Negative -Girls: To Live And Die - Chapter 3
Yeah, no one seems to be convinced or interested in what Sohee said. She’s like a mother at a dinner table and the girls are rebellious daughters. If that’s the case, i’m the new stepfather to them.
I think the negative girls hate men in general–or hate the idea of someone taking their time, and make them study in this lack-of-personality room.
I can relate to that.
Sohee touches her forehead and grunts–in a cute way, “look here, like it or not, it’s a must for you four to introduce yourself to every new candidate tutor. We’re wasting Sunbae’s time now.”
Nah, just do your thing. I need time to calm myself now and process what happened in the past ten minutes.
“Sunbae?” Shizuka points out with a grin-like-a-devil, “are you two closer than we think?
Sohee blushes and takes a glance at me for a reaction (which I don’t have any) and glares at the grinning girl, “I meant your new tutor.”
Shizuka licks her bottom lips. I take back my former description. She looks like a mischievous succubus. Her lips unwrap, “Oh. Buuuuttt, I like to call him my Sunbae, too.”Spoken like a girl in the movies.
Sohee twitches, “but. That’s–” And it’s getting worse to her as Shizuka suggests.
“If you let me then I’ll consider talking.”
As in dilemma, Sohee rubs her wrist while looking at my jaw. “Perhaps, perhaps…” she mumbles. Is she giving me hint again? Don’t. I’d wrongly convey your looks again…for instance, I think you’re asking me to touch you.
She gave up with a sigh, “all right, fine. Just–”
“Then I’ll start,” Shizuka giggles, cutting Sohee. This girl never lets anyone finish their sentence. She stretches her hands up, making her short sleeve fall to expose her clean armpit. Her eyes wink at me, “so Sun-bae, like what you see in maybe-student?”
That gesture and line are not what anyone expects from an ‘introduction.’
Girl’s armpit? “It’s fine.” It’s gorgeous. Girls’ armpits are on my top ten list to worship.
The succubus chuckles and gives me a smug. It stomps my heart–must be the old user’s body reaction. In my past life I never into fendom…er I don’t think so. Can’t remember well.
“Hngg?” She notices my gaze, “you’re into me now, Sunbae?”
“He’s not,” mumbles Sohee, averting her eyes from everyone.
Shizuka either ignores it or her pointed ear fails to pick it up. “Well people tend to like something they vaguely know about. Anyway, Sunbae, what fetish do you have?”
Mouth.
Before I can utter Sohee sighs, “Shizuka…”
Hmm, my guess is rather than teasing me, Shizuka’s actually targeting Sohee. I mean Sohee makes it clear that she’s the only one who wants me here–for maybe personal reasons–and that’s what our succubus poking at.
Slowly her eyes catch me and a hint of disappointment appears in the brown, “You’re the boring tutor and I am your cute ignorant student. Does this scenario entice you?” and then with a whisper suggestingly, “your fetish?”
The taboo is bad…but hot, I guess. Yet again, Sohee doesn’t agree. “Shizuka keep it releva–”
“Anyway, Sunbae,” again Shizuka cuts Sohee off, “if you got past the recognition session, which I doubt you can, can you please treat Shizuka well. You would, wouldn’t you?” she gives me the ‘please give it to me’ face, “if you do, Shizuka here, will give you a pleaaasuring reward.”
God, those playful lips and smugs can’t be any better.
I press, playing her game, “what rewards exactly and describe how I can treat you well.”
I can tell by the sudden nudge that Sohee gives that she doesn’t like my question. But it has to be asked.
Shizuka put a finger on her lips, “isn’t it obvious, Sunbae? Of course a good reward any guy like you would imagine from me.”
This is a sex reference.
She shifts her ass slightly, “as for how, you can reduce any works you give me–especially maths, I don’t like it. My maths skills are just so average that I can only count my fingers right and not that any of those funny numbers with letters.”
She spreads her elastic hand.
Sohee rolls her pink eyes, “you’re not even average at it.”
Her comment returns with a smile from Shizuka. But it shifts to a serious one. Her playfulness stops.
She returns to her laptop, indicating her long introduction is finished.
When her clank starts I ask, “what are you working on?”
She doesn’t seem to be bothered and keeps her eye on the screen, “a prose.”
Okay, I don’t really care but, “what kind?” Who knows maybe she’s already working on a smut story about me and her. That’d be an interesting conversation to avert my shock.
Shizuka answers, “Idon.”
“What’s Idon?’
“idonewannatell.”
Yoo, that’s like, a joke.
Well, it appears she does feel bothered.
I let it end there. What a way to introduce herself. Very creative.
Sohee thanks Shizuka’s cooperation which never gets a reply and turns to the next person.
Mei’s shoulder jumps when Sohee turns to her. Under her brown hair, sweats roll down the side of her face. She’s still avoiding eye contact with me.
Her voice trembles, “Hello um, my n, name is Mei.”
I feel her eyes trying to look at me but something wouldn’t let her.
She continues, “Lu, Luis.”
Mei Luis, okay. As I look at her more a desire slowly develops within me. Have you ever wanted to hug a jumpy rabbit? That’s what I want to do to her right now.
Sohee smiles empathetically, “Mei, it’s okay. I know this is hard for you” Her face turns to me, “name is enough, right, Sunbae?”
I shrug, “of cours–”
“I–I can tell more,” Mei insists. Strong words for a weak voice.
