Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 160
Shiroken… he was upset. It didn’t matter if Kokuo can be revived, the fact that she died in the first place was attributed to his failure. His promise that he won’t let anything happen to them again was broken.
And being disappointed in oneself was one of the things that were the hardest to wash away. Now, everywhere he looked around in the city, all the statues and the posters of the bijuu reminded him of his failure. And the best thing he could do now was to make sure he did not fail his other tasks.
As soon as all the Nations were taken over by Shiroken, a new World Union was formed, an organisation that removes all the borders between the countries and their heads becomes mere representatives of their regions.
Even all these heads were Shiroken’s people. The Daimyos who were allowed to keep their position were not given any official positions, and their status was not hereditary. Meaning, they were waiting for them to just die.
From World Union, new laws were passed. Murder of any kind was criminalised unless it was sanctioned by the state itself. Slavery was abolished, use of child labour was criminalised with up to 50 years in prison. Even the minimum jail time was 10 years with no bail. Punishment for crimes such as ****, be it done to a man, woman or child, was death. It was in law that in these crimes a Yamanaka Clan’s Jutsu user will read the mind of the criminal to ascertain if they did it.
Punishment for crimes against humanity, crimes of betraying mankind were stipulated. Slandering against or trying to harm the Saint Beasts was a crime. Shiroken could be criticised, however.
But, Shiroken didn’t take any public office. He remained on the sidelines, controlling everything. He was being much more bullish now against any kind of criminals.
Punishments for Shinobi were much more strict, as they were supposed to be keepers of peace and justice with their superhuman powers. The social hierarchy was removed, all men, women and intelligent beings were equal to one other.
…
6 Months Later,
Time passed by as it would. Things changed for the better of the world. For now, no serious conflicts had started. Tsunade was back in Konoha, and now Shiroken rarely contacted her.
He could not bring himself to just keep on living and laughing when Kokuo was missing, because of his lack of seriousness. Now, he won’t think about his own happiness until and unless he has done everything he wanted to.
He was planning to head to the moon now, as advised by Hagoromo. The threat of the Otsutsuki was still looming over the world after all. For now, only strong people like Tsunade, Jiraiya, A, Bee, Minato, Itachi, Kakashi, Shisui and others were told about this imminent threat.
They were training for the inevitable at the same time.
…
“Yes, I will be back in a day at max. I will first have to see what kind of civilization they have created. If they are mad folks, then they shall get an appropriate reply.” Shiroken told the beasts.
“We should come with you. Who knows what kind of place it is.” Saiken worriedly said.
“Don’t worry, you are all connected to me. You can talk to me at any moment. And I won’t go nice on anyone now. They will get what they deserve with no time wasted.” Shiroken assured them stoically.
There was no denying that he was not the same Shiroken anymore. He was much more calculative and serious now. The Bijuu didn’t like this. They wanted their Shiro back.
Once he was gone, they all talked about what to do. Shukaku, showing a rare sign of calmness, spoke, “If he stays like this I’m gonna get depressed. It feels as if the world has lost all the colours.”
“True, he even stopped talking to Tsunade much. We need to do something to cheer him up.” Gyuki said.
Chomei cried, “He doesn’t even praise me when I sing my songs to him now.”
“And he doesn’t drink much milk either. Why do I even run my farm now?” Saiken was equally sad.
“Calm down, you all. Give him some time. Kokuo will return soon, once that happens we can be sure that he will return to his old self. Let’s just help him right now in making the kind of world he wants.” Matatabu smartly suggested.
“Right, let’s do what Matatabi said.” Kurama agreed.
…
Konoha,
Tsunade was worried about Shiroken. Not just as someone who liked him romantically but also as a friend. He had changed completely since the day Onoki showed his stupidity. The fool was dead but left behind so many problems for all.
She on many occasions tried to talk to him but he just gave her a cold shoulder. He would only talk about official work-related things and ignored everything else.
It frustrated her, but she could understand it. After doing so much for the world, the world owed him a lot. Yet, people didn’t realise where their loyalty should lie.
So, to make sure the world knows whom to thank when their lives have become better, she launched a worldwide scaled propaganda programme. It was simple, they created a lot of movies, theatre acts and songs about Shiroken’s work and the good tailed beasts. She made sure to show the lives of the Bijuu, facing a lot of problems in their lives, being betrayed and eventually finding love with a child entering their small family.
Everyone should know the history and who was to thank for everything. She was doing this on her own accord, after all, if she says she likes him, then she should also worry about his well being.
“I wonder what he is doing right now.” She muttered, looking at the night moon.
…
Shiroken directly flew towards the moon without caring for the lack of gravity, oxygen or anything. He wasn’t human anyway. It took him a while to reach the place even with his fast speed.
When he arrived there, all he found was a bare land of fine dust. There was no sense of distance here as it lacked an atmosphere and any structure to compare distance. One moment you’d think it was land but the next, you’d find yourself in a crater.
Thankfully, he could fly and with his Nature Sense, he could see in all directions for 300 kilometres, that included inside the moon. The moon’s radius was 1700 kilometres anyway so he could indeed look pretty deep.
“Hmm, so they have created a world inside the moon it seems. Strange and beautiful. He immediately dug a hole and entered with no care. The moon was nature as well and nature was his domain.
When he arrived inside, he was treated by a world that looked the same as earth. There was sunlight, greenery, oceans and rivers. It was beautiful. However, Shiroken’s target was deeper inside the moon.
At the core of the Moon was the Tenseigan, the power source of the light in this habitat. He continued to dig deeper until he arrived at the location. However, he found out that the artificial sun at the centre of the Moon was actually a barrier.
*BOOM*
Shiroken punched it, a hole appeared but it also started to heal immediately. Though it was enough for Shiroken to enter. Once inside, he found a giant castle.
He could feel it was the source of the energy. But before that, an army of puppets attacked him. ~Such weak means. Did they plan to stop the Otsutsuki with this?~
He immediately disconnected all the Chakra threads used to control these puppets and they instantly fell like the lifeless things they were. Without stopping, he proceeded deeper and into the castle.
Soon he found a man, the first and only sign of life. White-skinned as himself, with the eyes of the Hyuga clan. But those eyes didn’t seem to be calm at all.
“WHO ARE YOU?” The man asked.
Shiroken introduced himself, “I am Shiroken Dama, son of the 9 Bijuu.”
“Son of Bijuu? Lies, they are beasts, they can’t have children.” He argued.
Shiroken rolled his eyes, “Of course, not biologically. They took me in centuries ago. I presume you are a descendant of the Otsutsuki clan? Particularly Hamura Otsutsuki?”
The man seemed shocked that someone knew this, “Yes, who might you be? Otsutsuki? You look like us.”
Shiroken nodded, “My origin is somewhat related to the Otsutsuki clan, but I have been living on Earth for centuries now. Hagoromo’s astral form contacted me and told me about this place. He asked me to take the Tenseigan, to get stronger and defeat the main Otsutsuki clan that shall be coming here soon.”
“So you are from Earth? You are one of them then. You might be related to the Otsutsuki clan, but you have forgotten the roots. I am tasked with destroying the Earth by ramming the moon onto it. This is for weaponising Chakra and not following our ancestor’s path.” The man raged.
Shiroken sighed, yet one more fool appeared. He asked, “So you want to destroy the planet my dear family lives on? Do you want to kill them? Fine, tell me your name.”
“I am Toneri Otsutsuki… why?” Toneri asked back.
*WOOSH*
Shiroken appeared just beside Toneri and grabbed him hard by his hair, “I should at the least know the name of the person I’m about to kill.”
