Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 158
Just when Shiroken had announced that he took over the Lightning country, and Iwa found out about it, Han was put into prison, in fear that the beast inside him might rebel. They also feared Han going Roshi’s way.
Han was a powerful shinobi, enough to be recognised worldwide for his prowess with the steam ninjutsu due to his efforts during the wars. He was a lively and direct person, often seen as rather amicable and friendly.
Kokuo was a quiet and reserved individual. Though she does not speak much. Kokuō uses rather old-fashioned words when talking and when referring to herself. She also has pride as a tailed beast, being dismayed at being controlled and being used
Then Han tried to speak to her after more than 30 years of being together, “What is your name?”
Kokuo replied, “This is Kokuo Dama.”
Han, was taken aback, “You have a family name? Same as Lord Dama of the Dama Country?”
“Yes, we are a family. Shiroken is like a son to us. Is this so surprising to you humans? My siblings and Shiroken have been alive since even before there were any of your villages or countries.» She said.
Had chuckled, “Now that I have heard your voice, I don’t think I was right about you. All that I have been taught since my childhood was all a lie. You neither sound like a mindless beast nor behave like a destroyer of villages. I am sorry, that because of me, you are stuck here.”
He was being dried of blood from his body to make him so weak that he couldn’t even lift his hand since he was a huge, strong and muscular man, not easy to restrain. Onoki feared the beasts too much for some reason.
Kokuo sympathised with the man, “Child, you did nothing wrong. The fault lies in the village. I have seen you since you were a child. You stayed loyal to the village even after all the hate, bullying and beating you got. You never got a single friend in this life, yet stayed such a good cheerful man. But, now, they have betrayed you,”
Han sighed, “I know. I hate this village. I was only loyal to the people, but even they have abandoned me it seems. I know what Onoki will do now, Lady Kokuo. He will kill me, and with that, you.”
“I am immortal. He may kill you and even the current me, but I am made of chakra, and chakra never dies. I will be revived by nature soon. I can help you escape if you need it. Head to the Dama country. Shiro would have loved to befriend you.” She offered him.
Han silently thought about it, but in the end shook his head, “No, I don’t have anything worth living for. I want to die here… the same place I was born in this miserable world. But… I want the village to change. Will Lord Dama come here?”
“If they kill me, yes, he will… and he will be very angry,” Kokuo replied.
“Then, can you not save me? I know, by saying this I am asking you to allow yourself to die but… I wish for Onoki’s demise and the eradication of this village. It was supposed to be a place of hope and prosperity, but all it was able to do is become a place for Onoki to practice his totalitarian ideologies. Calling for national pride while hurting the people. The people, like fools, stay silent as long as they are not the ones suffering.
“With the place called Iwagakure gone, it can either be built anew or be forgotten in history.” He requested from her.
Kokuo silently thought about it. This was not the first time she would be dying. Many times, in the past, when she and her siblings were tiny and young, they were caught, tortured and killed. Each time they would revive with more disregard and hate towards humanity.
It will probably take her around a year to revive herself. But, she pitied the little kid. Jinchurikis were no different from tailed beasts. They were bullied and hated by the village that dreamt of using them for their own safety.
She was honestly surprised and shocked how the village and its leaders can even imagine that after all that they make their Jinchuriki go through he will still fight for them.
But, here she was, seeing Han being slowly killed. She agreed, “The village will probably become history. But if this is your last wish, then fine.”
…
Present, Dama City,
Tsunade was shocked and tried to follow Shiroken. She had no idea what caused this sudden change in his attitude, he was being so kind to her not long ago.
When she arrived outside, she saw the tailed beasts also coming towards the Palace in a hurry. She asked them, “What happened, Saints?”
“Iwagakure… someone killed Kokuo… the five tails.” Gyuki angrily revealed.
Monari and Jin heard this as well and they too became angry to no limit. Despite having the strength to easily take over the world and bring everyone under their rule. They had the power to keep everyone in fear, in line and obey. Yet, they were against dictatorship. They wanted free will to exist, they wanted people to form their own destiny while making smart decisions to not do something so stupid.
Yet, the only worst mistake they could make, they did now. To kill a Bijuu was to kill a parent for Shiroken. And Kokuo was a respectful and calm lady, a kind mother to Shiroken. And every man should know, kids love their mothers a lot.
“Saint Chomei, take us to Iwagakure with you as quickly as possible. We can’t leave Shiro alone there.” Monari shouted.
Gyuki and Kurama nodded and told Chomei the same, “Yes, go with her, Chomei.”
Chomei nodded and immediately flew off with Monari and Jin with him. These two people were Shiroken’s first and oldest friends after all. Tsunade was left alone since they had no idea what side of Shiroken they would see today.
