. She closed her eyes and changed into her mermaid form but something was different. Loralei opened her eyes and shouted in surprise as she felt a strong power course through her body. “Loralei, you’re beautiful…” Edlyn said in awe while Cayden’s eyes shook with rage.
‘I can’t believe this!’ Loralei shouted. She was still a mermaid but her body became more defined, her hair was longer and flowing elegantly around her body, a golden tiara with white pearls sat on her head, a long, transparent silver, shoulder hugging, ruffle dress was on her while her purple tail had a few rainbow scales scattered everywhere.
“Your eyes…” Halina said as she raised her hand and pointed to Loralei’s face. ‘My eyes?’ Loralei asked as she raised her webbed hands and touched her face. ‘Your eyes… they look human.’ Davita said as she took a closer look. ‘And they’re the colour of the sea!’ She shouted happily. ‘What?!’ Loralei shouted in surprise.
‘Try to call the knights.’ Vasu said as he looked up at Loralei. ‘O-okay.’ Loralei said as she raised her hands. A glowing, purple magic circle appeared on the ground, it started to turn clockwise as the runes moved in a circular motion. A figure started to rise from the circle and Loralei couldn’t help but smile but the moment the figure stretched out it’s massive wings her smile dropped. ‘You’re not there yet.’ The massive swan said as he looked at Loralei.
Suddenly a purple light shot out from Halina. ‘My love!’ She shouted as she rushed up to the massive swan. “Ophelia.” Otis said affectionately. “Your love?” Halina said as she looked at the pair of swans. ‘How did I call you?’ Loralei asked as she took a closer look at Otis. ‘Young one… No, princess, you couldn’t focus enough to break through the barrier. So I came to answer your call.’ Otis replied. “Princess!” Edlyn and the Lumas shouted in unison.
‘That’s right. You’ve been recognized by King Ingemar. Just like me you are now one of the royals.’ Otis explained. ‘What?!’ Loralei shouted in surprise. ‘Now is not the time. We must aid your Master or else she will be engulfed in her own power.’ Otis said before he placed a sweet kissed on Ophelia’s head. Ophelia waddled back and sighed as her sparkling eyes watched her husband. Otis closed his eyes and a massive dark wind encircled around him.
In a flash Otis changed from a massive swan into a handsome man dressed in feathers. His hair was pitch black, he had purple eyes and a grin that could shake anyone’s heart. He held out his hand and waited. Loralei looked at the hand and hesitated. “Take my hand princess.” He said in a low, resonating voice. “I-I-I can hear him.” Talisha said as she turned to Edlyn. “S-s-so can I.” Halina said. Loralei raised her hand and placed it into Otis’s. “Now. Let’s go save your Master.”
