Never Judge - Chapter 1085:
Six months later
“Fuck!” Al hissed as he landed on the hard cement ground.
“What’s happening Al?” Ray asked his son over the radio. “Constant updates, remember.” He reminded his son.
Al ran, stepping on puddles as he heard people catching up to him.
“Ten people on my tail.” Al reported as he took out his gun and switched off the safety. “They are armed but I don’t think they are too familiar with the area.”
“Good. There is an ally to your right, you can lose them there.” Ray guided his son.novo/
“Hey dad, if I capture them, can I get that car I wanted?” He teased as he ducked into the ally his father had mentioned.
“We’ll talk about it when you get home.” Ray told his son. “Focus.”
Al cocked his gun and waited.
He could hear steps approaching.
“They’re near, dad. I might have to fight my way out of this. Again.” Al grumbled.
“This is the last group Al, if we bring them in it will all be over.” Ray told his son over the radio. “Backup is already in the alley next to you.”
“Perfect.” Al said as he stepped out of the building and raised his gun, stopping his pursuers in their tracks before they could enter the alley he was holed out in.
“Gentlemen, ah and a lady, hello.” Al said with a grin as he pulled out a second gun and took a step forward. “I think I should introduce myself to you first.”
“We don’t care kid!” One of the men shouted at Al. “We’re here to take you back to our boss so you can be tortured and interrogated.”
“I don’t think I’ll be tortured or interrogated.” Al chuckled. “As a matter of fact I think the opposite will happen. Do you guys want to make a bet?”
The men in the bigger alley laughed as they heard Al’s threat.
“Kid, there is one of you and ten of us.” The woman with them declared in a mocking tone. “Do you really think you can take us down?”
“What if I win, I get to keep all your guns?” Al asked, “You had a nice collection back in your headquarters. How many of you are left? Twenty? Thirty?”
“It doesn’t matter kid, if you don’t die here, you die there!” One of the men shouted.
“Enough!” Ray told his son over the radio. “Trigger the assault. Our men have already captured their headquarters.”
Al sighed and shook his head.
“Dad said it’s time to stop having fun and work.” Al frowned.
“What the fuck are you talking about, kid?” The leader of his pursuers asked. “Get the kid, let’s go back.”
At his command three of his men attacked Al.
“Take them down.” Al said through the radio as he shot three bullets in succession, disabling his attackers.
At the same time, men and women swarmed the alley taking down the remaining seven men.
“I won the bet!” Al said victoriously as he walked up to the leader. “I get to keep your weapons!”
Al turned to the back up that had arrived and ordered them to collect all the guns they had found.
“Angelica will love these!” He exclaimed as he took a closer look at some of the guns.
“Who are you?” The man asked in shock as he looked at the young man. “You had so many men, you were playing us for fools the entire time!” <novelsnext> I think you should take a look at </novelsnext>
“Young Master Lawrence.” One of the men greeted Al as he approached.
The man on the ground looked at Al in shock.
“No way.” The man’s jaw dropped as soon as he heard what Stephen had been addressed as.
“What is it?” Al grumbled as he looked at one of his bodyguards.
Al was occasionally frustrated when his father sent bodyguards to watch over him.
After the incident with Emilio and Andres happening in quick succession, Al was rarely allowed out without a bodyguard.
Even at school they were always nearby.
“Your father is here.” The bodyguard informed Al.
“I guess he wants to inspect the headquarters together.” Al said with a victorious smile.
After months of trying to take down those that wished his family ill, they were finally at the end.
Soon he would ask his dad’s permission to visit Cara so that he could patch things up with her.
“Lock this one up good, he knows who I am now.” Al said in a more serious tone as he pointed at the leader who was down on the ground.
“We’ll dispose of him accordingly after the interrogation is done.” One of their team members said as they picked the man up and dragged him away.
“No, no, what do you mean dispose of me!” The man shouted as he was pulled towards the other end of the alley, where Al was sure he would be loaded into a van and brought to the headquarters for interrogation.
Al looked around and watched as the rest of the team inspected their prisoners.
“Good job, Al.” Hendrick’s familiar voice said, coming over the radio. “Sorry about your dad, I think he was worried. As soon as he heard we sent you on another mission he came charging in here demanding to be given the reins.”
Al chuckled and shook his head.
“I wish you or Eric could be in the field with me.” Al sighed as he remembered the early days of their mission.
It had only been seven months ago, but it felt like years had passed. Too much change had happened.
“You know we can’t go. We are too easily recognized, and soon enough you will too.” Hendrick reminded Al.
“Yeah, I’m trying to talk dad into delaying the announcement. So many things to do.” He said with a sigh.
“And one girl to chase.” Hendrick teased over the radio.
“Oh shut up.” Al said as he switched off his earpiece and frowned.
“Hendrick?” Sora asked as she came up next to him.
Despite having a rough start with Sora in the group, they quickly became friends as soon as she realized he wasn’t some spoiled heir.
“Yeah, nagging me about Cara.” Everyone in their team knew about Cara.
After she had left Al had done nothing but work. Eventually Hendrick had to tell everyone about what had happened so that they would give the kid some space.
“Well, you can go after her now.” Sora said with a kind smile.
“If we catch her brother and whoever is pulling the strings behind him.” Al sighed as he walked away, not even bothering to say goodbye to everyone.
