Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 124
Monari was gone, Shisui was the one left in charge of the village and also the farm fields outside. To his help, there were Itachi, Konan, Sand Siblings, Minato and Naruto.
Shisui arrived at the watering system that Shiroken had made. He looked at it awkwardly, “How do I use it?”
“I don’t know either. I have never seen a machine like this before.” Itachi also wondered.
Konan walked to the windmill, ignoring the two, she pulled a lever. She knew, after all, Shiroken made it right in front of her. “This lever handles the stopping mechanism of this windmill.
“Now, the water will automatically be sprinkled in the fields, you just need to pour this special Natural Energy-rich sand over the whole field.” She told them like a professional..
“Wait… there are a hundred square kilometres of land. Did Lord Dama do it every day?” Minato asked.
Konan nodded, “Yes, two times every day. How else do you think all the green grass you look around came to be?”
Shisui suddenly activated his perfect Susanoo, “Well, better get to work. All those who can fly and move really fast grab one sack of sand each. Those who can’t, keep an eye on the windmill.”
Shisui was the boss. Itachi followed and activated his perfect Susanoo. Konan used her paper wings, Gaara used the sand and Minato with Naruto used the Flying Thundergood kunai.
All these overly powerful people today worked like good farmers in the fields. Shiroken would have been proud if he had seen this. But he was somewhere else, dealing with something much more important and serious.
…
Konoha,
Monari arrived in Konoha immediately with Minato’s help. She quickly found Tsunade. “Who did it?”
Tsunade was taken aback by her sudden arrival but gathered herself. This was a major crisis and she had to act calmly, “We don’t know yet. All the Anbu of Konoha have been counted. We don’t even employ the numbers we were told about that attacked. Even Danzo has been saying that he didn’t do it, and sadly I think he didn’t. It would be a very foolish thing even for him.”
“Well, I came here in case Shiro becomes too angry and decides to do something that he would regret later on. You all should pray that he does not really do anything. Tell me the location where the attack happened.” Monari asked.
“We have sent our men ther…” Danzo tried to speak.
Monari just cast her gaze at him once and shut him up, “Do not speak when I am not talking to you. And I don’t speak with dead men. Do not think Shiro does not know what you have been doing behind his back,”
Tsunade rejoiced to hear this. Danzo was a pain in her back and it was better if Shiroken killed him, this way she can present a better image of herself to the clans. And since people loved Shiroken, they would accept whatever he tells them.
However, what she didn’t know was that all the clans that were supporting Danzo were already on Shiroken’s radar and they will not be let go no matter what they do now.
Tsunade showed a map to Monari, “Here, in this east forest. I have sent Kakashi and two more competent Jonin. They will try to investigate the scene as well.”
“Don’t worry, Shiro is most likely already there. Well, I will go too now. You keep things in control here. I will talk with the people outside and make them stop protesting. We can’t have this turn into a riot now.” Monari said and left.
As related to Shiroken, Monari was known pretty well by the villagers of Konoha. They respected her and her words. So they calmed down knowing that Shiroken was handling things himself.
…
Forest East of Konoha,
“Lord Shikaku, who do you think it could be? Lord Jiraiya said it wasn’t Danzo or his root.” Kakashi tried to talk with the only mentally superior person there. Guy was strong, by in the physical department only.
Shikaku shrugged, “Who knows. But it was most likely either Iwa or Kumo. These two villages and their respective countries are the only major places left that are still not under Lord Dama’s influence. But again, it could be one of the many small villages and their small shinobi communities too. Bit it’s clear, someone is trying to pin Lord Dama and Konoha against each other. I heard the person they killed was close to Lord Dama.”
Kakashi sighed. It had been decades but it seemed the world had still not changed much. War and fighting were still rampant around there.
“Lord Dama is a true man of youth. He alone has changed the world so much. Now Konoha has no animosity with Sunagakure due to him. Our village is also economically better. Only if Iwa and Kumo could also calm down and accept him, we can have a truly peaceful world.” Guy praised Shiroken, the only man he considered to be more youthful than himself.
Shikaku sighed, “Not everyone thinks the same as you, Guy. If you look at the pattern, the most common thing about all the countries and villages now under Lord Dama is the same. Water Country’s Daimyo is Lord Dama himself, Kirigakure’s Mizukage was also changed into someone with a brain and drive for peace. Wave Country’s Daimyo is also him. Sunagakure has no Kazekage anymore as he died. Now Lord Dama rules it as Chief Executive, the Daimyo of the Wind Country is also a foolish man, who is most likely under Lord Dama’s thumb now. And Konoha, well, we have a new Hokage now, a medical genius, who believes in saving lives.”
