My Way To You - Chapter 455
“What’s wrong?!” Cayden asked as he looked around. “Oh! Sorry…. I just never thought that you would actually want those.” Ariana said softly as her face flushed a deep red. “Why wouldn’t I? They’re so beautiful and,” Cayden said as he started to test out the blades. He manged to slice a wooden display in half with a single swing. “Amazing!” Cayden said excitedly.
Ariana turned around, hiding her steaming face as Cayden played with his daggers. She quickly started to search in the other drawers and found what she was looking for. Two small bottle that sparkled with an ominous liquid. Ariana turned around and walked over towards Cayden. She presented the bottles as she averted her gaze.
“T-T-This goes with it.” She said bashfully. Cayden looked at the bottles in Ariana’s hand. “What is it?” Cayden asked as he reached for the bottles. “Deadly poison.” Ariana replied. “You’re giving me poison?” Cayden asked. Ariana nodded her head without looking at him. “Thank you?” Cayden said as he picked up the bottles.
“It goes into the hilt. There are compartments and a switch. Press the switch and the tops of the bottle will be pierced. The liquid will come out and travel down the blades of the daggers. Press the switch again and it will close the bottles for you. Don’t worry if you get poisoned yourself, Adonis is the cure. He can synthesis your blood and help you make more and make you immune to it.” Ariana explained.
“Wow… How?” Cayden stared to ask but the look on Ariana’s face told him everything. With a small chuckle he admired the daggers again. He then placed the bottle into the compartments of the hilt. “When did you come up with such a design?” Cayden asked. “That’s not important right now! Charoite hasn’t come back and we need to get moving.” Ariana said in a higher pitched voice.
Cayden couldn’t help but laugh when he saw the way she acted. “Alright. I think that’s it for me. We can’t weigh ourselves down.” Cayden said. “Mmmh.” Ariana said before she held out her claw and waited for Cayden to take hold. Cayden didn’t hesitate, he quickly grabbed a holster and awkwardly grabbed Ariana’s hand. It was Ariana’s turn to laugh.
“I can wait for you to get ready.” She said with a big grin. Cayden flushed as he nodded his head in thanks. “One second.” Cayden said as he started to fasten the holster around his waist. As he was busy fastening the belt Ariana leaned down and kissed his cheek. “One second is over.” She said with a sly smile. Cayden kissed her back. “Thank you for the daggers.” He whispered.
Ariana cursed as her face started to glow a bright red. “You ready now?” She asked after he back off and placed the daggers into the holster. “Ya.” He replied as he brought up his own hand. Ariana grabbed his hand and lead Cayden to the back of the armory. “It should be right here.” Ariana said as looked around the weapons until she spotted the family crest.
She pushed down on a small stone carving of a red, wingless dragon with two large horns. The wall started to rumble and suddenly swung back, taking the display of weapons with it. She pulled Cayden forward and stepped into a dim lit corridor. She then let go of his hand and pulled out a few red metal ball. She pressed down on the tops and watched as the started to blink with light.Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click #%!d(string=12021185405774505)/tunnels-part-2_%!d(string=51115537060646925) for visiting.
She then threw them into the armory and took a step back with Cayden. In a matter of seconds the armory caught fire. “Let’s go.” Ariana said sadly as she turned and pressed another carving on the wall. The doors swung back and closed off the armory. Ariana could feel her eyes stinging as she recalled all her memories with her family in the bunker. She raised her claw and balled it.
Her grandmother gave her explicit instruction on what to do when they opened the secret tunnels. Ariana let out a loud cry as she swung down her fist on to the family crest carving. Suddenly a loud locking mechanism was heard. “Hopefully they won’t be able to follow us.” Ariana said as she turned and walked away.
Cayden looked at the back of the wall that lead to the armory one last time then chased after Ariana.
…..
“No… They’re still sleeping.” Ariana responded. “And it looks like we are out of time.” Cayden said as he nodded behind her. There stood a mini version of Charoite, blinking his beady, black eyes. “Charoite! come rest you did an amazing job.” Ariana said happily. Charoite started to cry and multi-coloured purple, white and black stones started to tumble downwards. Ariana was shocked she didn’t even know that her familiars could cry, let alone cry gem stones.
“It’s okay. Look we got really far away because of you. So don’t cry.” Ariana said softly as she tried to reach out for Charoite. A small roar was heard as Charoite jumped into her embrace. He rubbed his smooth head in to her shoulder as more gem stones spilled. Ariana petted his back and placed a sweet kiss on his head. “Please rest now.” She cooed. Charoite nodded his head before he disappeared.
Ariana let out a small sigh before she let out a small yelp. “We have to move.” Cayden said as he scooped Ariana up in to his arms. “Wait! Wait!” Ariana said as she struggled against Cayden. “What?” Cayden asked. “Let me collect Charoite’s tears. G*d knows we need funds.” Ariana said shamelessly. Cayden rolled his eyes and put Ariana down. He then started to collect the stones and looked at them curiously. “What are these?” He asked as he pocketed the stones.
Ariana let out a small giggle. “They’re charoite stones. Pure ones by the smell of them.” Ariana said as she gently tapped her nose. “Of course.” Cayden said as he rolled his eyes. He then went to pick up Ariana again but she hugged herself and shook her head no. “I’m heavy. I’ll walk.” Ariana said. Cayden let out a small chuckle. “Prove it.” he said as he watched her with playful eyes.
Ariana stood up but fell right back down. “You exhausted yourself too.” Cayden said as he turned around and squatted. “Here, climb on then you won’t feel so awkward.”
