Necromancer Supreme System - Chapter 53
When the skeletons showed up again, they were totally different than what she expected. First, there were four sword skeletons, making her have five of them now, two skeleton archers, two skeleton magicians, and lastly two skeletons with shield and short swords in hand, making them perfect defenders.
She just smiled, content, as now she had her own little army upgraded by a whole scale, in quality.
‘So, upgrading skeletons didn’t just end up in being sword skeletons,” she muttered to her system, which just replied, ‘I never said that.’
She just chuckled, as this was the perfect scenario for her.
“Let’s go guys, we need to look for higher leveled monsters,” she said to her skeletons, as she moved in the front leading them, looking for level thirteen monsters.
She didn’t need to look for long, as she found an advanced version of ape monsters, with some gears with them. seeing them made her eyes shine, as most of her skeletons didn’t have weapons or any kind of gears.
“Great, we can now farm for weapons guys, go and kill them all,” she said, pointing to a group of twenty advanced apes. As her army of skeletons attacked, she examined the general stats of these monsters.
“Advanced apes: Level thirteen monsters. HP 14602000”
“Oh great, I can kill them easily,” she muttered, but she noticed then her unarmed skeletons were now getting destroyed frequently, so she had to step in, using her arrow of darkness skill and trying to add more damage as possible.
At the end of the fight, she gained twenty new skeletons, but she lost ten in exchange for that. in theory that might be a losing game for her, but in return for that, she had got more weapons and gears from the fallen monsters, which were enough to arm twenty more skeletons; so it was a good deal for her.
She knew she was replacing the old army with the new one, and that might seem unwise, but there wasn’t any urgent matter for her to do, so she decided to do it.

Oya kept farming for her skeletons until she managed to replace all of them, but the quest she had was halfway through. She had many fights where many of her skeletons would be destroyed, so she had to start over with new skeletons, though the backbone of her army never changed, as the eleven special skeletons were the main force she used, and she didn’t, luckily, lose a single one of them.
Just as she was sitting on the side, resting until all the monsters she killed were respawn, she heard a loud roar coming from a place not far from here. she felt some threat coming from that direction, so she decided no to go and check it out.
She knew at some games, when you keep killing certain types of monsters, one high leveled one might pop up, and that one would be much more powerful than the usual monsters.
Oya sat down there enjoying the sightseeing until she felt the tremor on the ground behind her. She stood up fast, and jumped from her place, where a strange shaped thorn was thrown at her, from a huge monster that seemed pretty pissed off.
“Oh, it’s an elite monster then,” she muttered, as the info of that monster popped up in front of her.
‘Elite Ape: Level fifteen. Hp: 1000010000’
It had a thick blood, ten thousand HP, that was the highest monster she fought so far. She knew this fight couldn’t be evaded, as this monster seemed to be here just for her. She wasn’t that stressed, either, as she had a strong army on her side, but she knew she couldn’t get out of it without losing part of her skeletons, special ones included.
“That’s not nice, game,” she muttered, as she pointed her staff towards the monster as she said:
“Go and kill it.”
She didn’t stand still, watching on the side as usual, as she pointed her staff towards the monster while muttering:
“Thorn of darkness.”
“Arrows of darkness.”
The two skills were activated at once, and the monster was immediately surrounded by the vines, and was attacked by the arrows. The monster couldn’t move for two seconds, and during these seconds, many attacks landed on it.
“15-20-10-15-20-10-5-2-15-5”
The line of damage appearing on top of it was really embarrassing. She knew this was due to the level difference between her and that monster, but it pained her nonetheless to see this low digit damage.
She had nothing in hand to do, but to try her best and not let her skeletons die early, so she kept retreating, drawing the battle for a long distance, as she had no other choice.
“It’s a battle of attrition, let’s see who will win it at the end,” she muttered as she moved couple of steps back, while waving her staff towards the monster and muttering:
“Thorn of darkness… front attackers retreat, distant attackers keep hitting this monster.”
She kept using her thorn of darkness once its cooldown was reset, and she used this opportunity to retreat. Her skeletons were like a sea of bones, surrounding that monster and attacking it. However, the monster had a huge sword in hand, and each wave of it, one skeleton would fall, either destroyed completely or severely wounded.
From time to time, that monster might summon a long thorn that could attack distant enemies like Oya and her annoying archers. After five minutes of fighting, that monster lost half of its HP, and she lost half of her army, losing three special skeletons, two swordsmen and one archer.
That was a pained loss for her, but she had no other option here. if she died, she was sure to lose all these skeletons, and start over. She took the task of killing this monster as personal vendetta, at least when she killed it, she might summon a stronger skeleton, or even an advanced one.
She didn’t lose her concentration along the way, but when the monster HP declined from the fifty percent mark, another problem emerged, as it started calling other ape monsters around her, and that put her in a more dangerous situation.
She had to divert part of her army to stand against these new monsters, and she started aiding her skeletons from the side. She made her thorn of darkness for the monster, and the arrows for the other apes, and with this danger, another opportunity came.
“Death arises.”
She could now use this skill to summon more skeletons to attack the elite monster, or the other apes. When she directed these newly summoned skeletons to the elite monster, they just kept dying like eggs hitting a rock, so she made them attack other apes.
This way, she could maintain a portion of them, and they kept evolving on the way. So, she now had two fronts to deal with, two big battles, one with the elite monster, and the other with other apes.
Anytime she had an advanced skeleton, she didn’t hesitate to throw it to the elite monster, which was now unstoppable, dealing more damage than it received once its HP declined lower than twenty five percent.
“A berserk state, huh!”
