Negai o Kanaete Moraou to Akuma o Shōkan Shitakedo, Kawaikattanode Kekkonshimashita ~ Akuma no Nīdzuma - CH 91
Idea and Helvi were joined by Inessa, so they could begin Helvi’s inspection of the rooms.
Both women prepared their best rooms to show Helvi, and the winner…
“Fufu, you truly have a discerning eye, miss Helvi.”
“M-miss Helvi, why…!?”
Was Idea.
Idea was elated, and Inessa had despair in her face and looked as though she was about to drop to her knees.
“I’m sorry Inessa. You did not lose by a large margin, but having one or two beds makes all the difference.”
Both rooms were beautiful, luxurious, and spacious. They were mostly equal in quality, but the big difference was the bed.
Idea prepared a room with only one bed, which was big enough to comfortably fit four people.
Inessa on the other hand, prepared a room with two beds.
The size would not be much different if they pushed the beds together, but having one large bed was perfect for Theo and Helvi.
“W-we can still change the bed!”
“How unsightly of you Inessa. Admit defeat.”
Idea prepared a room with one bed after seeing Theo and Helvi. She decided they would certainly prefer one big bed, and hurried to change it.
Inessa also figured one bed would be ideal, but her fondness for Helvi got the better of her, and she left the room as it was.
This decision gave Idea the big victory.
“It is your fault for not being able to prepare the best room from the start! Fufu, I beg your pardon!”
“Kuh…! I wanted to repay mister Theo and miss Helvi…!”
Idea laughed elegantly with her hand close to her mouth, while a frustrated Inessa glared at her.
Inessa was taller than Idea, meaning the winner was being looked down at.
“I also like the room you prepared for us Inessa. We will spend a few days in Idea’s inn, but I also want to stay in yours.”
“R-really!?”
“Yes, so make sure to bring in a large bed.”
“Of course! I will send out for one much more marvelous than Idea’s!”
“I look forward to it.”
“Y-yes!”
Helvi’s words changed Inessa’s expression to a very happy smile.
“Fufu, you are too kind, miss Helvi.”
“I simply think Inessa’s is also nice. Theo also wants to try both.”
“I see. The most important thing is that you two enjoy yourselves.”
Inessa definitely wanted them to stay in her room, but Idea felt it was less important than Helvi and Theo having a good time, and would have been fine with them not picking hers.
If Inessa’s room truly was better, she would graciously back down. Ironically, this was actually the main reason why she was able to prepare a better room.
After this matter was settled, they chatted for a while until Theo returned.
“I’m sorry to keep you waiting!”
“Mister Theo, did you manage to speak with the head chef?”
“Yes! I learned a lot!”
Theo went to the head chef to ask him about cooking.
It was a very enlightening experience for Theo, who up until this point only had experience with home cooking and boxed lunches.
A chef who cooked almost exclusively for nobles used completely different ingredients as well, but everything Theo was taught were things he could replicate.
This was a very positive experience for Theo, as far as his cooking skills were concerned.
“I want to put what I learned to use by cooking for you Helvi!”
“I can hardly wait, Theo.”
Helvi and Theo smiled at each other, creating an atmosphere in which no one could interfere.
“Oh, I almost forgot, Theo. I have decided in which room we will be staying.”
“Ah, really? Which one?”
“This one.”
Helvi opened the door in front of her, and entered with Theo.
Theo was astonished by the luxurious room in front of him.
“Uwah…!! Wow, incredible…!”
Even a regular noble would not be able to stay in a room like this, only important nobles such as Inessa and Idea or royalty.
“I am proud to say this room is unparalleled even here in the capital.”
“Can we really stay in a room like this!?”
“Yes. Use it to your heart’s content.”
“T-thank you!”
Theo looked around the room with a sparkle in his eyes.
Everywhere he looked was beautiful, with gorgeous decorations.
It was beautiful to the point where it could be said it made it hard to relax.
Theo looked around and enjoyed himself like a child would, or perhaps acted his age.
“I am very pleased to see you like it, mister Theo.”
“So am I.”
The three women looked on while thinking Theo’s excitement was charming.
“We will be excusing ourselves now.”
“Yes, thank you. It seems this is going to be a very enjoyable trip thanks to you.”
“That is very good to hear. Do you have plans for tomorrow?”
“Yes. I want to look around the capital too.”
“Then I will prepare our finest carriage for you!”
Inessa said before Idea had the chance to propose it.
“I see, we will be going to town on a carriage. Can we leave that to you?”
“Yes!”
“Miss Helvi, if you say you are going to town on a carriage, does that mean…”
Idea asked with slight concern.
“Yes, Theo and I will be walking around town alone tomorrow. I want to try something known as ‘window shopping’.
