Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 187
It had been a week since Shiroken had returned, the Dama City was full of people as the announcement that Shiroken will be marrying Tsunade was made.
People were expecting to remain in the city until the eventful day. However, inside the Dama City Palace, the planning for the wedding was being done.
They could not hold the wedding in front of all the people, it needed to be held inside the Palace, and there was a limit to how many people could stay inside at one point. So they needed to plan.
Monari had a list in her hand, as she was coordinating the whole marriage event, “So… Saint Saiken will take care of all the food and the cake. Saint Isobu and Saint Son Goku will also help. Saint Kurama and Saint Shukaku are responsible for the construction of large shelters for the people to gather under. Saint Chomei will help with transporting the materials. Saint Gyuki will be the overall manager of all of you. Saint Kokuo and Saint Matatabi are responsible for the security of the City.”
“Aye Aye…” Chomei accepted the task happily.
Then, she turned to look at the girls, Rin, Izumi and Konan. “You all are responsible for selecting and helping Tsunade choose a dress and also wear it on the day. While the boys, Itachi, Shisui, Obito, Naruto and Kakashi, you take care of Shiroken’s clothes.”
“Hey, I can handle my own clothes.” Shiroken protested.
She looked him dead in the eye, “Really? If that’s the case then tell me how many pairs of clothes do you own?”
“Ummm… two,” Shiroken answered.
“TWO! In all these centuries, just two. You misuse your powers and clean your clothes every day. You should buy more stuff.” She suggested to him seriously.
Shiroken wanted to say something but stopped after seeing everyone else was nodding at her. ~But… that’s a waste of money.~ he thought.
“Shirajin, you will be the ring bearer. And… Tsunade… whom do you want at the wedding as your parents?” Monari asked.
Well, Tsunade’s family and the clan died, she only had her little brother. “I-I don’t have anyone like that.”
“NO PROBLEM!” Saiken started, “We Bijuu will be parents of both, Shiroken and Tsunade.”
Tsunade gave them an appreciative nod, “Thank you,”
“Good, everyone, quick quick, head out and get to work. We only have one week to do all the preparations for the wedding.” Monari clapped and sent everyone away.
Shiroken, although didn’t like this huge wedding, let it happen as it made others happy. Leaving everything aside, he went to his room, sat down on the bed and closed his eyes.
He tried to look at the entire world. All beings were under his eyes, be it under the surface or above. He could see the core of the planet as well. He saw the lives of the people, how he had changed them. He made sure they were not facing any problems and no injustice was happening.
He did see a few criminals, they all suddenly suffocated and died right there, only for a tree to grow out of their bodies after that. After a little time, he saw shops around the world. Not many people travelled to these shops anymore, as there was the service of online shopping.
Now, a majority of the households in the world have computers in their homes. They all used it to buy items from stores all around the world. Due to the CargoLight company using portals, the shipping charges were negligible.
Other than this, entertainment had become a major industry. It was understandable, now that the world had been in peace for so long, people had found more ways to use their talents, more ways to spend their time instead of training.
“Hehe, they made so many movies about me?” he saw the movies, it was a series, starting from his childhood and then growing older. All his battles and deeds were shown in them. There have been 3 parts so far, more are under production.
There were also cartoons about the Bijuu, in which the Bijuu taught little kids maths and other subjects. There were plushie toys of Bijuu in every child’s home in the world by now. The world truly loved Bijuu.
Heck, there were tourist companies that sold a package called “Bijuu Tour” It basically brought people to the Dama city and allowed them to see the Bijuu living their lives.
Although the standard of living of the world had gone up significantly, Dama City was still the envy of many for various reasons. The major one was that Shiroken lived there. The other was that the Bijuu lived there.
After watching all this, Shiroken decided to have a look at the political circle. The borders had been removed, there were no countries anymore, hence the World Council was really diverse.
The old Kages though had retired. Like how Mei was happy with Jiraiya, Raikage was happy with fishing, Bee had started his own music company with Chomei as the second shareholder. Gaara had also settled down, he had a girlfriend now, whom he loved a lot as she believed in non-violence.
