Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 177
[A/N: I noticed some confused readers. So basically, Magnus is the MC of my Harry Potter: Blood of the dragon fic. This is a crossover where they are meeting in a dream.]
Silence ensued among the two and they kept on staring at each other. Eventually, Shiroken spoke, “You’re dreaming as well?”
The boy named Magnus nodded, “You too? Strange. Which country are you from?”
Shiroken answered honestly, “Dama Country, what about you?”
Magnus had questions all over his face, “Hmm, never heard of it. I am from the United Kingdom.”
“I’ve never heard about that name either, and it’s strange as I rule my entire world,” Shiroken answered with more questions in his mind now.
Magnus had an idea, “You say a few more names of the countries and I would do the same, if none of them sounded familiar to one another then we’d know we’re not on the same dirtball.”
“Earth Country,”
“France,”
“Lightning Country,”
“Germany,”
“Fire Country,”
“Brazil,”
“Fuck, we’re from different planets.” Magnus cursed suddenly.
Shiroken nodded silently, having the same observation. “So, where is this place?”
“I don’t know. I was sleeping and found myself here. I don’t know if this is my real physical body or just a mental image. Anyway, any idea why we’re meeting each other? What do you do?” Magnus asked him.
“I am a centuries-old man, made of Natural Energy. My adopted parents are giant intelligent beasts who were seen as mindless monsters but turned out to be sweet. I have destroyed the borders between the countries, made the world one, stopped the discrimination between normal people and those who could use Chakra. Now I am planning to destroy the alien species that go to different planets to plant seeds of a tree that sucks out all the life from the planet, so they can get fruit at the end which makes them really strong.” Shiroken summarised what he did and what his aim was.
At this, Magnus’ mouth was wide open, “Wh-what? Really? That’s crazy, man. You are already so strong this means. Well, my story is somewhat like yours. In my world, there are people we call wizards, possibly just like your chakra users. We have special powers.
“Now, my world is really divided, there are wizard terrorists, wizard families that think they are pure and most supreme. There are countries with weapons that can destroy the world. While I inherited the will and blood of a 1000-year-old wizard who is said to be the strongest and also a thousand-year-old human king.
“I am still just 16, I am trying to bring peace and prosperity to the entire world. I don’t know about the space though. Are there aliens, who knows?”
“So we’re both trying to sort out the mess that the world is? It seems our meeting was not random.” Shiroken deduced but had no idea who did it. He was tilting towards believing whomever God was.
“I’m afraid we are similar in ways. Are you a dictator?” Magnus inquired from him.
“I don’t know. I am not the governing person, there is still a government with elected people. I only meddle when I know something is happening wrong. I am called the Elder.” Shiroken said.
Magnus sighed, “Well, you’re probably lucky, you have absolute strength. I am not that strong yet, and my official designation is that of a king. And let me tell you, people hate the monarchy in my world. Yet, I am trying my best. Maybe… maybe people in the future will call me a tyrant or whatnot, destroy my memorial statues and paintings, paint them black or something, but all I care about is that I am able to help people, uplift them from poverty, save kids who are starving.
“From what I can see, Electricity, Water, Healthcare, Education and Roads, as long as any country has plenty of this, they can be successful. But sadly, corruption is an epidemic in my world, and to fight it, I sometimes use deadly means. Does that make me a tyrant?”
Shiroken replied, telling his experience, “Honestly, I’ve killed people too, those who sit in public offices take a salary from tax money and yet commit corruption, these people are traitors to humanity,”
Magnus was taken aback by how similar their views were, “You are one of the only people who have been able to understand me like this. What do you think about society? How should it be? An open and free, where people can do anything, or one with restrictive freedom?”
“Nobody is ever free,” Shiroken started, “Freedom is a hoax, an illusion. If you were free, you would not die. Death is your ultimate shackle, whatever else there is just an excuse.
“I believe in a society that knows what it should and should not do. A society that fears punishment, so much that they fear ever committing a crime. The people should not take what they have for granted, or else, they will become unthankful and start doing crazy things, coming up with problems that never existed.” Shiroken told him his theory.
Magnus felt like he gained some knowledge, “True, currently, all the support I have exists on the fact that I and my family are full of geniuses and we work for the better of the world and the people. The day something bad happens to me will be the day all this support will turn against me. I need to make sure people know who is the one feeding them, so they don’t bite the hand that feeds.”
“That’s a good idea. You should focus on making sure people follow the right ideology. This may sound like something that a tyrant would do, but it’s necessary.” Shiroken affirmed his idea.
*Yawn*
“Well, Shiroken. It was nice meeting you. I don’t know if you are a construct of my mind or a real being. I hope you find love and a loving family.” Magnus wished him well.
“I have already, her name is Tsunade. I don’t know about parents, but I have really great adoptive parents and friends. Here, I have a photo of them” Shiroken replied, gratefulness clear in his voice.
Magnus looked and fawned over them, “They all look so cute. Who is this?”
“That’s Saiken, he runs a big milk farm.” Shiroken happily introduced all of them.
Magnus chuckled, “Nice, they look lovely. Even I found love, her name is Emma, she’s a bit crazy but understands me very well. I also have a biological family that loves me a lot. Oh, you want to see the picture? Here,”
Magnus took out his small money pouch and showed him an entire family photo, “This is my mum, dad, my three little siblings, this is my step-brother and best friend, Ragnar. And this one is my friend’s photo. This is Severus and this one is Emma.”
Shiroken felt a bit jealous seeing the family, but wished him, “They look kind and happy. You are lucky to have such a family. I… don’t even know whose DNA was used in making me.”
Magnus felt bad for this guy, “Shiroken, family is where you feel loved. What’s in the past? You see this boy, Ragnar? His entire family was murdered when he was young, he was taken in by some old man, then my parents took him in a few years ago. Now, he loves my mum and dad so much that he’d destroy the world for them.”
“Haha… he does look a bit crazy.” Shiroken chuckled, as many faces flashed in front of his eyes. All the Bijuu, Monari, Jin, Shirajin and Tsunade… yes, he had a family. What was in the blood anyway?
“I feel like I will be waking up soon. I hope you are successful in defeating those aliens and bringing peace around the world, Shiroken Dama.” Magnus wished him luck and extended the hand to shake it.
“And I hope you grow stronger and are able to bring peace and equality to the world.” Shiroken reciprocated and shook the hand.
*BAM*
As soon as they touched, the world blacked out and everything disappeared.
…
“AH… WHAT WAS THAT? Such a strange dream. Was it even real?” Shiroken wondered and looked around. Tsunade was still sleeping, there was a hue of morning light in the window.
~This is why I hate sleeping.~ he muttered and decided to not sleep again anytime soon.
He got out and headed to see the situation around the city. As always, the morning activities were at their peak. Saiken was transporting the big milk tankers to the port, more cargo carriages were running around, stocking up various shops and stalls.
“Good morning, Lord Dama, here, today’s newspaper.” An old man handed him a newspaper as soon as he walked into the main market street. But when he tried to look at the old man, there was nobody.
Shiroken read the papers, but he didn’t recognise the name of the paper, “Hmm? Who published this? Daily Prophet?”
After 15 minutes, he had finished reading it and smiled widely, ~*Sigh* So it was not a dream. Good luck, kid.~
