Naruto: Child of Chakra - Chapter 188
After the marriage ceremony, the entire city got to eat food made by Saiken. The good chubby boy tried to make things other than cakes or milk related for the first time. So, whoever he saw, he’d ask how’s the food.
There were dance parties going around, and light gambling was also there. A lot of fun competitions, like ramen eating and dumpling eating competitions were also held. There was a lot more to do than just eating and talking.
Big movie viewings were held, which showed all the latest movies free of charge. In the whole celebration, about 3 Billion Ryo were spent, but it was fine as most businesses made money from it, boosting the economy.
Shiroken also roamed around, talking to random people. There was one shop that caught his interest, it was a medical shop, specialising in fragrances.
“Kid, what’s your best seller?” Shiroken asked.
“Welcome, Lord Dama, I am Kabuto Yakushi, it’s a pleasure to meet you. And the best seller is our rose and lemon scents. Though newlyweds prefer roses with a hint of cocoa scent.” The strange boy said.
“Hmm, then pack it. You did well finding a new job and stopping on that destructive path following Orochimaru.” Shiroken praised him, shocking him that his past was already known.
“Really, nothing can stay hidden from you, Lord Dama,” Kabuto said and packed the order.
Shiroken left the shop after talking. He knew about Kabuto for a while now and ignored him because he was trying to correct his life. For those who actually tried to better themselves, he had respect.
…
Night came, the city was still as vibrant as day. But Shiroken and Tsunade had retreated to their rooms.
They remained in the bed, holding each other. “Where did you get this scent? I like it.”
“Just some guy. Anyway, how do you feel, Tsunade Dama? Hmm, you know, the surname feels a bit weird to me. It’s too short.” Shiroken complained.
“Nonsense, do you know how much weight that name has? Everyone in the world knows it.” She argued.
“Well, that’s because of what I did. Anyway, let me lock the door. I told you to prepare yourself.” He flirted.
“Hehe… Let’s see how long you can go on.” She reciprocated.
Poor Tsunade, there was a night and day difference between Shiroken from before and now. She regretted challenging him soon enough.
…
3 Days Later,
“I gotta go, I need to work.” Tsunade tried to slide off the bed.
“Oh really? I’m sure the others can handle it. You did say you wanted to test me. I’m not done with being tested, my love. Now come here.” Shiroken pulled her back.
…
1 week later,
“So, do you accept defeat?” He asked as she was pinned under him.
Her face flushed red, she nodded, “You… You cheated, using your natural energy to keep me energised.”
“Hehe, that’s a plus point of being my wife, dear.” He said and pecked her forehead. He then rolled over to the side, letting her hug his body and rest her head on his shoulder.
“The whole week was amazing,” She finally accepted.
“Likewise. I enjoyed you… A lot.” He teased her.
“People are gonna joke about us outside.” She predicted. Especially Monari.
“Let them, I will make fun of them in return. By the way, I will be staying here for an entire year, then I’ll head back to space to kill all the remaining Otsutsuki.”
“This time it’ll be much faster as I will go alone.” He told her.
“I don’t want you to leave, but I don’t have exclusive rights over you. This world deserves you as much as me. I can only hope that you do it quicker.” She sounded sorrowful and snuggled on his chest.
He sighed and silently planned for the future.
…
With great powers come greater responsibilities. Shiroken had no idea what he was made up of. How he was made or what was his limit. But, with his great powers, it was also his great responsibility to do everything in his power to save the world.
After a whole year of love and warmth of family, he had to leave to fulfil his greater role.
“Don’t worry, I will return soon. My targets are much weaker now, it’s like an elephant and a micro-organism fighting. I can destroy them with one hand,” he assured them and headed out.
“BYE-BYE… TAKE CARE!” The Bijuu shouted, waving their little (read big) hands.
Tsunade silently looked at his leaving figure, she wanted to shout at him to stop him, but couldn’t bring herself to do that. All she could do was hope that the bad feeling she was having was false.
…
The universe was vast beyond one could fathom. He seemed like a phantom, with the universe being nature itself, and he being the manipulator of it.
It didn’t take him too long to find and kill another patriarch. With each kill, he also gets stronger and better at finding them. He absorbed all the militarist Otsutsukis as well.
The knowledge about fighting kept increasing in his mind. But when he reached absolute strength, nothing really mattered. All techniques failed against him.
“Any last words?” He asked yet another Patriarch, as he clutches his forehead in his hands.
“Y-You… For how long will you hunt us? Our thirst for Chakra Fruit is limitless. If not me, someone else will pursue it.” The pale-faced Otsutsuki said.
“For as long as I can,” Shiroken replies and squashed the forehead like a watermelon.