Then for the first time, her emerald eyes land on me. If someone goesuges out those and sell them to the jewellery, no one would notice they were someone’s eyes.
She exhales, “I hop, hope I’m not bothering you as a stude…”
I don’t hear anything after that.
But it seems she’s finished and stops looking at me which she more comfortable with.
Is that it?
Sohee smiles, “we appreciated your courage, Mei. So ne–”
“She’s stuttering.” I interrupt her. I say it knowing the distance between the two couches is far enough to make a discreet conversation.
She looks at me carefully and says, “you know that’s because of you.”
I do? Stuttering because of a male…”She likes me?”
Her thighs nudge mine, “didn’t we talk about this yesterday? She has androphobia.”
So she haaates me then.
“How could this possibly work out?” How can a male tutor teach a girl with androphobia?
“It’s going to be fine.” She smiled weakly, “as long Sunbae is not invading her personal space, Sunbae can converse with her just fine…she’s getting better…” she looks proud, “though she’d still stutter as we can see.”
“Right.” So I can’t have a touch of that D cup? I must say, Mei does have the biggest in here.
Sohee moves onto the next person, the console girl.
“Carrie?” she calls.
The console girl keeps playing her games–a true gamer.
Sohee sighs for the n-th time, walks to her and pulls her earphones off by the wires.
Carrie shouts from behind the console, “What the fuck I was–”
Sohee tightens her voice, “you ARE in school so put down your game before I confiscate it again…a week this time.”
Carrie grunts and pulls down her console. As if it’s all my fault, her crimson eyes glare at me. It looks vicious. It looks tired. It looks beautiful.
Maybe that’s a contact lens. Like Sohee’s pink eyes and Mei’s emeralds. I don’t mind, it looks hella pretty.
Under her vicious eyes, her tiny lips mount. “I’m not letting you take my virginity.”
Sohee flushes as her body pulls up, “Tha, that’s not what he wants!”
I don’t?
Carrie hmphs, “well, if not what else should I tell that noobish face.”
Damn, she got that right. I never went higher than a gold rank in LOL. If that’s not a noob problem then I don’t know.
Sohee sits beside me back, having a headache. “haaa…just tell him your name and maybe a little about yourself then we’re done.”
Reluctantly Carrie says, as her bitchy face equips. “CarryYourAsh.”
“Real name, please,” Sohee says.
She rolls her eyes, “Carrie Alter. Love, video games. Hates, studying. Thus, you’re unlikeable to me.”
“Why noobish face,” I ask.
She thumbs over her nose, “I could easily tell someone if they’re noob or not. Your face tells me you can’t beat a bot in a one v one match.”
Some theory you have there, gamer girl. “What if I prove you’re wrong?”
Carrie frowns, “I’m never wrong.”
Sohee chimes in, “your answer sheet is mostly wrong.”
Her dragon’s eyes widen and her hands start to gesture about, “that’s different! Studies are like using your mind and stuff. Gaming is all about experience and skills, so both are not the same.”
She doesn’t score anything there.
“Are you trying to prove a point?” Sohee says with a sigh.
In her grunt, Carrie demands, “I have done everything you asked me. Now, give me back my earphones!”
Sohee tucks the earphones in her skirt’s pocket, “I’m afraid not. You’re going to listen to us not the game.
“But you promised!”
“I didn’t.”
Yeah, she didn’t promise her anything actually.
“Pshh,” she blows, “what are you two? My parents?”
This comment makes Sohee smile. She seems to like it.
“Okay so next we have Claire.”
Claire didn’t budge from her sleep.
Even though all the noise that has been around lately is often distracting, is she still sleeping?
Sohee repeats “Claire?”
“Shut up.”
That’s a whisper but loud enough for everyone.
‘Claire’s eyes peek from her silver silk and white arms amid her dishevelled silver. A black eye glares at the world with annoyance.
The atmosphere becomes uneasy, but Sohee continued regardless, “Claire, introduce yourself to Sunbae.”
It is a minute later before she replies, “sure.”
She shed from the table and stand up.
Woah, she’s tall! I think we could be the same height.
Those dark eyes look at me with apathy, and her dry lips move. “Claire.
“That’s enough isn’t it?”
I’d call that more of a command than a question.
“Yeah,” I say.
A black hoodie is pulled over her head, her hand tugging at the pocket, and she walks towards the door.
This isn’t winter, but that hoodie sure looks thick. I also see dirt around it.
Sohee stops her with a question, “where are you going?”
“Toilet. I did enough favours by coming so do me one, too.’
She closes the door with a bang.
Well, that’s something.
Carrie rubs her ear, “would she quit that, sheez. A girl shouldn’t close the door that violently. Talk about being a crime syndicate’s daughter.”
Sohee waves her hand dismally, “Carrie…it’s bad to talk behind someone. Also, that’s just a rumour.”
“I think not,” she replied slowly, “I’ve confirmed it with my own eyes yesterday.”
No one says anything. They all are thinking if one of their classmates is truly a daughter of a crime syndicate or not.
I break the topic, “Is she coming back?”
Instead of Soheee, Shizuka answers it playfully: “Oh, naive Sunbae. It was never her intention to go to the toilet. Let’s just say, the toilet is a figurative word in her diary. It means she’s fucking off from school.”
Sohee warns Shizuka about her choice of words as I think it’s time to go to the toilet, too.
