New Life Online - Chapter 288 Savior Of Saviors Council
Chapter 29: Savior of Savior’s Council
Life Guild
I decided to start another adventure and it looks like everyone is up for it as usual. Not even a question of what happened or a word about our failed adventure. I know they have a lot of things in mind but I guess they don’t want to open up such topic after the others left.
We decided to left the guild to the Elves. They accepted the task of protecting our guild in exchange for everything we’ve done for them which is protect them from monsters and other guilds wanting to make them as their slaves. They are with us for a while now and we invite some of them from time to time to come with us with random missions and pay them with different stuff like materials for their gears. A lot of them already managed to reach Rare Bosses like the Elf guy but I still don’t know the real power of the Elf Queen. I haven’t really seen her fight but I feel something from her.
South Forest, Near Order of Light’s North Road Road
We just passed the South Forest and now on the path towards the Order of Light City. I still remember the times when we are still lowbies and trying to go to the depths of the forest to find a dungeon and we thought that it contains some treasures but in the end, we found a Legendary Boss, not really a great experience but we were able to befriend the elves because of it.
(Same dungeon where Zia got her weapon soul)
“Guys, I think we’re forgetting something…” Elou said and we looked at each other… then we realized…
“We forgot to gear up!” He shouted and he’s right! We’re still wearing our beginner’s gears…
“It doesn’t really matter. Let’s take it as a handicap against the swamp monsters. Haha!” I said cheerfully. I’m not sure how strong the swamp monsters are but I’m sure they’re not that strong…
“Well if you say so. Just don’t get killed guys.” Elou suggested.
“Tell that to Scy.” Petula!
“Yeah, Octopus dies a lot!” Osia… why are you even here.
“You guys know I’m a glass cannon. Now I have to train again and get all those levels back… ” I replied while scratching my head.
“Don’t… be mean to Scy…” Akko said and she looks really embarrassed.
“Stop protecting Scy, Miss Akko. It’s his fault for being too reckless. Jeez…” I already know that Zia…
and the random talks continued… I don’t really need to be reminded how reckless I am though, yet I am glad that they’re with me.
We passed through the City and now we’re moving towards the Greenleaf Village. We’re moving fast while everyone is enjoying their travel time. It’s really peaceful lately and I can tell that not a single monster wants to mess with us as well. Players we pass by take a look at us as well, probably thinking “Why are they wearing beginner gears”. Guards from Beginner’s area were alerted by our numbers but it seems like they recognized us and let us pass as well.
Other Side Guild’s Gate
It’s been hours and we finally reached the Other Side guild. The last time I came here was when I asked for an alliance with them but in the end, they didn’t help us but now I knew what happened so it doesn’t matter anymore.
“What brings you here, Scythus.” It’s Arvin. He’s the one annoying one in Jay’s leaders but he looks capable.
“We’re just passing by and don’t forget about our deal before that we can freely go South. We want to travel the Swamps.” I explained.
“The swamps huh… We tried it before but before we can even enter, a lot of us already died. I heard you went on an adventure a few weeks ago but it looks like I now know what happened.” He replied.
“No need to mock-”
“Come, let’s get you some supplies. Jay is waiting for you guys.” He seems to be different from before.
“You sure change how you welcome people,” I replied.
“We’re in a different situation now. Last time, our leader just randomly joined an alliance with a new small guild trying to prove something but now, I guess, I don’t have to act like our leader made a bad decision for letting you guys in.” He calmly said. I guess he has a point.
“Noted. You guys sure did a lot of recruitment huh. Your numbers doubled since the last time I came here.” I looked around while we enter the guild.
“With Order of Light currently in a mess right now, I guess a lot of their members decided to join other guilds instead. We got lots of recruits but seeing Chara happy with you guys, I guess we’re good with it as well.” Chara was with them for a long time but I guess she made the right choice. She’s really a good addition to our guild.
Other Side’s Guild Hall
We reached their guild hall and they’re in a different atmosphere here than last time. Everyone is busy with something and I can tell that they’re trying to improve everyone’s overall power. I guess a lot of them trained a lot too.
“Hey Scy, it’s been a while. How’s your adventure?” Jay asked though I am sure he already knew what happened.
“We miserably failed but it looks like Other Side Guild is not the only one that is away from publicity. We found few people there, stronger than my whole guild combined.” I explained.
“You’re not serious, are you? A lot of guilds tried to destroy you but failed and you’re saying you lost to a bunch of islanders? Are they planning to come here though?” Jay asked and he looks baffled by it.
“It seems that they are planning to come here so I suggest that you all prepare for it as well because if we fail, all the guilds will fall,” I warned him.
“If that is true then everyone should train harder. For you guys, you are all welcome to get your supplies here and get some gear guys. You all look like a bunch of farmers.” He suggested and so we all stayed for the night.
Savior of Savior’s Hide Out
“We’re all waiting for you, Mr. Kim.” I haven’t even removed my helmet thingy and they are already here in my room. She’s probably the new IT Engineer.
“Wait, why are you waiting for me again?” I said while removing it from my head.
“The Savior of Savior’s Council.” She replied.
And so, I woke up and decided to head to this council thingy.
