Nightmare Came to The Place I Escaped - Chapter 49
Hiiieeee
Rachel grabbed him by the shirt, and closed her eyes tightly when the knight spoke fiercely to her.
“Get off.”
“This is…”
It was a place she’d never seen in her life.
“His Highness… Where is Lady Avery?”
“Get off now.”
When Rachel held onto him without getting off, he first got off the horse and pulled Rachel down by her arm.
“Ouch!”
Rachel twisted her ankle from the painful fall, but she still limped and retreated from the threatening knight.
“Tsk. Don’t bother.”
He glanced at the frightened Rachel, then pulled out a vial from a pocket on his chest.
“What are you doing?”
“Huh, are you asking because you don’t know?”
Where was Rachel now? Why did he bring her here? Why did they stop here? What’s that medicine bottle?
She couldn’t understand anything.
“What about you?”
However, she felt more than anyone else that something was strange. Rachel looked around as if she were trying to run away.
However, there was no place to hide in this vast plain. In addition, she wasn’t sure how far she could run away with a sprained ankle.
“Don’t try to make a fool of yourself. This is the last generosity the Crown Prince is giving you.”
Rachel frowned at Ian’s words coming out of the man’s mouth.
“His Highness has commanded you to be dealt with. He didn’t want to leave anyone who knew about his unfortunate past.”
“….”
“He’s going to be the Emperor now, and you can’t hold him back.”
Step Step
Rachel stood there blankly, even as the knight narrowed the distance without hesitation.
“His Majesty… Did he say that?”
The knight didn’t answer Rachel’s question.
Then he opened the lid of the bottle without saying a word.
Swish!
“That!”
Rachel then turned around and ran away, like a man who’d come to his senses.
She moved her legs like crazy, but it wasn’t long before the sturdy man caught her. In the end, it was nothing more than a meaningless charge.
“Ugh! No!”
She shook her head violently.
Chomp
“Ugh! You crazy girl!”
The knight, who Rachel had bitten on the hand, cursed at her and slapped Rachel’s cheek ruthlessly.
The strong force turned her head, and tears flowed in an instant.
“Ugh, I’m sorry. Please let me live. Please. I’ll just live quietly like a rat.”
Falling to the floor, Rachel grabbed the man’s leg in front of her and begged.
“Tell them. What the heck am I supposed to do! What?”
“Don’t waste your time.”
“Please, no!”
Rachel’s mouth opened automatically from the man’s strong grip.
“You shouldn’t have bothered me like that.”
The knight whispered coldly as he held her tongue.
Rachel couldn’t resist and had no choice but to gulp down the liquid that the knight poured in.
“Huk!”
Then it was a time for anguish and suffering.
Cough, Cough
Her throat was burning hot, and her stomach felt like it was twisting.
“Ahh! Help me, give me.”
Funny how Rachel asked for help from the man who put the poison in her mouth. But Rachel was once again thwarted by the cold, disinterested stare.
“Huk.”
Rachel finally realized why Ian frowned whenever he met her in the Imperial palace.
He hated her enough to kill her. She didn’t mean to disturb him. How could he do this?
Rachel crouched and struggled to the fullest. She wanted to live, and grabbed the soil in pain.
But in the end, she knew this was the end.
Intense pain, as if everything was burning.
Rachel let out a small sad laugh at the fact that this was Ian’s last generosity to her. She had no idea why the heck he hated her so much, or why he was so cruel to her.
His last generosity was horribly cruel and painful.

She thought it was all over like that, but Rachel had to open her eyes again.
“Rachel!”
Her body shook lightly. Rachel struggled to open her eyes at the touch that was not soft at all.
“Hey! Wake up!”
“….”
“What are you doing? You’re late. Don’t space out, and change your clothes.”
“…What?”
“What is it? It’s morning.”
Rachel frowned furiously, and looked around the room.
Everyone was busy changing their clothes, except for her.
Little girls who looked about ten years old.
Rachel was sure she knew them too.
“I don’t know if you’ll be able to eat breakfast because you’re so lazy.”
The young woman warned Rachel again.
At that, Rachel got out of bed blankly and changed her clothes out of habit.
Then she burst into laughter.
Even in her dreams, she was a maid.
“Oh, Rachel. You’re so lucky.”
“Why?”
“The third prince will become Emperor. Do you think something good will fall into your lap?”
Rachel nodded softly to the envious whining.
Yeah, it was definitely something she’d been through.
This was the room she shared with the girl in the Imperial palace before she ran away with Ian.