“My work is complete, it seems,” Shiroken muttered to himself. The social revolution he had started had already been successful. Now, there were no class or country divides. People married anyone they wanted. People with Chakra married normal people, creating babies with Chakra.
He was truly happy with what he had accomplished. “It only took me 7 Years to achieve. Truly, if Madara and Hashirama had used their absolute powers correctly, they could have done the same.”
For the next few hours, he silently observed the world.
…
The day of the wedding came at last. The entire world was celebrating one way or another. Although Shiroken was not a publicly known leader, he was still seen as a heavenly figure, despite attempts to stop them from doing this.
Shiroken walked into the hall set up by Shukaku and Kurama. It was beautiful, with flowers everywhere. He was wearing traditional clothes, black in colour with some patterns.
“Where is Tsunade?” He asked.
“Control, Shiro, control. She will be here soon. It takes more time for women to get ready.” Monari said in a teasing voice.
The venue was full, a lot of people were there, more than a thousand most probably. On both these sides of the simple stage where the ceremony would take place, the Bijuu stood. Each of them had a bowtie on their collars.
He found them really cute and called the photographer to take a picture. Chomei, however, was mumbling something, probably some song. Saiken was looking at the people working at the catering hall.
“Although I find this much crowd annoying, I can’t deny, this is pretty wholesome.” He said to Shisui.
“Haha, you get used to it slowly,” Shisui said, being experienced as he was married.
All of a sudden claps started resounding in the hall.
“Here she comes.” Shiroken turned to look in the aisle. Tsunade too wore traditional clothes with a head covering. She slowly gracefully walked toward him, her face had a wide smile and eyes staring at him.
He went forward and took her hand, “You look beautiful.”
“And you look handsome,” she replied.
They felt like kissing each other right then and ending this, but so much money was spent on all this, it’d be a waste. He helped her walk with him and stand beside the small podium. They looked around for the priest, however, there was none.
*Cough* “I will be the priest.” Chomei slowly hovered and landed behind the podium. Now Shiroken understood what he was reading. He nodded, Chomei deserved this, he was the first dad.
“Okay, please hold each other’s hand,” Chomei instructed loudly.
Then he started speaking, though it sounded like a small rap. “The Groom, Shiroken Dama and the Bride, Tsunade. We all have gathered here, because to us, these two are very dear. The beautiful joining of two souls shall be witnessed by us all, photos will be taken for all to recall, this date, The Lover’s Day we shall call.
“Shiroken Dama, do you promise to love and support Tsunade when she’s in need?”
Shiroken, for the first time, heard such vows, but he entertained, “Yes, I promise that.”
Chomei then addressed Tsunade, “Tsunade, do you promise to love and support Shiro when he’s in need?”
She nodded, “Absolutely,”
“Do you two promise to love us little Bijuu forever?” Chomei sneaked in this one.
Shiroken and Tsunade were so busy looking into each other’s eyes that they just said yes, “I DO!”
“Wait…” Shiroken looked at Chomei, who was giggling. He softly smiled, “You don’t need to ask that, it’s a fact. I will always love my dear family.”
“Oki… let’s continue. Shiroken Dama and Tsunade, please exchange the rings.” Chomei proceeded.
Quickly, Shirajin came running, everyone was looking at him so he had flushed cheeks. “Uncle, aunt, here.”
Tsunade patted his head and took the ring. Next, they put it on each other’s fingers. With that, Chomei ended the ceremony, “With this, I announce Shiroken and Tsunade, husband and wife. Please kiss each other now.”
Well, that was not needed, both of them had already proceeded to hold each other. It was a deep short kiss, intoxicating as well. Tsunade whispered in his ear, “I can’t wait for the night.”
He chuckled, “Dear, I hope you’ve increased your stamina because I’m not stopping for days.”
“Please look here for the photograph.” Rakumatsu, the old man who was taking photographs for fun, spoke up. Shiroken and Tsunade released each other and turned towards the camera with a smile while holding hands.
However, Shiroken’s smile was ruined by Shirajin’s loud demand, “UNCLE SHIRO! GIVE ME A THOUSAND COUSINS TO PLAY NOW!”
*SNAP*
And the photo was taken.
[A/N: Merry Christmas everyone.]