“What about the Daimyo? He’s a stubborn man, he would never agree with Lord Dama.” Kakashi asked.
Shikaku sighed again, “What a pain. He’s probably somehow controlled too. Otherwise, we wouldn’t see Nidama Clan moving around the country with such ease. And the contract to keep Konoha’s influence out of the rest of the country indicates exactly this. But, I don’t mind this. The world needed someone who could bring it together as one, this is the only way to stop the fighting. But, kings do not like to abdicate their thrones. And it’s human nature to resist control. Iwa and Kumo will probably not go down without a fight.”
“We’ve arrived.” Guy stopped.
But, the scene in front of them was much different from what they expected. They saw a big muscular old man and Shiroken, sitting on the ground with a small table in between.
“IS THAT… the dead man?” Kakashi wondered.
…
Shiroken didn’t require a long time to reach any place on the planet. As soon as he closed his eyes and sensed the general direction nature told him to go, he flew as fast as he could.
He just hoped that Rakumatsu wasn’t really dead. The old man was too precious to him. As the oldest of the Nidama clan, Rakumatsu was a wise man and could be seen as a spiritual and physical role model for all of the Nidama clan. Since most people could not really become like Shiroken due to differences in biology, Rakumatsu gave them a different idol. Including Jin, the two were supposed to be the most muscular people in the clan, possibly the plant.
*BOOM*
Shiroken landed inside the village with a loud thud, the trees fluttered from the wind-generated and all the birds in the vicinity flew away due to the disturbance. The first thing he saw was the dead bodies of the ordinary men of Dama Country. These poor people died for no reason and he couldn’t do anything to bring them back.
If there was even a speck of life remaining in them, he could have done something, but bringing a dead person back to life was outside his domain and also something he himself considered Taboo.
Then he saw the battered body of Rakumatsu. Shiroken sadly walked to him and crouched.
“FUFUFUFUFUF… AAAA… FUFUFUFUF…”
(⚆_⚆)
Shiroken was shocked by the noises Rakumatsu was making. *BAM* He bumped on his back.
“Old man, are you seriously sleeping right now? I thought you were dead.” He moved him.
*YAWN*
“Ah, you’re finally here. I was waiting for you, Lord Dama.” Rakumatsu woke up but didn’t move.
“What exactly happened?” He asked him.
Rakumatsu’s face turned sad, “Those poor kids. There were 50 of them, I killed more than 30 of them. But, I was too injured. I knew I would die if I continued to fight. So I played dead. But those imbeciles beat my body as I faked death. They broke nearly all of my bones. So I decided to wait for you.”
Shiroken quickly used his healing powers to heal his body. Nearly every joint in his old body was broken. It was a shock how the man even went to sleep, he should have been in mind breaking pain He had also not eaten or drank anything, plus there was blood loss.
Shiroken quickly arranged food and water for Rakumatsu and made a table for him to eat. Meanwhile, he collected all the dead bodies of Dama nationals. However, he didn’t find any of the attacker’s bodies.
Returning to Rakumatsu, he asked, “Can you tell me who exactly it was that attacked you?”
Rakumatsu nodded as he ate, “This was one of the reasons why I tried to stay alive. I knew what the attackers were trying to do. I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself if you had destroyed Konoha in rage. When they were hitting me, they were constantly berating you, as if they had a personal grudge.
“Slowly, I realised their identity. They kept on saying how you killed their past kage, how you put that woman in the place and how you have changed their traditions. From what I know, Lady Tsunade has been in power for nearly just a month, that’s not enough time to do whatever those men said.
“Sunagakure has no woman leader. That left only one single place.”
Shiroken, in shock, completed his words. “KIRIGAKURE?”
Who would have thought, it was neither Iwagakure nor Kumogakure, but instead a village already under Shiroken’s control. This made him realise something, ~Perhaphs, I was too kind to them,~
[A/N: Did anyone expect this? Something that I warned about from the start happened. It is human nature to oppose any kind of control. Although what Shiroken is doing is right, people sometimes don’t want to change, they don’t want their traditions to change, even if the said tradition involves children killing each other. And when such people are given the freedom to do anything, they unite and start a rebellion.
I told you, Shiroken is like a god, but just being powerful does not solve everything. Though he did learn his lesson this time. Killing should never be an option, but sometimes, it is the default solution, since some people refuse to change with time.]
