Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 126
“I gave you all one chance. You spoiled it, not only disobeyed me but also killed innocent people. Now that the sword has fallen on you, you expect forgiveness? No. You have two minutes to decide.” Shiroken didn’t step back from his decision.
This was Shiroken’s plan from the start. For social equality, first, all the things that divided the society needed to be destroyed.. And one of the major factors why wars exist was animosity between clans.
Although it was not his original plan to be this forceful on these clans, now they had crossed the line. He couldn’t always put all his energy into making sure these clans were not planning something. He had other things to focus on and worry about.
The clan heads knew that they f’ed up this time. There was no running, and even if they ran and somehow survived, that would be the end of their clans.
“Can… we meet our families for the last time?” They asked.
Relenting, Shiroken gave them the option, “Yes, you can. But, do know this, if any of your clans rebelled after your deaths, I will consider you incited them. That would mean doom for the clan. So, it’s on you all that you do everything in your power to make it so they don’t blame the village for your deaths.
“Maybe you all can write a suicide letter, claiming you all were disappointed with yourself and how badly you managed the village. That you feel guilty for all the lives lost due to your blindness.”
They accepted this condition happily, knowing that by doing this they would be making their clans appear like saints to the public.
Once they were gone, Pakura asked, “Are you sure they won’t incite the village?”
“Yes, they are scared right now. I killed one of their fellow clan head just for speaking badly and for corruption. It should be clear to them what’s at stake.” He said.
“And would you? Kill their clans if they incited them?” She inquired.
Shiroken didn’t answer her directly, “Would you not remove a beehive in your house whose bees are constantly biting you and your friends?”
…
Konoha,
Shiroken and Rakumatsu returned. But first, they went to meet the Caravan of merchants. They had already started moving back to home. Shiroken stopped them and told them to return. But only half of them.
After that, they came to Hokage’s office. Monari was there, waiting for Shiroken’s eventual arrival. They had no idea what had happened, because Kakashi, Guy and Shikaku didn’t have teleportation power, they were still on their way.
“Where is the boy?” He inquired about the boy who survived the attack.
Silently, he was taken to him. He was resting in the room. Scaredly, like he had seen his father, he jumped to hug him. Shiroken was like the father of the nation to them, and all those people who worked closely with Nidama Clan did come to see Shiroken as a father.
“Calm down, it was Kirigakure. A few clans from there were foolish enough to do this. I have punished them already. Rakumatsu is also alive, I was able to save him. You go with him back home.” he helped the boy calm down.
And soon, Shiroken found himself sitting face to face with Tsunade. “You should be happy, it wasn’t Konoha who dug its grave.”
She couldn’t really be happy. The tension this whole incident brought was too much. “I… I am coming to hate the position of Hokage more and more with each passing day. From the day I took the office, I haven’t been able to take a good calm breath. Something comes up one after another.”
“Those are the sacrifices you must make to make a better world. Anyway, consider this a lesson. Keep the clans under your thumb, if they go out of their line, they will get what Kirigakure did.” He warned her.
Danzo, who was present in the room spoke from the side, “And what did you do there?”
Shiroken looked at the man sharply. ~Ah, I can’t wait to publicly rip his body into pieces. His whole face screams traitor, I wonder how both Hiruzen and Tobirama were fooled by him.~
“Total disintegration of the clan system. There are no clans in Kirigakure now. All people will have their names registered in a common registry, instead of it being clan-based. All clan heads have graciously given up their positions.” He proudly revealed.
~Graciously, huh.~ Tsunade silently scoffed at that idea.
Danzo, meanwhile, was taken aback. This meant Shiroken made Kirigakure weaker. The sole reason shinobi villages stay strong is the tradition of clans. Because each clan has their teachings accumulated among them and all their children master those teachings. Each clan has something different to offer. Now, if all of them were disintegrated, there would be no original clan trait left. All the special abilities will fade away.
But what he didn’t know was that sometimes diversifying the genes creates good results too. What would have happened if Senju and Uchiha were known to marry each other? There would most likely have been a whole population of highly overpowered people in the village.
But too bad, what Shiroken said was exactly the problem here as well. Clans hated each other. Hence, unity was impossible.
Danzo wondered if the same will happen to Konoha. He was not wrong though, since Shiroken was only looking for a reason to push his agenda. And unknowingly, Danzo himself was pushing these clans to do something dumb.
“Lord Dama, you are an elder of this village. Please rest assured, nobody shall do anything to harm you and especially not the people of Dama country. They are as important to us as flowers to a bee.” Danzo assured him.
Shiroken knew these words were true. If Konoha was rich, Danzo was rich, if he was rich his organisation could sustain.
Shiroken smiled, “Of course. But how am I supposed to feel good when you are still running a secret organisation of Ninjas, totally under your control?”
“W-What are you saying? Root was closed a long time ago.” Danzo defended.
Every single person in the room knew Danzo was full of sh*t. But, they stayed silent, letting him dig his own grave slowly. Shiroken had too much to deal with already, killing Danzo prematurely would create problems in Konoha internally. After all, the man had been an elder with unrestricted power for decades, it would take some time to undo everything he has done.
With that, Shiroken got up. “Well, Tsunade, I shall take my leave now.”
Monari, however, didn’t move, she was staring at Danzo with an angry gaze. She had most likely sensed the many Sharingan on the man’s hand and the most powerful one under his eye bandage. She most likely was less concerned about the eyes belonging to the Uchiha clan and angrier that this man was the cause of so much death yet he was seen as some sort of saviour.
Shiroken walked to her and patted her shoulder, “Hey, let’s go. We’ve got farm fields to water.”
She nodded and got up and walked behind him. But Shiroken stopped and looked back at Tsunade, “Ah, one more thing, Tsunade. You still owe me the money.”
Tsunade had a soft spot when it came to money, “WHAT? When? I never took your money.”
Shiroken scoffed, “Huh, you forgot? I had to pay a gold brick to the owner of that restaurant where you were attacked.”
“Shizune, is this true?” Tsunade asked.
Shizune nodded meekly, “Yes, lady Tsunade. When Lord Dama held you in his arms to take you away, the owner of the restaurant cried for all the damage. So Lord Dama handed him a large gold bar.”
Tsunade stutteringly took out her small money pouch and fiddled, “H-How much was that worth?”
“About one and a half million Ryo.” He answered.
*THUD*
The small money pouch slipped from her hand and fell down. She also fell back to her chair with shock written on her face. Her eyes blankly stared at Shiroken in horror. “T-This… I… I will never financially recover from this.”
However, what they didn’t see was the sparkling eyes of Monari. And what she asked next made Shiroken slap himself in the face for bringing the money matter up right now.
Like a slithering snake, Monari walked to Shizune and asked, “Wohahaha… Shiro picked Tsunade in his arms? I’m going to need a full detailed report on what happened.”
Shizune gulped her saliva, noticing Monari’s crazed greedy eyes.