…
Iwagakure,
*WEEEEE WOOOOO WEEEE WOOOO*
Emergency sirens were at work, people were running around. Kurotsuchi had forcefully taken over the command of the village. She had arrested the elders for colluding with her grandfather and ordered an evacuation of the village.
They were all told to leave immediately if they wanted to survive. Initially, the reaction was slow, but as soon as even the major powerful Shinobi and clans started to evacuate like someone was on their tails, the people followed.
It was not told to them who will be coming. But people did feel a sense of doom looming over them now.
In a hurry, they picked up whatever they considered the most valuable and ran out. Only with a bit of cash and everything else they owned left behind. In just 20 minutes, from a human to an animal, all had evacuated. The animals, for some reason, instinctively knew where to head to escape.
*BOOM*
A loud sonic boom resounded in the sky and a lone figure appeared, white hair and white-clothed, it stood out in the dark cloudy sky.
Seeing this, Kurotsuchi cried. “That mad man… he did it… He killed Han.”
…
Shiroken expressionlessly looked at the big village. It was built from much of the surrounding rock and stone, shaped into tower-like structures that are interconnected by a network of bridges.
The village itself gave a sense of poverty and stone-age living. But currently, it all looked empty with the only wind howling through the narrow spaces between buildings made of rock.
Soon, one small figure flew into the air, it was Tsuchikage, looking completely opposite of Shiroken as he was in visible anger and frown. He proudly stopped in front of Shiroken spoke, “I was waiting for you, Shiroken Dama. The Raikage may have been cowardly enough to submit to you, but I won’t. That dumb woman, Tsunade has fallen for you I heard, such bad luck for Konoha. You took advantage of Suna and Kiri’s internal condition. But here, you shall meet the same fate as your pet beast g… kak… gha…”
Onoki’s words stopped as he suddenly found Shiroken’s palm holding his jaw itself, with his fingers extending inside his mouth.
*BAM*
“AAAAARGH… HHA HAA…” Onoki screamed at the top of his lungs in agony and pain. His entire lower jaw was torn off along with his windpipe and now it rested in Shiroken’s hand. Blood oozed out of him like a fountain.
He tried to do something, but he found none of his Jutsus working. He wasn’t even focusing on flying anymore yet his body was in the air.
Shiroken though didn’t speak even now. Instead, he pushed Onoki’s jaw and windpipe again onto his body and healed him with his other hand. In a matter of a minute, Onoki was once again as good as before.
“YOU ARE NO LESS THAN A BEAST… YOU FREA… AAAAARGH!”
Once again Onoki went through the same trauma as before. And again, Shiroken didn’t speak and coldly looked at him. He moved as if he was just tearing apart a paper.
Then a minute later, he put the jaw and the windpipe again on Onoki and healed him.
This time Onoki waited for a second, then started barking again. “FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN IF YOU WA… AAAAAAA…”
And yet again, Onoki learnt nothing from his ordeal, as this time even his lungs were nearly pulled out of his throat. He screamed with crazed agony, his eyes reddened and blood came out of every single hole in his body.
The people were far away, but they could see what was happening in the sky. Most felt confused and hid their children, some wondered what did Onoki do to deserve this. Meanwhile, all the animals were silently sleeping on the ground as if nothing had happened. Why? Because they received their command from Nature itself.
Onoki by now had gotten the message that if he speaks, he gets ripped apart. So, when Shiroken put him together again, he stayed silent.
For a whole minute, silence ensued. Then Shiroken moved as if he had made a decision. He raised his right hand in the air and immediately a huge white ball of chaotic energy started forming. It slowly became bigger and bigger with no end in sight.
Onoki, who saw this, felt shaken, but still muttered in his arrogance, “I do not fear death.”
*BAM*
Shiroken’s left hand clamped on Onoki’s head and caught him like he was a lifeless doll. Then he pulled his body to stay on his side and forced him to look towards the village below them.
Onoki realised it… a bit too late. And this was not what he wanted. He wanted to die right now by Shiroken’s hands and light the spirit of Iwa’s people to rebel.
Yet, he found himself unable to die no matter what, since the demonic man in front of him would heal him completely like an angel. He cried finally, “NO… NOT THE VILLAGE!”
However, Shiroken’s Shirodama kept on getting bigger and bigger, eclipsing even the largest mountain nearby. The people far away on the ground prayed to end this god’s wrath and let them live.
“KILL ME… JUST ME… LEAVE THE VILLAGE! PLEASE… I WILL DO ANYTHING…” Onoki screamed again. The destruction of the village was the only thing he could not face since his whole fight was to save it in the first place.
But Shiroken only took a short cold glance at him. His red sparkling eyes made it clear that there was no mercy in his heart today. He replied, “Then bring my mother back.”
Onoki gasped and had no way to answer this. Shiroken simply stopped looking at him and launched the massive white ball of energy at Iwagakure, the village hidden by rocks.
Fear was what every heart felt, as today, even these strongest rocks shall melt.
