CHAPTER 50: TEAM SCY IN ACTION

The masked girl only smiled at me, keep smiling because I’ll make sure that smile disappears soon enough.

I can’t believe I was able to even transform. I’m fully covered with armor and I can feel a tremendous amount of power all over my body. I feel like with one attack, I could even destroy anything. This is the power I need to defeat someone like her… but it won’t last long so I gotta do it with a clear shot.

“KING OF THE BEASTS’ WRATH!” Elou, you too?! Isn’t that the Chimera’s aura… it’s even stronger now. He looks like a cat boy now.

“What the hell Elou, no wonder you didn’t join us and-”

“CRYSTAL DRAGON’S WRATH!” What?! I looked where I heard the chant and it was… Lili… She’s even sitting like a princess on a pile of crystals. I bet we can have an unlimited supply of crystals now.

“It looks like the Team Scythus is back and we’re all on equal grounds now.” Don’t brag Akko, do you know how many times I almost died against Hydra?

“I guess so, next time tell me your plans before you hunt your own monster souls. Now, let’s see what your monster souls can do.” Compared to their World Boss souls, mine is a little bit stronger due to it being from a high-level area but they’re still strong.

“Wow, now I’m about to fight four people with World Boss monster souls. If I’m not entertained, I don’t know what will.” The masked girl seems to be a little bit impressed. I don’t know what she has but what could even be stronger than a World Boss monster soul? We can finally fight fair this time.

“It’s time… HYDRA’S ENDLESS HEADS!” I summoned four heads, not really endless because that’s only I can spend with my current mana, trying to chase her! I need just one bite and it would be enough to at least destroy her defense. Hydra’s annoying heads, if cut, will grow back and if she can cut them off, it’ll grow more without consuming any mana… but-

*RUNNING* So fast! She’s trying to avoid the head without hitting them! How on earth can she move so fast like that-

“Stop running! ROOOAR!” Elou?! Wow, he can freaking move so fast! I didn’t even see him! He slammed her after appearing in front of her!

*BAAAAAAM!* The ground crumbled and that was a strong attack! The King of the Beasts, no need to explain what on earth it is, has the speed and power. Elou sacrificed everything about archery and decided to go full beast mode! Her barrier easily got broken just one attack from Elou, I don’t want to mess with him anymore!

Raising both of his hands like that, he’s planning to attack once again with a more powerful attack!

“FREEZING SOUNDS* The masked girl created a couple of ice barrier in front of her to defend from Elou’s attack but-

*BAAAAAAAAM!* He appeared from the side of the masked girl and attacked with both of his hands! She hit the ground once again and sent flying upwards giving us the chance to hit her! Even with absolute ice defense, he was able to crush it!

“Hydra, go for it!” She used her fire to stop her from flying even further and I guess it’s time for Hydra to have his snack!

*BITE* One of the heads managed to bite her but damn her ice still managed to protect her and one isn’t enough to penetrate her defense!

*BITE* The other one bite her sideways for both to be able to bite her and I can finally feel in my grasp that her ice shield is starting to break. A little bit more!

“HYDRA’S ACID BREATH!” Both heads released powerful acid that killed one of my members when we were fighting it. I’m not proud of it but it was hilarious how he died.

Damn it, the regeneration of her ice protection can keep up with the acid’s power! I won’t be able to break her ice protection, wait-

“ICE WYVERN’S GIANT CLAWS!” Akko? What is she planning to-

*BAAAAAAAM!* She created two giant claws and slammed my Hydra’s heads with it finally crashing her ice defense and was hit by the twin claws! Thanks to that, the heads finally increased. I need a little bit stronger Hydra heads if I want to deal more damage than that. Can you do anything other than using your head?!

“CRYSTAL DRAGON’S WINGS OF THORNS!” Lili’s starting to launch an attack as well. She created a form of giant dragon wings with crystal thorns and then send them flying towards the masked girl who’s just pretty much defenseless. If that attack won’t work then we’re not going to stop!

*ZWOOOOOSH!* What?! Before the crystal thorns hit her, she used her hand to catch the side and then pushed it away! Those giant thorns were pushed like they weigh nothing! The weight won’t affect her if she knows how to deflect those kinds of attacks.

Hydra, this won’t work with your heads, give me something better!

“HYDRA’S WEAPON FORM! Elou, let’s go!” Elou can jump so high that he can reach even the sky with one jump. I needed to use my fire booster to get to one of the heads and rode it to her. If giant heads won’t damage you that much then how about a long concentrated blade!

“SWOOOOSH! SWOOOOSH!* I tried to hit her with a side slash and another one but she moved so fast that I wasn’t even to land a hit! I landed on one of the heads safely. Damn it, she’s sneaky fast.

*BAAAAAM* What?! Elou’s attack was intercepted by her hand too and made a powerful impact. Not only that, Elou’s attack lost and he was pushed back! Seriously?! Her barrier and ice protection are down but we still can’t freaking hit her!

“Pathetic.” She muttered. Unlike Elou who’s speed was dramatically increased, I’m the one who can’t really keep up. If only I can use Kyut’s speed with my form, I can even be faster but… it will take a lot of mana and I don’t think I can take that… Hydra, I need something better, don’t be stingy…

“I hate you, why would I-”

“You’re not the first one to hate me, really. So just help me and let’s slap that girl’s face.” Why are dark type monsters have dark personality too? Seriously, devs…

Only two heads are left and for that, he granted me oozing dark element around my body. How will this help though-

*SWOOOOOSH!* Holy… I moved by myself! The masked girl finally attacked with strongly concentrated fireballs towards me but she missed! I have a dark aura that can sense harm as well and protect me too…

“Scy! Be careful!” Elou, I know-

*BAAAAM!* She’s fast too! She managed to catch up to me but Lili was able to create a crystal barrier in front of me! Nice job, Lili! Wait, the masked girl looked at Lili! She’s going to target her!

“Elou!” I shouted and both of us rushed to catch up to the masked girl! She’s moving so fast, even faster than both of us! Damn it… wait what are you doing Elou?!

*BAAAAM!* Eh?! He hit me at the back and I’m pretty sure it broke some of my freaking bones! But… I managed to catch up with her!

“You’re not going to hurt my friends!” Eh?! She turned around and looked at me! She wasn’t really targeting her but she just wants to catch me off guard! Damn it Elou this is your fault! I can feel it, she’s about to kill me! Lili’s crystal barrier won’t be able to defend me on time!

“SCORCHING GOD’S FIERY FIST!” She can use that too?! Holy… sh*t… I’m screwed!