With a tired expressionless face, he flew away, moving on to the next space sector while leaving behind a clone of his own for micromanaging this sector that he just took over.
One after another, he killed countless of them. Each Patriarch, however, would say the same thing, “You can not stop us, it’s our biology.” Shiroken would ignore them and kill them.
However, every once in a while, when he’d be travelling from one target to another, his mind would think about a world where he does not exist, what will happen there? Won’t the Otsutsuki always rule? It’s impossible for normal humans to fight them.
Even in this universe, if he were to die somehow, what was stopping these Otsutsuki from once again enforcing their will on the weak? Their biology did make them stronger than all, and it was the nature of any sentient species to be greedy and power-hungry. Where there is no one to stop, what’s stopping a murderer or a robber from committing a crime?
Well, he hoped that the answer would come to him as he gets stronger, gaining a deeper understanding of the Natural Energy that was spread around the entire Universe.
“How many of these cockroaches are there?” Shiroken wondered after he killed the 1000th Otsutsuki Patriarch. But, he could also understand, as they had been alive and ruling for more than ten thousand years.
He stopped on a random planet that was being used as a slave colony by this particular sect of Otsutsuki. These ones had strange eyes that allowed them to control the minds of those not of their blood. With these eyes, they subjugated the trillions of beings in their sector and enslaved them.
They made them do harsh labour while also making them breed like rabbits. All so that they can shift half of the population to another planet to continue the cycle, while those left behind get turned into Chakra Fruit.
Seeing the impoverished condition of the planet, all these blue-skinned human-like beings looked like normal humans to him, his loved ones or Tsunade could be one of these if he didn’t stop these monsters.
So, he got to work, he killed all the Otsutsukis in the entire sector that could fight, then he killed the Patriarch. However, when he reached the next sector, he found things were worse, people were being forced to breed while being locked inside cages. Entire planets were turned into breeding farms, from here, billions get transferred to planets with God Trees each day, then these people are sacrificed to be made into Chakra Fruits.
A single planet was holding trillions of beings, couples were locked inside metal cages of 2 X 2 metres. They were forced to breed if they wanted food, and the moment the female would give birth, the baby would be taken away. What was even more sickening was that there was 1 man to 1000 women.
Once again, he killed all the adult Otsutsuki in this sector. This time, after killing the Patriarch, he stopped to rest a little. When eating food, he was visited by Hagoromo’s manifestation.
“So, you can travel the universe?” Shiroken asked him tiredly. It wasn’t his body that was tired, it was his mind.
Hagoromo looked at him in sympathy, “My realm is small and mysterious, it is connected to all places. Son, go home, you look like you will blow up anytime soon. Look at your eyes, they are shining like bulbs. You look like a demon.”
“I can’t, look at these real demons, old man. They are worse than animals. At least an animal kills what it eats, but these, so blinded in their race to power that they have lost all senses of morality. I must destroy all of them.” Shiroken replied, a hint of anger and frustration clear in his voice.
Seen by Hagoromo, he argued, “And can you ever be sure that you got all of them? The Universe is ever-expanding, you have no way of knowing how many Patriarchs there are. It has already been a whole year since you started and the more you travel the more Otsutsuki you find.”
“When will this ever end? By the time you finish, all your loved ones will be dead, even with their long lifespans. So don’t be blinded by your hate. What you should do is slowly expand outwards, taking over the entire Universe.”
Shiroken silently thought about this choice, and to some extent, he agreed, “Yes, but how long will that take? How many more innocents will die? How many of them are waiting for someone’s help? My powers go beyond any being in the Universe can imagine, if I don’t become the helping hand of these suppressed souls, who will?”
“But what will it cost? Your loved ones? Your own sanity?” Hagoromo asked him.
Shiroken once again fell silent. This time for much longer. One thing was sure, by the pace he was going, he can’t clear out the entire Universe himself. So, after a long discussion with himself in his mind and remembering a few words from the past, he firmly decided something.
He got up and headed out, “Old man, I know what I must do now. Peace demands sacrifices, everything has a cost. It’s the law of equivalent exchange. If the universe is so full of hatred, then love and warmth needs to take its place, as the Universe is a container that can’t be left empty. I shall return home now, to meet my dear family, because I have made my final decision.”
Hagoromo was confused by what decision he made, but from what Shiroken said and how he sounded, he could come up with a few guesses… and they were not positive ones.
[A/N: It’s coming to an end. I’ll be honest, I’m not really satisfied with what the fic became near the end. MC became too OP. Nothing was challenging. But I try to end whatever I start, so here it is. I am decently satisfied with the ending I have planned though.]
