My Way To You - Chapter 417
“What do you mean?” Ariana asked as her heart started to thump strongly against her chest. “… Her child should have never been taken with her. It was selfish of her and we know why she did it but things could have been done differently. She was loved by Kadia, if she pleaded to her she would have done anything she asked.” Ingemar said as he side looked at Ariana.
Ariana’s eyes had gone wide with horror, she knew instantly who Ingemar was talking about. She opened her mouth to say something but her voice was caught in her throat. She closed her mouth and just stayed silent. Ingemar watched Ariana’s face for a little longer and then sighed. If she didn’t want to ask he wasn’t going to tell her.
Ariana balled up her hands and cursed. She didn’t want to get her judgement clouded, she had made her decision, she got confirmation of her guesses but this was something way off. “… She, Evan-my-moth-I,” Ariana struggled with her words, each syllable caused her great pain and tears had welled up in her eyes. “If you do not ask me now, you will never get a chance again until you have finished your training with Gautum.” Ingemar warned gently.
Ariana became stiff. She only had now to ask or else this would be the thorn in her side that she would never be able to get rid off. “Evangeline’s real daughter, was she reborn then?” Ariana asked. “Yes.” Ingemar replied. Ariana felt her blood run ice cold. “Will she become the jewel eyed priestess?” She then asked in a cold tone. “No.” Ingemar replied. Ariana went silent as she collected her thoughts.
“We are here.” Ingemar announced. Ariana turned her body around slightly and saw the light. She tried to move more but realized how weak she was. “From here you will be able to take control of your body but the power in your body may overwhelm you. I promise you will survive so do not worry.” Ingemar said apologetically. “It’s okay. Thank you for your help.” Ariana said but Ingemar didn’t put her down. Instead he caught her off guard and wrapped his her arm around her body and held her closely in an embrace.
“I told Kadia this will be the only time that I will take over your body and she helped with everything I have done. Please understand that she is not punishing you, instead she has a lot of faith in you. If your sister never did that taboo ritual it would have been her real daughter who would be standing in this position not you.”
“Then my Kadia’s life wouldn’t be in danger. She wouldn’t have interfered in the ritual and change the direction of the soul summoning to your path, it would have been someone else’s. Someone unrelated, then there wouldn’t have been a reason for her to have gone to the realm of the damned and fought to retrieve that soul back and put it in the reincarnation circle but Kadia felt so responsible. She risked her life to make sure that everyone has a chance to be saved. Please do not push her anymore then this.”
“If you do… My Kadia, my Kadia will disappear and I will truly lose my heart and reason to live. Ariana protect yourself, do not throw your life away, do not try and make yourself move along your path too quickly but with everything that has happened so far… You will be facing so much heartache and trials that you may lose sight of what is truly important. Do not give up. Save this world and more importantly save my Kadia.” Ingemar said in a shaky, pitiful voice.
Ariana’s body started to shake. Tears started to flow downwards as she gasped for air. “So she was really brought here? She lived her life and I am now in her child’s body?” Ariana asked rhetorically. “I’m sorry.” Ingemar said but Ariana’s tears wouldn’t stop. “The soul… Who was the child reincarnated as?” Ariana asked. Her eyes shook with fear that everything blurred. “*****.”
“No, why did she do that?” Ariana asked. “***** ***** ******.” Ingemar said. His words shook Ariana to her very core. She had no idea how to respond to what he told her. In the next second Ingemar pulled Ariana from his body and pushed her into the light. “We will meet again.” Ingemar said as his figure dissolved into the darkness.
…..
Ariana opened her eyes and she was standing in the middle of a sea of dark bubbles. “Ariana!” Sheena called. Turned to face her but she couldn’t bring herself to smile. She was at war with herself and the power coursing through her veins was too much. “Sheena.” She called out and even her own voice sounded so foreign to her.
“Ariana?” Sheena called out again in a concerned voice and Bruno stepped forward wondering how she was doing all this magic. “I don’t know what to do with them.” Ariana started then turned her gaze to her prisoners. “They did so many bad things but I am not supposed to judge them… Is it alright to kill them?” Ariana asked.
A chill ran down Sheena and Bruno’s bodies. They had no idea what to say. “Ariana!” A familiar voice called out and Ariana flinched. “No I shouldn’t, too many people will be sad.” Ariana said flatly. She then raised her right arm up in the air. “But they will not learn anything if they don’t have a little punishment.” Ariana continued. ‘NO WAIT!’ Another familiar voice shouted as a bright purple light came racing towards her.
“Pouli,” Ariana said and a massive amount of dark magic engulfed her. ‘Stop!’ Loralei shouted as she collided into Ariana’s body. She instantly wrapped her arms around Ariana and protected her from the harsh magic. ‘Ahhhhh!’ Loralei screamed. “Loralei?” Ariana called out flatly but she didn’t dispel the magic. ‘You need to stop anymore then thing you might kill someone.’ Loralei struggled to say but Ariana looked at her indifferently.
“Alright.” Ariana said as she brought her hand down and stopped her spell but the power would not leave. “What’s going on?!” Edlyn shouted as she and the others got to Sheena. “I don’t know!” Sheena shouted as the dark magic started to increase in power. ‘Ariana stop!’ Loralei shouted. Ariana brought up her arms and wrapped them around Loralei. “I did.” She replied. The touch caused a strong electrical current to strike Loralei’s body and she screamed louder.
“We’re too late!” Otis said as he stepped forward. “What do you mean we’re too late?!” Talisha shouted. “She can’t stop it on her own.” Otis replied. “She needs help now.” Otis said as he dramatically flipped aside his feather robe.
