Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 175
Dealing with the two Otsutsuki was super easy, barely an inconvenience. What it did was provide him with enough buff to deal with all Otsutsuki at this level.
After dealing with them and reaffirming his resolve, he returned to the planet. Kaguya eyed him with fear, knowing clearly that for Shiroken, killing her was as much of an effort as breathing.
“SHIROOO…” The chubby big Bijuus came out of the seal in worry.
“I’m fine, everyone. They couldn’t even hurt me one bit. All their strategies are pointless and useless against me, as their attacks have no effect on me.” He assured them.
Hearing this, Kaguya’s heart panicked, ~He’s… he’s like a total opposite of an Otsutsuki, a being made to kill the Otsutsuki.~
Shiroken glanced at Kaguya, “So, what will you do? Do you want to fight me? Or live?”
Only a fool would say anything else, “I want to live.”
“Then you are to never use any of your powers again on anyone, not mentally, not physically. You can use them to help yourself in your daily tasks, but never inflict it on someone else, especially my family, which includes the Bijuu.” He put forward the only condition he had for her, as there was no point in asking her to not be evil. If she wants to, she will go evil no matter what.
“I accept.” She replied, not that there was any other choice.
“Then welcome to the world of the living. However, you might want to first interact with the world of the dead, as the soul of your son, Hagoromo, is still lingering in some middle dimensions.” Shiroken told her and moved to talk to the Bijuu and Monari.
Kaguya was shocked that her son was still alive, just not physically. She closed her eyes and tried to sense all the nearby dimensions. But, it became easier when the other person also tried to talk.
Soon enough, Kaguya found herself face to face with her son, who looked even older than herself.
“Mother,” Hagoromo greeted her.
“You look old,” She blurted.
“It’s a privilege to those who didn’t try enslaving the living world,” Hagoromo replied sarcastically.
Kaguya scoffed and spoke in a raging voice, “I was doing it to save ourselves. You must have seen the power of Momoshiki. I knew he would be coming to this world, that’s why I was scared. I wanted to protect you and then rule this world, but you… you gave them the knowledge to harness Chakra.”
“Because I saw them as living, breathing people, not mindless puppets. The truth is, you were never able to get over your god complex. Your way of life as an Otsutsuki got the better of you. Accept it now, you failed and you were wrong. Shiroken, a being with Otsutsuki blood, stands where you stood, but he is countless times better.” Hagoromo didn’t mind speaking back to her.
Kaguya silently stared at him, “You never loved your mother?”
“Of course I did, I and Hamura both did. But you allowed us to live among humans, make friends with them, and play with them. How did you expect us to just allow them to be turned into that abomination White Zetsu? Truly, Shiroken said it right, due to the overwhelming strength of Otsutsuki, they neglected the use of their brains to make tactics and plans.” Hagoromo said.
“Are you calling your mother dumb? Mind that tongue of yours, Hagoromo.” She angrily voiced.
Hagoromo scoffed, “What? Are you going to kill me? Please, I’m already dead. The best you can do is mess up and join me here.”
Kaguya was dumbstruck by his attitude. Before, when he was alive, he used to fear her, but now, he was speaking unrestrictively. “What happened? Where did you forget all your manners?”
“I have my manners just fine, it’s you with whom I do not feel worth using them on. You have lost all my respect, mother. If you really ever loved me and Hamura, then prove to me that you are worthy of our respect without being a genocidal monster.” Hagoromo was showing a pretty poisoned tongue today.
Kaguya sighed and silently retreated from this weird place back into her mind.
…
“Are you sure about her? Won’t she someday just wake up and go mad, wanting to kill everyone?” Kurama asked him.
Shiroken looked back at Kaguya, “I don’t know. But I will construct a seal for her, she has to allow me to put on her body if she wants to live among us.”
“Oh, she’s looking at us. She’s scary.” Chomei muttered, hiding behind Kurama.
Shiroken chuckled, “Don’t worry, I will deal with her. You all go back to the city and end the lockdown. Tell the elders of the Uzumaki clan to gather in my office.”
He walked back to Kaguya and ordered her, “Follow me.”
Kaguya silently walked behind him and arrived inside the city. She was surprised to see the huge city, this was a really strange sight to her as in her time there were no such structures.
“What do you want?” She asked.
“Conditions. If you want to live among us, I need the guarantee that you will not wake up one day and kill someone dear to me. You will have seals on your body which shall allow me to suppress your powers forever.” He revealed.
“I will not… You don’t have anything to fear.” She argued.
“Then you too don’t have anything to fear, right? I am not suppressing your powers permanently, instead, I will always be aware whenever you’re about to use them, and based on your intentions, I will either allow or not allow you.” He countered.
“Why do you fear me so much?” She asked him.
Shiroken stopped and looked at her face, “Look around you, does anybody have a third eye? Can all of them fly or destroy the planet with a snap of their finger? Even I look out of the ordinary, and it took them centuries to finally start loving me like their own.
Your looks are deceiving, behind that pretty face, I don’t know what’s there. And I don’t trust people whom I don’t understand. Maybe one day you can make me confident enough and I will allow you to go free, until then, your freedom comes with a few terms and conditions applied.”
…
Inside the Palace, Shiroken asked the seal experts about what to place on her. In the end, they came up with the seal that depends on his own power. That as long as he stays more powerful than Kaguya, the seal will be in his control.
Later, he had to put it on her, for this, he provided her with an empty room to take off her clothes. After that, Shiroken drew the seal on her body and activated it with his thumb and blood imprint on her belly.
“This is humiliating.” She angrily registered her displeasure.
“This is necessary. I already have the one I like, no need to feel awkward here. You’re not my type.” Shiroken jokingly said and left her in the room alone. She just wore her clothes back and sat there.
~Here I was making plans for taking over the world… for it all to be useless.~ She thought. She had no aim in life now, her motivation was to stop Momoshiki, but the man was just a snack for the monster she had just met.
“I wonder what the future holds for me.” She thought and sighed aimlessly.
Kaguya got up and headed outside. She saw that nobody was trying to stop her from going anywhere. Shocked, she tried to roam around, see how the world changed in so many years.
She soon arrived in the courtyard and saw a young little boy sitting, eating something as he hummed one of Chomei’s record-selling songs. “Ummm hmmm hmm… Ah, Saiken’s chocolate is the best,”
“Ah…” Suddenly he noticed the tall white-faced lady with three eyes.
His eyes shined, “WOAH! That third eye is so cool.”
Amused, Kaguya asked, “Who are you?”
“I am Shirajin. And you? Are you related to Uncle Shiro?” He inquired.
She shrugged, “Who knows. And you may call me Lady Kaguya.”
“Well, aunt Kaguya, here, taste this.” Shirajin, disregarding her previous words, handed her half of the chocolate and skipped away.
Kaguya was dumbstruck, as no one ever behaved like this with her, let alone a child. She then amusedly looked at the dark brown thing in her hand, it gave a sweet aroma. “Interesting,” She took a bite.
(*_*)
Her eyes appeared starry, as she appreciated the taste, “This… is so sweet… so smooth… IT IS… HEAVENLY!”