She didn’t know why she dreamed of this point during all those days, but Rachel moved steadily in her dream.
“So, what do you think?”
“What?”
“Did the maids’ attitude towards the prince change?”
Her words reminded Rachel of a very distant day.
The prophecy about Ian had come out.
What happened after that…
“A little bit.”
Rachel stayed still for a while, and nodded.
She was sure the maids’ attitude towards Ian had changed a bit. They seemed a little more polite.
“You, too, you should show His Highness. You know what? You want to live a good life later, right?”
That’s what she said to Rachel, who walked after her as she left the room.
To think she’d been pitying her for being the maid to the third prince.
“Oh, I envy you. I’m sure he’ll take care of you.”
It seemed like she was pretty jealous now.
This brought Rachel to tears.
It reminded her of the last time she was in pain.
“Huh?”
The maid frowned as if embarrassed by Rachel’s sudden tears.
“Are you crying? Oh, are you sick?”
Once the tears broke, they were not going to stop, and Rachel cried sadly, shaking up to her shoulders.
“I want to stop.”
Rachel sat down, and wept loudly.
It was her first time crying loudly like this.
“I don’t like this.”
Why did she have to dream like this until she was about to die. If she wished for it, would it have ended with death?
She didn’t want to feel anything, and she didn’t want to think about anything.
She didn’t want to be hurt by the fact that she was killed by Ian, and she didn’t want to look back on her meaningless actions.
So that she couldn’t think about anything. She wanted to stop dying.
But in this horribly vivid dream, even that wasn’t at her disposal.
Everything that happened with Ian came to mind in an instant, and it was so painful that she couldn’t even breathe. She hoped this dream would end soon because it was already painful enough.
She wanted to go to her death where she couldn’t feel any pain, and couldn’t think of anything.
If Ian was really generous to her, she hoped it was the toughest poison. She couldn’t blame him or hurt him, just feel the pain of the moment so that she could finish everything.
“Please, I want to stop!”
But in the end, his generosity was cruel.
The young maids glanced at Rachel, who was sitting down in the hallway and crying, for a while in amazement. One of them eventually called the head maid.
The head maid hesitated for a moment at the crying Rachel, but soon led her back to her room.
But Rachel couldn’t stop crying at the touch that raised, and dragged her.
Only after being slapped by the head maid’s hand did she stop crying.
“Stop. Just calm down.”
Her slapped cheek hurt a lot.
“Are you hurt somewhere?”
Rachel blinked and clasped her cheek.
“It hurts…”
“First of all, I’ll call a doctor. Since the morning…”
The head maid looked down at Rachel, who was dazed, and soon hurried out of the room.
Her face burned painfully, and tears welled up, but Rachel stopped crying because she was afraid of being hit again by the head maid.
“It hurts…”
It was a very strange thing.
She couldn’t believe her slapped cheek hurt this much.
It was too vivid to be a dream.
Rachel, who was standing blankly in the room where the head maid left her, only moved to sit when the doctor arrived.

It was two days later that Rachel accepted that this situation wasn’t a dream.
She went back to autumn when she was fourteen.
“Rachel, you have to go to work today. You don’t even have a fever. I don’t know if you’ll get scolded by the head maid for pretending to be sick.”
At her words, Rachel rose from her seat.
The doctor said that there wasn’t anything wrong with Rachel, so she couldn’t rest anymore.
If she rested for three days without being sick or hurt, she thought she would get another slap from the head maid.
“Yes, that’s a good idea.”
“….”
“See you later in the evening.”
Rachel nodded quietly at her words, and slowly moved to Ian’s detached palace.
Ian Dakendov
Her hands trembled at the fact that she had to see him again.
Since when had he hated her so much?
“….”
Stupid. Why didn’t she know that?
He shouldn’t have said he’d come back.
She wouldn’t have been relieved to follow the knight. She wouldn’t have thanked him for sending a knight for her.
Just walk away coldly.
Then wouldn’t it be a little less sad?
“Hey. Eat it.”
“….”
“What? You don’t want to? You can’t do this because you’re going to become Emperor, right?”
Rachel, who was walking blankly, slowly raised her eyes at the sound of voices.
She soon frowned at the situation in front of her eyes.
“…Your Majesty?”
Rachel’s eyes moved around quickly as if she were embarrassed.
The Palace garden.
Under the feet of the first prince, Ian’s silver hair was being trampled.
His white shirt was all wet and covered with dirt. When Ian flinched at Rachel’s voice, the first prince put his strength on his feet.
“What?”
“Isn’t that the girl?”
