No Where To Run: Trapped With My Archenemy - Chapter 86
UNEDITED -PLEASE WAIT FOR SOME TIME
Since the entire dinner plan turned into an awkward situation, Wan Yi Jun decided to give up on any activities that involved Ming Yue and Han Ze Min and took the rest of the guests for a house tour.
Even though Bing Wen invited Han Ze Min to tag along with them, he just refused by quoting that he was not feeling well.
Although Wan Yi Jun wasn’t fond of leaving Ming Yue with his cousin after all those conversations, he thought she could handle Han Ze Min without anyone else’s help.
As the eagle team members left the living room, Ming Yue returned to the kitchen, completely leaving Han Ze Min behind to rest. Just as her master expected, she had no intention to entertain the nosy guest.
She thought Wan Yi Jun’s personality change was the only thing that shocked her. However, watching how irritating has Han Ze Min has become, she had to change her mind.
Her childhood friends are never the same- time has indeed changed all of them.
Ming Yue’s train of thoughts broke when her ears picked up a loud banging sound coming from upstairs.
“Did something happen to Han Ze Min?” She wondered and stopped whatever she was doing just to check upon him.
She quickly climbed the stairs and rushed in the direction where the noise came.
It was only when she reached the first floor, she learnt that the loud banging noise was coming from the second floor,
When she realized that the noise was coming from a prohibited area of the mansion, she understood Han Ze Min’s intentions.
Apparently, the prohibited area of the Wisteria gardens was the second floor including the bedroom which she used when she lived in the mansion as Tsuki.
“Why does he want to open that room?” Ming Yue muttered under her breath and quickly walked towards Han Ze Min, who tried his best to unlock a room at the far end of the corridor.
“Where is this room’s key?” Han Ze Min demanded as soon as his eyes caught Ming Yue’s figure in the corridor. “Give it to me,”
“It’s Key is with young master Wan.” Ming Yue politely informed and looked at the door covered with several yellow coloured Talismans.
Those yellow Talismans were used as a protection charm for the people who live in the mansion from the spirit of the room’s previous owner, who lost her life.
“These people feared that I might become a ghost and haunt their family? How ridiculous?” Ming Yue mumbled in her head and glanced at Han Ze Min, who appeared frustrated to the most.
His handsome face darkened like the gloomy sky before a thunderstorm as he kept staring at the talismans.
“If you want to take a rest, let me take you to the guest room on the first floor.” Ming Yue suggested and pointed her palm towards the staircase,
Hearing her words, Han Ze Min tilted his head and stared at her without uttering a single word,
“How do you feel now? Does your head still ache?” Ming Yue asked in a fake concerned voice that eventually made the other person let down his guards.
“I want to lie down somewhere for a while.” Han Ze Min informed her while gently pressing his aching upper arm. Since he tried to bang open the strong doors with his body, it started to ache a little bit when he stopped trying.
“Please come with me,” Ming Yue led Han Ze Min to one of the guest rooms on the first floor. After making sure that he got no complaints about the room, she decide to return to the kitchen,
“Please call me if you need something,” She reminded once again and gently bowed as if she was trying to seek permission to leave.
However, just as she turned to leave the room, Han Ze Min stopped her all of a sudden.
“Stay here, with me.” Han Ze Min’s barely audible voice sounded echoing in the silent room.
“Huh?” Listening to his vague answer, Ming Yue’s shapely eyebrows creased in confusion. Did she hear it correctly?
“You can’t?”
“How come every single one of you demands something like this?”
“Did he ask you to stay with him?”
“…”
“What exactly is your relationship with him?”
“Do you really think your cousin would love someone like me?”
“Yes.”
“You must be joking.”
“You are his ideal type.”
“Master said that he has someone he likes,”
“Who?”
“I don’t know, he just said like that.”
“You don’t like him?”
“No.”
“Are you sure that you won’t change your words?”
“No.”
“Then, go out with me.”
“I’m seriously sick of it.”
“What? Did he also-”
“I have no plan to go out with anyone.”
“I like you.”
“I like me too.”
“Seriously? You think that joke would work on me?’
“You are the young master of the Han family, soon to be CEO of the HK group. You will get more eligible women-”
“I said go out with me, not to marry me.”
“Huh?”
“I have no plan to marry you. I just need someone to go out with me so that my family will stop pestering me with marriage.”
“You want me to pretend as your girlfriend?”
“Exactly. Don’t worry, I will pay for your services.”
“Do you know how offensive you just sounded right now?”
“I’m not asking for you to share
“Thanks for offering me your help, but I don’t think I will be able to accept your offer at the moment,” She politely turned down his offer with no second thoughts.
“I’m not saying that you need to accept it right now, maybe in the future, once you got fed up with this job, you can-”
Han Ze Min tried to explain, but Ming Yue interrupted him with a faint smile,
“I don’t hate this job, officer Han. I have done things, worked in places where I wasn’t even considered a human being. What to say more, this is the first place where I’m allowed to sit down at a dining table.”
She smilingly said as if she was telling someone else’s story, leaving everyone in startlement.
“Young master Wan didn’t ask me to become his maid. Well, truth to be told, he recommended me to work somewhere else in a better job, but I was the one who turned down his offer.”
“But, miss Ming…if you have given opportunities, then why don’t you use them for a better life?”
“I’m having a much better life here, and I don’t feel that I’m working as a maid, I feel like I’m doing something I like…like a hobby…” The moment those words echoed in the room, Wan Yi Jun’s lips unknowingly curled up into a sunny smile.
“And where would you find an employer who is willing to look after his maid? Also, who is hellbound on encouraging my hobbies and interests?”
Though Ming Yue said with a poker face, the words she spoke, the look on her eyes, was doused with loyalty towards her master.
He always thought that he wasn’t doing enough for Ming Yue, but little did he know that she was already grateful with whatever he did for her.
“I’m glad that you give importance to Miss Ming’s hobbies and interests, Captain,” Fei Yan, who sat there silently all the time, finally opened his mouth and commented, “As we grew up, we forget to take care of things that had given a
“How many of you still continue your childhood hobby or even thinks about it?”
“Tell me, officer Han, what was your childhood hobby and what’s the reason for you to start it and probably end it.”
“I like shooting.”
“Oh please.”
“I’m telling you the truth. My favourite hobby was shooting. And the reason, to impress my crush and luckily I’m still managing time to continue it.”
“What about you, Xiao Bing?”
“I like cooking. My mother was a great cook.”
“Beatboxing.”
“Video games.”
“What about you captain, what was your favourite hobby?”
“I liked to play the piano. Someone told me that I should try learning piano since I got long fingers.”
“Do you still play?”
“No.”
“Say that after seeing her punchs,” Wan Yi Jun let out a chortle and haughtily tilted his head when he recalled
“You are not from the capital? But you don’t have an accent?”
“No. I’m from Zhi Ruo.”
“Zhi Ruo from dragon city.”
“Yes, have you been there officer?”
”