Savior of Savior’s Council Room
“What do you mean we might not win? I have no intention of joining this sh*t because my guild was humiliated enough already! Do your own sh*t” I heard an annoyingly familiar voice from afar. They need to seal the room because everyone can freaking hear it.
“It’s your own fault for doing stupid decisions. You even do nasty things but you’re even still here. Shut up and stop shouting.” Another familiar voice… I think I know where this is going.
Finally… I’m in front of the door and I can still hear them louder now.
*Door Opens*
Everyone stopped from talking and I was right. I can see that the Thirteen Gods are all here including Jay. Jay, what the hell! You looked at me earlier as if you didn’t know anything… I guess there’s no need for introduction.
“All the leaders are present and all of them were here before the war as well but not all of them are happy with the Old Man’s plan. Thanks to them, you were able to get through it.” Zeth stood up and showed me my seat, fancy group of people.
“So what am I supposed to do here? I’m not even sure if I belong here.” I looked at everyone and most of them are familiar with being CEOs of biggest companies and famous in the real world.
“You tell me. These people think you’re some kind of hero but when I look at you, I see a self-centered brat who can’t keep his as* out of other people’s businesses.” Siren seriously looks different from his gothic get up in game. In reality, she wears a fancy suit and I can tell that she’s not just an ordinary someone. Her foul words are still there though.
“Show some respect to the Council, Miss Sirene. Now, before we start the meeting. Anyone has any problems we need to discuss?” Aurora asked. Siren looks pissed but she can’t do anything.
“So, none. I guess all of you got all the reports and the clips needed while Scy and his members fought with the Organization. As you can see, we all still got all the legendary monster souls and even the World Boss’ monster souls, the ones that are the same with what they used earlier. All these monster souls are unique and can’t be duplicated so we don’t know where the hell did they get it. Still, even we have those Legendary Monster souls, no one can use it yet and the only thing we can do is try our best to improve ourselves in a few weeks. Can everyone do that?” Aurora explained.
“I don’t think we have enough time Sssss. Reaching Final form of our Rare Monster Souls took us a year to master it Ssssss.” Upon hearing him, I can tell that he’s Venum.
“Dr. Ven, time doesn’t concern how fast we can improve ourselves. Mostly everyone just reached the Final form of their monster souls while this guy here got his Legendary Monster Soul already, not even one but two.” Aurora waved at me comparing me to others.
“You do know, real men don’t have much free time as he has. Real men have our lives as well. Dr. Ven is the Head CEO of the best hospital in the world and me, as a man, do my job to create the best buildings throughout the whole world.” It looks like Bludgeon is an Architectural Engineer.
“We all know that but we’re not just talking about our lives or just our lives in the game, Mr. George. Our future depends on this one. I admit that I hated all of this plan and these ideas coming out from someone but my grandpa died because of it. I can’t let this plan fail as his final wish!” Zeth is the old geezer’s grandson… that explains a lot.
“If only you told me where they are hiding in the first place, we could have cornered them and kill all of them. Am I right?” Who is this guy? He’s a bit too good looking a soldier. He wears some kind of high-ranked officer uniform too.
“General Shivan, we’re trying to make it as private as possible. We don’t want to get the public involved with it. Going back to our main topic, everyone should be ready. Mr. Khan, you must already know that your brother, Noon, is with them right?” Aurora replied. General what? He looks so young to be a general and he looks really different from the game!
“Yeah, I’m aware of my brother’s foolish decisions. He joined them years ago. I tried my best to find him and stop him from doing something stupid but he hated me so much that one day he wants to be better than me. And soon, I’ll show him that firefighters never backs down against flames!” Vulkhan is a firefighter? A firefighter that uses fire to fight? Jeez. Also, I heard Khans are the best firefighters in World’s Fire Protection Association. Where on earth did they find these people?
“Just do your job properly, they are blaming our company for your slow service when our stupid consumers have problems with fire.” Vortz seems to have problems with Khans…
“Everyone knows that WEC (World’s Electrical Company) sucks. They just don’t have a choice.” Drake also said something.
“Mr. Blake, we’re going somewhere else again. We need to focus, guys. How about you, Miss Shiela and Miss Catherine? Do you have any suggestions?” Aurora asked the others. Drake looks familiar from the ads when I went to the city before on some kind of gas companies or something.
“…” Oh, good idea, Miss Catherine. She wears a pretty good looking dress. She’s probably a model or something.
“I don’t know what to say but I’m pretty sure they’ll show up in our city. I hope that we could stop them before they can destroy my city.” Shiela’s right. There’s a huge chance they’ll show up in Drowned Trident’s Guild first.
“I’ll get my best defenders to defend your city. Mr. Jay here showed us that he has good artillery techs for defending so his guild can help us as well. Mr. George and Mr. Daimon will build the best defense for your guild as well. We’ll do our best to save your city.” Siegriel explained. It looks like we have a plan. I just hope that we can really win.
“I guess that’s the plan. For now, Everyone should train and try their best to at least stop them. We have the numbers and we can win if we can move as one. It’s time for us to show them the power of New Life Online’s Strongest.” Uhmmm… I don’t think I’m any part of the plan…
