Negai o Kanaete Moraou to Akuma o Shōkan Shitakedo, Kawaikattanode Kekkonshimashita ~ Akuma no Nīdzuma - CH 97
Afterwards, Helvi and Theo finished off their meal with some fruit that was brought to them.
“That was great, wasn’t it Helvi?”
“Yes, no wonder Inessa recommended it.”
They decided to go thank Inessa later, even though Helvi knew Inessa’s liking of her played a big part in it.
Still, she thought she should thank Inessa, since it was such a marvelous restaurant. There was some trouble near the end, but it was not her fault.
They drank black tea while offering each other their thoughts on the meal, before Helvi switched the subject, seemingly a little nervous.
“Theo, remember that store we went to earlier?”
“Earlier? Which one?”
“That one… Where we bought the wedding rings.”
“Ah… Y-yes.”
Buying wedding rings was not embarrassing in itself, but remembering the way Theo kept calling her cute after they exited the store was.
“L-let us put them on here. I have yours here.”
Helvi composed herself and took out the box where the rings sat.
She opened it to show Theo the rings, and his eyes sparkled.
“They’re so pretty…! Can I really have something so expensive?”
“Of course. And I have one as well, so we match.”
“Match…! That’s great!”
“Give me your hand.”
“Eh, ah, yes.”
“Fufu, remember Theo, it is the fourth finger of the left hand.”
“Ah, s-sorry.”
Theo put out his right hand without thinking, so he switched it to the left as his face became a little red.
Helvi grabbed his hand, and carefully inserted the ring on the fourth finger.
“There. Is the size alright?”
“Yes, it’s perfect.”
Theo pointed the ring at the light, and stared at its shining jewel.
“…Can you do the same for me?”
“Ah, yes!”
Theo took the box from Helvi, and took the ring out.
Helvi put out her hand, and Theo clumsily inserted the ring on her finger.
“H-how is it?”
“Mine is perfect as well. Thank you.”
“Great! Ah, put your left hand out and let’s show our rings together. They’re really pretty in the light!”
Theo placed his left hand in the middle of the table, and Helvi placed hers next to it.
Their very expensive rings shined as they were hit by the light.
“It’s great how we match.”
“Yes, it is.”
“I’m never taking mine off! I’m keeping it on forever!”
“Fufu, I will do the same.”
Both leaned on the table as they spoke, and their faces were close, but that was no longer enough to embarrass them.
They simply looked at each other and happily smiled.
