No Where To Run: Trapped With My Archenemy - Chapter 83
UNEDITED: By Monday, regular updates will return. Sorry for the inconveniences.
Wan Yi Jun’s answer was unexpected. Well, it was weird to even think that one of the top officers in the imperial police force was once wanted to become a pianist.
“I like wrestling.” Ming Yue said all of a sudden, gathering everyone’s attention to her.
“I used to work with a wrestler’s place. Nowadays I just wrestle in kitchen with dough and batter.” She said in a monotonous tone that instantly cracked up others,
“Oh no worries, I can spar with you,” Han Ze Min casually suggested.
“Say that after seeing her punchs,” Wan Yi Jun let out a chortle and haughtily tilted his head when he recalled
“You are not from the capital? But you don’t have an accent?”
“No. I’m from Zhi Ruo.”
“Zhi Ruo from dragon city.”
“Yes, have you been there officer?”
“No…I have met someone from Zhi Ruo,”
“It’s no wonder that you met someone from Zhi Ruo, people often migrate from that barren land to capital for better opportunities.”
“Barren land?”
“Hmm, it is a border island, with no proper facilities or infrastructure.”
“Those were two university students, orphans.”
“Orphans are not a new thing in Zhi Ruo, most of the kids born over there lost their parents and family in the borderland dispute.”
“Mainland people often treat us pushovers or illegal immigrants from Daisun who got no power here.”
“Those kids were university students in one of the prestigious universities in the capital and got themselves in a bit of trouble.”
“Sir Lao, why are you ruining the mood? You can talk about the case all week, but not on weekends.”
“I’m sorry…If I said anything to offend you.”
“No sister, Sir Lao is not feeling good. Apparently, we hit a dead-end in the recent case we investigated.”
“That murder case on new year?”
“Oh, you knew about it?”
“It’s all over in the news.”
“Well, media houses don’t know our struggle. They just spew nonsense.”
“They spew nonsense because you kept people in darkness.”
“Even police officers are struggling in darkness, without any .”
“Who pushed the police into darkness?”
“Ming Yue, are we really having this conversation at the dining table?”
“I know. The whole point of having this meal is to get your minds relaxed, so sorry for the inconvenience caused by me. Please have your lunch.”
“Captain, your maid is quite fierce.”
“Yes, she is.”
“No matter how much evidence we collect, we always end up in the same place we started, the victim was murdered due to personal vengeance. But even after interrogating literally everyone related to that victim, we still couldn’t find anyone who would have hatred towards the victim.”
“Have you checked about her past relationships?”
“She doesn’t have any past relationships.”
“Who doesn’t have a past relationship? I’m damn sure that everyone here has a relationship.”
He was looking at her without taking his eyes away from her, even for a moment.
“Young master Han, is there anything on my face?”
“Nothing. All I can see is beauty.”
“Master, it seems like he is not comfortable having a meal with me. So excuse.”‘
“Don’t leave. I’m sorry I was
t felt a dream.
Never ever in Han Ze Min’s life, he imagined that he will get an opportunity to meet someone who resembles Tsuki, his first love.
He lost her years ago, but even today when he meets a woman, his mind unknowingly search for the resemblance, only to get disappointed.
When Ming Yue returned from the kitchen carrying the dishes, she saw Wan Yi Jun and
“Is everything alright, Yi Jun?”
“I don’t think maids in this house address their master by name?”
“This is what I told you earlier, master.”
“Just ignore him, he is crazy.”
“Hmm…”
“This is scallops, it’s better that you don’t eat it.”
“Who told you that I liked pan-fried dumplings?”
“He did?”
“He said that you are allergic to shellfish and make something else. Yi Jun has told me that you enjoy eating dumplings.”
“Please sit down, miss.”
“I must say that Captain is too lucky that he could eat every food made by your hands.”
“Why don’t you open a restaurant instead of being a maid?”
“Should I open a restaurant?”
“I will think about it later when I save a lot,”
“My father owns a bank, I can ask him to give you some funds.”
“Even if I get funds, it’s too much to manage right now since I’m new to this place.”
“You are not from the capital? But you don’t have an accent?
“No. I’m from Zhi Ruo.”

“I know. The whole point of having this meal is to get your minds relaxed, so sorry for the inconvenience caused by me. Please have your lunch.”
“Captain, your maid is quite fierce.”
“Yes, she is.”
He strongly believed that there are no woman in the world who shares similarities with Tsuki, but right now, he just met a woman who exactly looked like the face he had kept preserved in his mind for all these years.
“Good afternoon,” Ming Yue smilingly greeted as she extended the cocktail drink to the man who stood there stunned by her appearance. However, there weren’t any response from Han Ze Min as he blatantly stared into her face, as if he had turned into a statue. Watching his unexpectedly expected reaction, the eagle team members also figured out that their officer Han was equally shocked to learn that Captain Wan lives with an extremely good looking woman.
“Officer Han,” Bing Wen who hardly controlled his laughter, gently patted Han Ze Min’s shoulder and woke him from the dazed state.
“Who are you?”
Han Ze Min cluelessly asked as if someone has abruptly pulled him out of a sweet dream.
“Me? I’m Bing Wen. The technical expert of eagle team.” Bing Wen answered like an obedient subordinate, but laughing at his superior’s blank face, in his mind.
All these days, he has only seen Han Ze Min as an absolute show stealer, some one who is intelligent and witty at the same time. But this was the first time, he saw him standing spellbound, that too infront of a woman.
“Huh…no…not you…” Han Ze Min wobbled his head in denial and glanced at Ming Yue who still stood before him, holding the drink in her hands. He took a step closer to her, so close that his high nose almost bumped into her face.
“Who are you?” He asked once again, his sharp eyes gazing deep into her eyes, seeking for answers.
“She is Ming Yue.” It was Wan Yi Jun who replied instead of Ming Yue, clearly annoyed by the way his cousin acted in front of everyone.
He was sure that Han Ze Min would freak out when he meets Ming Yue who resembles Tsuki, but he never thought that his cousin would become speechless before her.
Hearing Wan Yi Jun’s tone and the way Ming Yue flinched before him, made Han Ze Min’s fair forehead crease in frustration.
“I didn’t ask for her name. I asked…who is she?” He reframed his question without taking his eyes off Ming Yue, “What is her relationship with you?”
“Maid….” Ming Yue who kept her eyes downcast, gradually lifted her gaze at Han Ze Min and reaffirmed her relationship with his cousin.
“You are a maid?”
Well, it wasn’t just Lao Yating but the entire eagle team found it too hard to believe.
“Hmm…” Ming Yue agreed with an attentive nod and stood silently as if it’s no big deal.
“If you are maid, then how come I haven’t seen you before?” Han Ze Min who was quick to regain his bearings, asked as if he was leading an interrogation session.
“I started working from last week.” She replied without showing any trace of her fear.
“Hmmm.”
“Thank you.” She just give a vague answer and tried to escape from their sight. However, even before she looked for her master to help her out of the situation, Han Ze Min meddled in between Ming Yue and Wan Yi Jun, breaking their eye contact.
“I really like dumplings…So you should give me the recipe, or… teach me how to make dumplings…” He made an odd request, just to check her response. And as he expected, Ming Yue didn’t uttered a single word, whereas Wan Yi Jun stepped in to help her out.
“Why don’t we have lunch? it’s already late.” He suggested and gently pulled Ming Yue away from Han Ze Min’s doubtful eyes and sent her to set the table. Since they got no other options, one by one, the eagle team followed their captain to the dining room.
“Didn’t he just avoid answering that question?” Bing Wen shared his doubt with Shen Junru who slowly followed the others.
