Necromancer Supreme System - Chapter 61
The mere scene of Ibro by her eyes was really stressful on her, as she had a deep feeling being reignited. The moment she heard him speak of her like this, his emotions, everything made her lose control finally and start crying.
She loved him, very dearly was loving him, and she would still love him her entire life to come. The hardest moment for her was when he confessed his love to her, his decision to grant her more than what she asked for, and for that logning look in his eyes, the loneliness he was feeling out there without her.
She wanted to go and be with him right now, right away, without anything to stop between them anymore, but she knew that wasn’t going to happen, not now, not in the near future.
That was why she broke down into this state, and it took a long time before she could regain control over herself again.
The moment she did, she found Salsola was looking in extreme worry towards her. She understood what was happening, as she muttered:
“Salsola?”
“Finally, finally you are yourself again,” Salsola said, as she hugged her, before saying, “if you want to talk about it then do, if you don’t want, then don’t, I won’t ask you about it ever again,” she added, as the memory of her slight improve before relapse was fresh in her mind.
“Again?!” Oya just muttered, as it seemed she had made Salsola go through much already, “don’t worry, I’m now fine,” she added.
“Sure?” Salsola asked, as she held her shoulders firmly with her hands, while observing her with her eyes like a doctor.
“I’m fine, don’t worry,” Oya said, as she moved from the ground, where everywhere was covered with the bodies of dead monsters. She realized she was gone for a long time already, and her army of skeletons kept killing everything around her.
The first thing she did was to examine her level, she was at level nineteen, just one level away from reaching twenty! She hurriedly added the attribute points, then she went to check on the area around her, trying to find her skeletons.
There, on the far horizon, a very tiny white dot was there, moving slowly, but it was moving. The night was about to fall, so she sent invitation to Salsola as she said:
“Sorry for that, let’s go.”
Salsola chuckled when she received the invitation. During her try to wake her up, Oya leveled up twice in front of her, without doing anything, without even being aware of that!
She then went with Oya towards the far distance, while the latter was summoning a grand army of skeletons, rising from the dead bodies of monsters.
“By the way, the pros will be here tomorrow morning, first light,” Salsola suddenly said, “do you want to return to the city now?” she asked.
Oya looked at the time, it was night already, and monsters would go berserk at night. She had nothing to be afraid of, but she wanted to have some rest, so she looked to her skeletons as she ordered:
“You stay here and fight anything that moves, don’t leave this spot.”
Salsola looked in wonder to her, then to the skeletons, when she saw them nod to Oya, approving her orders. ‘Can they communicate together then? They aren’t those dumb skeletons summoned by necromancers,’ she thought to herself.
“Let’s go back,” Oya said as she took out a scroll, tore it, to vanish in five seconds, returning to the city again.
Salsola followed suit, and when the two appeared at the main square of the city, she asked:
“Are you going to leave your skeletons back there?”
“Yes, they will continue killing monsters for us, so we can level up all night,” Oya replied, before she looked towards the city as she said:
“You should take a stroll and get familiar with things here, and I will go to my personal warehouse and store some stuff there,” she was lying, as she didn’t have anything to store, but she had something else to sort out away from the keen eyes of her friend here.
“Oh, ok, see you later then,” Salsola said, as she knew Oya was lying. She left her to be alone, as she knew she must have a hard emotional blow from before, and she might need some time alone to sort things out.
Oya then went towards the warehouse, but she didn’t enter. she just stood in her place, as she had a serious conversation with the system right now.
‘System, where is Ibro?’
‘He is away from here, but as you can see he is safe and sound, right?’
Oya couldn’t refute that, as Ibro seemed quite good and healthy, but she wasn’t satisfied with this reply, as she asked again:
‘I just want to know where he is?’
‘He isn’t anyplace you know or anywhere you can reach, so why do you want to know? Isn’t knowing he is fine and alive enough for you?’
The system words were right again, and this time she felt that the place Ibro was at really was very far from here, so she just accepted this fact, he was alive and safe for now, but away from her reach, temporarily.
‘He said he will come back here, will he?’ she suddenly asked.
‘He will, and he has to do this, as this place holds the whole secret of everything,’ the system reply was decisive and vague at the same time, but she knew she couldn’t get anything more from the system, if the system didn’t want her to know.
‘Then tell me, what I gained from his approval,’ she asked, after taking a deep breath, calming out her disturbed thoughts.
‘you gained the ability to kill fiends, the absorption powers Ibro had inherited a long time ago, during his previous life. plus, he was so generous enough to give you one of his recent abilities, the rune maker class,’ the system said.
‘What are these two?’ Oya didn’t understand anything related to these two abilities. If not for her chance to see and meet Ibro, she would ask about that absorption ability from the start.
“Each NPC here in this game, or at any game world has a demon egg inside him or her body. This is done by the demon clan to ensure they could control the game properly, as a measurement against Ibro. However he had broken free from their shackles, finally, and so this plan had failed.
However, when he returns, he won’t have much time to waste on liberating all NPCs, and the NPCs here are the final key that he needs to end this ancient war. So, you have to go out, roam all the worlds, and free all the NPCs before his coming.’
The system explained it, but she found herself hearing new terms like demons, fiends, clans, and ancient wars. What she understood, though, was that Ibro was coming back here, and he would need all the NPCs to be freed or else he would be in much trouble.
‘So you want me to work on any NPC and free him or her?’ she asked.
‘Yes, basically, but this would be tricky, as the demon clan already observes this game, so you have to make some preparations first.’
‘Such as?’ she asked.
‘A protective shield, a shield to stop any spying eyes to see anything you do. So, the first target you have to free will be a magician, a grand magician in the city,’ the system said, ‘like the one walking in front of you right now,’ the system suddenly added, while Oya glanced at the person walking across the street, in front of her.
She was a middle aged lady, but her face and figure seemed quite younger. If not for her old fashioned clothes, some wrinkles around her neck, Oya would have mistaken her for being so young.
‘Is she the one?’ she asked, not considering anything.
‘Yes,’ the system replied.
‘Good, I will start with her.’
Oya then walked following this NPC, stalking her along the streets of the city. The lady didn’t bother for this player following her for a while, but after randomly wandering the city, that player was still following her, without showing any signs of stopping or giving up.
The NPC stopped, turned around and faced Oya inside a dirty alley, where no one was there.
“You know for a player you have some guts following me around like this,” she said, with an aggressive tone.
“I just want to offer a service to you,” Oya suddenly said, vaguely, with a confident tone, without any signs of hesitation or fear.
“You? Helping me? are you in your sane self or you have some suicidal wish?” the NPC asked, sarcastically.
“If you want to know everything, and I strongly advise you to, then please use your shielding skill, and let’s talk away from the real stalker eyes.”
“Really? Are there more other than you?” the grand magician asked, while watching Oya in amusement.
