Negative -Girls: To Live And Die - Chapter 50
When I return to the god forsaken Pay and Play Cyber Cafe, none of the people there turns to look or greet me . At first, I thought I have finally become invisible and started my hentai-scenarios life. But it turns out, the girls are just busy. . . shooting .
” Welcome back. ” Fuck turns to look and greets at me.
No. I know what I said. Fuck isn’t what I consider ‘the people’, he’s fuck. Get it? Not trying to be mean but . . . yeah, I was trying to be mean. Fuck is just fun to insult you know?
Because he actually eats them.
After completely ignoring Fuck , I walk to the rows and start to give each of them a…what I say Sad Set: a ramen and soda. The first person I had to pass is Fatty.
I put the set on the side of her keyboard.
Fatty gasps seeing the ramen, leaving her hand completely off the mouse and keyboard (her hand flew by). They almost immediately try to tear it open, but she holds them up. ” Ah , hot water. ” Fatty says. She looks around and stares at the hot water dispenser on the corner of the room. But before she gets up from her seat, she smiles at me, ” Thank you. I don’t think you would actually do it.”
I smile back, “You’re welcome, I also think you’d be the only one who is going to react this grateful . ”
Fatty tilts her heavy head, ” What ? ”
“Don’t mind,” I assure her. She doesn’t have to know what I meant because she will see or herself.
Next, I give the set to Nerdy. Fatty eyes follow and she nods in understanding.
Nerdy eyes meet my hand and the little treat I left beside her table.
She sighs and stops clanking and clicking. Oh wow, this is actually big. I do have the power to stop gamers from gaming. Most people can’t do what I did you know?/Or maybe it was not me but the Sad Set I’ve made evident. If that so, they were only a cup of uncooked ramen and soda. What a depressing power they have here.
Nerdy gives a glance to the Sad Set and to me. Her neck leans forward, “Don’t tell me you think this is going to make us friends.”
“I…”
I thought this was going to make us best friends.
Nerdy groan looking at my face. She replies, ” So it’s like that. Because if it Is, then I’m sorry. I’m not interested.” She shoves the Sad Set away from her. She continues, ” Give this to someone else . ”
I shrug, ” then I wouldn’t say this is a gift for friendship. ” If she doesn’t like it that way I can stick to another story.
“So what? Charity?” She asks irritated. Girl do not like charity huh.
I reply, “Not so. Just a wish of good luck.”
“What do you mean?” She asks.
I clear my throat and points at the screen, “You guys will be having competition right?”
Nerdy fixes her rim as she glance at where I pointed at, , “Oh now I see it…
“If that so,” she continues, “then I would gladly take it. Just don’t think I owe you. I don’t owe you anything.”
“I know, all right.”
When I put Sad Set on her table, Sharp Eyes (as usual) glares at me. “What’s this?”
“Sad Set.”
“What?”
“You can see it, it’s a ramen and a soda.”
“Is this poison?”
“What? No.”
“Drugged?”
“I wouldn’t have any anyway.”
“…”
“…I really don’t.”
She rubs her chin as she looks at the set like trying to figure out some grandmaster chess player’s plan.
“I know,” she flicks her finger. “So this has expired.”
“You know what? Just do anything you want with it, I wouldn’t care anyway.”
And with that, I left the girl who thinks I tend to hold an act of revenge on her.
And finally to—
“I don’t want it.”
Carrie’s hands are still glued to gaming. Her keyboard press and mouse movement with clicks are what you could see in a pro-e-sport player. The Sad Set has failed to do its job. But let’s not blame anyone here. Carrie is an unmoving force of nature. No one could order her around. She orders people around her. Except for Sohee. Or anyone who could blackmail her. But still, Carrie is just ignorant.
“Take it anyway.”
I put the Sad Set beside her.
She doesn’t bat an eye at it.
On her monitor, I could see she’s winning the game with a score of 31[]4. I assume that’s the kill count for her team. Oh wow, they really are professional
shooter.
I stay with her until the Team YOLO Won appears.
Carrie twirls her seat to me, “why are you still here?”
“I–”
Her dragon’s eyes stunt me and she deals a quick attack, “don’t you have some other teenage girls to fuck with?”
I thumb over my shoulder, “fuck is not a teenage girl.”
Thumb: “Hey. Anyway, you didn’t buy a ramen for me?”
We ignore him.
Carrie rubs her forehead, “I don’t mean him and my grammar is not that confusing.”
“I know, you speak well.”
“What’s your problem? No, I mean, why are you still here. You didn’t come to drag me back to school. Or lectured me. You even encourage us to stay here with that,” she indicates the Sad Set, “if you thought this will make me to agree fucking you then please stay the fuck out of my life.”
I turn around and call out Fuck, “you heard her.”
“She doesn’t mean me she meant you.”
“Oh.” I know.
When I turn back, Carrie gives me a look of disgust, “are you actually a retard or something?”
“No, I was just messing around.”
“…”
“I’m sorry.”
She twirls back to her monitor, “get away. You don’t have to be here.”
“Well, I can’t.”
“Why?”
“I want to see if what’re you doing now is that important than my lesson.”
“If it is not?”
” I would drag you back to school for my lesson. ”
She snorts, “Is this how you convinced the school board to let you sit as a tutor? You would use violence? You’re a man anyhow.”
“…no. I wouldn’t use any violence. But I will bring you one way or another.”
“I would like to see you try. Get away.”
Well, she is not very cooperative, isn’t she?
I wonder if there’s any way for me to stay.
I mean, I have to see it myself.
What makes Life and Death so unsatisfied with how Carrie lives. And die, but that’s for another time.
