Noim Connected Worlds - Chapter 13 The Sun And The Moon
Somewhere near the border of Lockeguard City, Alice and Isabella were walking towards the City Gate.
[
After noticing that your brave and unwavering expression Captain Lenon has decided to entrust you the responsibility of clearing out some of the soft wolves outside of the border.
]
“Jeeze, I don’t understand, Why did the captain of the city guard give you a quest to kill 20 soft wolves? He only asked me to deliver a letter…” Alice mumbled. The two have been walking around the city for quite a while now but only Captain Lenon gave them a quest.
“What’s so good about it? That only means more work. Add me in the party first so we can share EXP.” Isabella changed the subject as she tried to comfort Alice.
“Bella… You cheat. You should’ve let me ask him first. That better not be a chained quest, or else I’m taking a part of the rewards.”
“Ugh…” Isabella could not help but roll her eyes. This Alice was just too shameless. Alice was the one that actually arrived first. But Alice was frightened when she first saw Captain Lenon’s scar. She didn’t expect that the realism of the game would reach such a level. But what she didn’t know is that Captain Lenon was giving quests depending on the expression of the players. Noticing her scared and docile attitude the captain only felt comfortable with asking her to deliver a letter.

Palace of Eternity
“I sealed this world from the outside a very long time ago, after I noticed that this world doesn’t have the capability to generate Origin Essence. I created a seal that will conceal the this world’s existence with the conditions of having no available Origin Essence on the planet.
And by the time I noticed that your world has developed enough. I introduced the Immersion Accessory to your kind. An item Capable of generating origin essence through Noim.
However, since the conditions have been met, the seal naturally started to fade away as time passed by. Like in your previous life.” Cedrick looked at William while clasping his hands.
The two were speechless when they realized that the game was really related to the destruction of earth in William’s previous life!
…
“But why didn’t you just sealed us away for all eternity!” William couldn’t take it anymore and voiced out his anger, his eyes were bloodshot as he recalled everything that happened in his past life. All of the sadness, grief and despair he experienced was all because this World’s Seal was released!
“Do you think I owe this world a favor?” Cedrick vanished and suddenly appeared in front of Willam. He lifted Willam by the neck and smiled. Willam almost collapsed as soon as Cedrick’s hand touched him. They couldn’t even breath when they were just a few steps from Cedrick, being so close to Cedrick blood sprayed all over his body as he fell to the ground.
“It’s fine we’re inside the Noim.” Cedrick mentioned as he watched William puke blood.
Seeing everything in front of him, Edizon focused his gaze on Cedrick as he muttered to himself. “So our world was destroyed on a whim huh…”
William summoned the last of his willpower as he shouted…
“Then why are you doing this?!”
Cedrick smiled before he started walking towards his throne. Not even bothering to face the two, he replied…
“I’m simply giving this world a chance. Thousands of worlds without Origin Essence have been destroyed to ashes by other other entities. It’s only a matter of time before this world’s seal fades away… If I help again that time. Don’t you think that’s too much already?”
“…”
Upon reaching his throne again, Cedrick turned around and lifted his arms as he shouted with a maniacal smile….
“You should be stumbling from joy! You two are the fated heroes of this world!”
…
“All entities that absorbed origin essence are able to break their limits. And of course, while you and your ancestors were trapped in this seal. Entities from other worlds have been absorbing Origin Essence since the time they were created! They have broken their limits millions of times and have extended their lifetimes by millenniums! Of course, even without the technology that you guys have, Travelling different worlds or your so-called planets is certainly not a problem to them.”
Cedrick stopped to look at the two, before continuing..
“Let me tell you this, not everyone in existence has good intentions, some entities even had their world destroyed in the process… Of course, they wouldn’t mind taking root on another world if possible…”
“…” The two felt chills run down through their spine when they heard this.
“In your past life, your race has already signed their doom the moment that the World Government thought that they could handle everything themselves. The Immersion accessories are capable of strengthening the capability of the user’s real body as the user’s character gets stronger in the game.” Cedrick muttered.
“The World Government suppressed almost half of the players to the point of quitting. More importantly, almost all of the key locations in the world were sealed for private use. Even the key characters to saving the world were suppressed! The Entities from other worlds have been sucking on Origin Essence since birth! How could you possibly match them without the help of everyone else.” Cedrick added as disdain flashed in his eyes. He took a moment of silence before thinking aloud…
“Now if you think about it… It really doesn’t make sense if an organization can save this peaceful world from tragedy… Not to mention your World Government. So I mentioned to myself… Perhaps maybe if it’s you two…” Cedrick touched his chin as if he was thinking about something…
“What difference does it make? Even the World Government failed in my previous lifetime. How can we?” William uttered in despair. His head was already on the floor as terror filled his heart after recalling the moment other entities first attacked the world in his previous life.
“I only needed to create the sun and the moon. To keep this puny world afloat.” Cedrick replied as he sat down on his throne.
“And besides you’re not alone.” Cedrick added while looking at Edizon.
“Wait! If other entities we’re already exposed from Origin essence the moment their world was created, how would we even stand a chance?” William took a leap of faith and asked.
“If Chances don’t come by, create them.”
Sadness filled William’s heart upon hearing Cedrick’s reply. He didn’t bother to reply as he closed his eyes and wished for all of this to be over. After a moment of silence Edizon finally spoke up.
“Do you think our world and all of the people in it is all some sort amusement?” Edizon asked in a calm tone.
*Chuckle*
Cedrick laughed before stating…
“I wouldn’t go that far. This is my favorite world after all. Even I, have friends here…”
“Hmm…”
“Let’s see…”
“…”
“At most, I’ll just have to return everything back to the way it was and find someone who can do the job… But I’ll have to remove the both of you from existence of course.” Cedrick ended his speech with a grin.
