Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 151
2 months had passed since Shiroken’s took over the Lightning country. Nothing much had changed for the lives of the people living normal lives. For those living in poverty, the difference was the same as the sky and the earth.
The people in poverty suddenly found jobs available for them. They were hard jobs but they paid and also provided meals. They were mostly in the construction of buildings, agriculture and road building. They were to work alongside Shinobi. Honestly, for the first time, they saw Shinobi using their Jutsu in such ways. Who could have imagined that one day the Shinobi will be making roads?
The same was happening around the world right now, well, only in countries that were under Shiroken. Among the smaller nations, Shiroken’s people had slowly started to take over. River County, Stone Country, Sound Country, Rain Country and many more minor countries were taken over by Shiroken.
Everywhere large scale development was going on. The first priority was to connect all places with each other to promote trade. Poverty could not be eradicated in the blink of an eye, what could be done was to help those starving.
Shiroken did not worry about Iwagakure. They were alone now and were already given a peaceful offer to consider surrendering without any bloodshed. He gave them the example of Kumogakure, heck, even Raikage A sent a letter telling them it was worth it.
The reason? Well, Raikage A was very satisfied now. He didn’t have to worry about the village and just sat in the office or went fishing and hunting. The village was facing a good upturn in the economy, there were no beggars in the poorest parts of the village since all got work.
However, Iwagakure had not sent any reply yet and for this, Shiroken will be going there himself soon.
…
Dama City,
“I should return to Konoha, although the village is fine and running safely, I don’t want people to think that Hokage has left the village,” Tsunade told Shiroken.
In the past two months, they had fairly come closer to each other. Tsunade liked spending time around the city, trying to understand how it works, while sometimes spending time with Shiroken, who was usually busy most of the time.
“So soon? Nobody is really going to complain if you’re not there.” Shiroken said, sounding disappointed a bit.
“Well, you’re doing your job, and I feel useless since I’m not doing anything. You are changing the world, and I am wasting my time here doing nothing.” She said in a self-loathing voice.
Shiroken patted her shoulder, “Hey, aren’t you an amazing medical ninja? Why don’t you meet the experts of Dama Country? We are highly developed when it comes to medical technology. We have come up with ways that do not require a Shinobi to use Chakra. These ways can also be learnt by normal people.
“And, with your help, I believe we can achieve even a higher level of efficiency and new ways of treating people.”
Tsunade chuckled, “Why do I feel that you just want me to stay around here?”
Shiroken, shamelessly grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer, looking into her eyes, “And what if that’s the truth?”
Sure enough, Shiroken had mastered the art of flirting by now and knew what worked on Tsunade. She blushed and looked away, “I will work then. I wonder how good your people are. Why don’t you show me the place?”
“Hahahaha… fine, come with me.” He laughed seeing her face and took her to the royal hospital.
When they arrived there, they saw a lot of big machines being used to help people. Tsunade didn’t even understand that this was a hospital. Since the most technology they had in Konoha were the many heart rate and blood pressure monitors, other than that, they used healing jutsu and techniques.
“How was all this made?” She inquired.
“Well, Nidama Clan may have super strength, but they are still not Shinobi. They can not use medical ninjutsu. Hence, they had to find other ways to better their medical technology. I helped them attain many medical scrolls, they tried to understand them and replicate their effects without using any chakra. The result is this, in front of your eyes.” He explained.
“And what if there is a disease that is incurable?” she inquired.
He grinned and widened his arms, “That’s where I come in. Every week, I make dozens of clones and send them to every single clinic in this country, the people with incurable diseases come there on select days and get healed by me. But our researchers still try to find more cures for diseases that are considered incurable. Like cancer. Oh, how did Hashirama die? he was the last person I thought would die from getting sick.”
Tsunade had no idea, she remembered the past and said, “All I knew was that he suddenly started becoming extremely weak and ill, in a single year he went from looking young and full of life to an old withered man. The best of medical ninjas told us that Grandpa was not able to create any more special regenerative cells in his body like before, and finally, the body is taking the toll of all the fights he had fought.”
Shiroken scoffed, “Huh, impossible. He had Senjutsu, there is no way he could die for this reason. Just look at yourself, you are related to him and look so fine even after being 50. I think he was probably killed by the Zetsu, after all, Hashirama was one of the only few who were strong enough to stop Madara and stop the tailed beasts.”
Shock struck, she wondered, “So… he was murdered?”
“Possibly. But there is no way of making sure of that. Okay, this is where you will be working, but you need to first learn about everything we already know. Are you up for that?” He asked her smugly.
There was a fire in Tsunade’s eyes. Medical ninjutsu was what she was very good at, getting better at that would make her much more important. Honestly, right now, she felt very overwhelmed by Shiroken. He was a god among men, even if he moves a finger the world changes, while she was an insignificant ant.
She didn’t want to feel that way. “I am ready and fired up. Show me where are the books?”
And that’s it, the moment she saw the library full of countless books, her shoulders fell. “T-This… are you sure?”
He mocked, “What? Already accepting defeat? These are the books written in the past decades. You need to cram all that in. Take my advice, learn Shadow Clones Jutsu. With your chakra reserves, you can finish this library in a week with a few clones.”
Tsunade smirked, “I already know that jutsu and I was already planning for that. Then it’s time for you to wait outside. I won’t be coming out unless I’m done.”
Shiroken patted her head and left, “I will send food every once in a while. All the best.”
…
Done with this, he headed out. But, in his way he saw Haku, playing with the boy Shiroken had once saved but he was still in a paralysed state. ~Hmm… wait, isn’t he supposed to be from Konoha? Kakashi and Obito couldn’t recognise him, nor Minato. Tsunade is pretty old, maybe she can.~
He went to them, “Haku, where is Zabuza?”
“I don’t know. I beat him in a fight last month, he’s been missing ever since.” Haku innocently replied. He had grown up into a fine man, but he looked like a girl at the same time, if not for his short hair, all would think he’s a girl.
Hearing this, Shiroken closed his eyes and looked at the entire area in a 300 kilometres radius. Soon he smiled ~Haha, so he’s training to get stronger and beat Haku again. Truly, they are like father and son.~
“Don’t stop training, Haku. See you later.” Shiroken patted his and the paralysed boy’s head and left to see the progress of his new computer factory and the data-transfer network he had asked the researchers to develop.
…
The company, CargoLight, was already up and running. It was not hard to set up, all they needed to do was to have a large number of warehouses around the world, with many horse carriages and drivers who could work as delivery agents.
That was it, as soon as they launched their services, they started receiving orders from big shops and traders. For now, this was all they could do as they were still working on the Data-network for computers. The common people needed to visit the company office if they wanted to order something right now.
However, the computer factory was already up and running, making cheap affordable computers. For each shop that registered with the CargoLight logistics network, they would get an 80% discount on the purchase of a computer. They were all told that they should buy the computer and learn to use it if they want to do business more efficiently.
Slowly, the business started booming. CargoLight only took a small amount of money for the service and a small amount for the delivery. But the best part was the employment it generated.
The world was truly changing with each passing day. And all this change was coming from one single country, which was once a small country famous for tea. But now, it was the richest and strongest nation on the earth.
