It took me a while to get to the headquarters. I hope they’re ok.

The doors were blasted down, it looks like they used force to get in. How did I miss this? Someone knows how to get in and managed to-

“Sir! Are you alright?!” Mr. Kim and Sither! I knew it! He’s the-

“Don’t worry, we’re alright. Two-Teeth here helped me.” Oh, it looks like I was wrong. A couple of people, the same as those I fought earlier are currently on the floor and I’m pretty sure they’re out cold.

“You don’t have to call me that in real life. I am still mad but this is what Glace wants. I have to save Aries even if I know I hate him the most right now. Oh, and by the way, you’re welcome.” I don’t know why but he’s still annoying as ever.

“Don’t get too cocky, rabbit. You led them here, didn’t you?”

“Yes, I did. And you might think you’re so mighty but you were not able to stop us. So I think, I outsmarted you. Right? Again, you’re welcome for saving this guy here.” Ugh… so that means he led them here so he can trap them. No need to destroy the entrance though.

I just ignored him and headed towards the control room. He doesn’t really deserve my attention.

“So, any update in-game?” The monitor caught my attention. The whole army of New Life Online against… wait that’s the masked girl.

“Not good. I didn’t expect that a single person can destroy the whole army of New Life Online World. Even the best players we’ve got can’t even hurt her. Any plans, Mr. Kim?” Mrs. Kim is still calm, I can tell.

“Why are you calling me Mr. Kim, baby. Should we get in soon? I can see that our son is having a hard time. I think it’s time to show the antagonist what will happen if you mess with the protagonist’s parents.” I don’t think you’re supposed to say that Mr. Kim.

“I don’t really remember the reason why I married you.” You just realized it by now Mrs. Kim.

“I don’t remember either but I’m your idiot husband forever… and ever.. and ever” While the idiot guy’s pointing his finger to his wedding ring.

“Now, now. Stop flirting, you old people. So what’s the plan?” They’re pretty much imprisoned inside the game so I don’t think they have strong characters and they don’t like they suffered there at all.

“Don’t worry, we’ve got this. Also, it’s the best time to fight back. Azzie and Two-Teeth, it’s time for you guys to-”

“No can do, they got some bombs implanted inside their heads and if their mission failed, it would explode and as you can see…” He pointed at them- eww… that’s nasty.

“Not only that, they couldn’t really trust me so they didn’t really give me the chance to let me in their hideout.”

“No worries, I’ve got this.” Mrs. Kim can really do something, unlike the guy she chose to marry.

“Good teamwork guys. Now, when you’re done with that computer thingy, let’s kick some arse!” Teamwork, he says. Mr. Kim, I hope you do really something good in the game.

“Two-Teeth and I will lead our agents to their location. I’m sure they’re already trying to leave but they won’t be able to escape in time. Let’s go.” I signaled Two-Teeth. We need to get them this time.

(Scy’s POV)

“Elou, are you ok?!” He’s pretty out. Damn, we’re pretty screwed. We haven’t really rested. What they did just buy us like a couple of minutes. I’m fully aware that we really don’t have any chance anymore.

“ARCHERS! SPELLCASTERS” The archers and spellcasters bombarded her again with thousands of arrows and high-level spells but those won’t buy us any more time. Those giant blocks of ice also killed thousands of us already. I don’t know what to do… I’m out of options…

She’s not slowing down and sped up towards us. She’s really aiming for me! I can’t let the others get killed because of me. If you want me, then go ahead.

Flame booster, don’t let me down!

“Scy!” Akko’s worried, but I’ve got no choice.

“Running away won’t do you any good!” Oh, sh*t… she’s freaking fast!

Damn it, faster! I poured everything I’ve got to get away as fast as possible but she’s catching up real fast. This is not really working for me either.

ACK! She got me in the back. Even with the shield, damn it. I can’t even imagine where she’s getting all this power anymore. I tried to control my fall with my fire booster but the damage done won’t let my body listen to me anymore.

“This is the end, Scy-” She stopped…

“What? What do you mean, Two-teeth did what?-” She’s pretty mad…

“No, I’m not leaving. I don’t have much time left. Leave me-”

“I told you, just leave me. I have some business to do.”

I fell to the ground and that freaking hurt. I hate being weak… and whoever she is talking to, it looks like they’re in a pinch.

“I just need to kill someone.” She got her flame on, I’m gonna get burned.

“FLAME GOD’S ABLAZE!”

“SHADE’S FIRE SPLITTER!” Shade? Wait… who was that?! Someone appeared in front of me and split the girl’s flame spell with a dark slash!

“Nice to see you again, so I can kill you…” I heard the same voice as my Shade…

“You never change, Shade. Hello, Son. Jeez, you look so worn out. Come on, let your old man help you.” Dad?!
