Noim Connected Worlds - Chapter 25 Moonlight Genocide
“Moonlight Genocide? Isn’t that a bit too comical?” William complained as the three ran together deeper to the woods.
“What’s wrong with it? as if you can offer a better name?” Edizon retorted as he thought of other possible names for the second guild.
“At least that’s better than ‘Sunshine Adventurers’.” Isabella cracked a joke. A smile hung on her face as she giggled. She had been teasing Alice nonstop for a few days now. It became annoying and repetitive at some point, but the three decided to not make a big deal out of it.
“Hahahahaha.” The two couldn’t help but laugh along as they sped through the forest. They couldn’t help but be surprised towards the changes within Isabella’s attitude. It was clear that Isabella was slowly opening up herself to other people.
“So if Sunshine Adventurers would be the ticket of the casual players to be a part of our schemes, then what would Moonlight Genocide stand for?” Isabella sneakily glanced at Edizon before asking.
“Well… it’s probably the role he’s gonna be starring in.” William honestly commented on his opinion.
“Actually it’s gonna be Bella’s role.” Edizon replied as he smiled at Isabella.
…
“Care to elaborate?” Isabella asked as she stopped running. She crossed her arms on her chest as she stared daggers at Edizon. After noticing that Isabella’s mood took a full swing, Edizon immediately followed up a question…
“Do you want to know what’s the difference between you and the two of us?”
“…”
“It’s because you’re too soft. You maybe skillful but hesitation can be seen between your every move. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but, every living creature in this game is actually fighting for their lives. They will do everything in order to survive. But what have you been doing? Wouldn’t that only bring you and your teammates more trouble?” Edizon scolded as he turned around and faced Isabella.
“…” Isabella suddenly recalled the moment when she hesitated from playing more aggressive when they were fighting Havoc. A lot of crucial moments were wasted that time and it led to more and more mistakes until they actually can’t handle the situation anymore. She could still remember how disappointed she was at herself…
“I don’t know if it’s because you’re afraid to induce too much pain upon others or if it’s something else. But whatever it is, it could be your downfall someday, and I don’t want that see that happen. So Remember this, whether it is in the game or in real life, there is no such thing as pulling your punches. Well actually there is, but that’s just another way to kill yourself.” Edizon stated in a cold tone. He took a glance at Isabella’s reaction before swiping in the air to open the interface of the map. Isabella slightly blushed after noticing how concerned Edizon was. But while Isabella was still reflecting over the matter, William suddenly interjected…
“Heh… Well, that explains the role of Moonlight Genocide.” William muttered as if he was enlightened. He placed both of his hands behind his head before resuming to walk in the same direction.
“Yep. It’s murder and genocide.” Edizon confirmed as he messed Isabella’s hair before following behind William.
“…” Isabella stood there frozen as she heard the short conversation between the two. Her face started to twitch as she immediately regretted her cheesy thoughts earlier. Goosebumps started to run across her back as she asked herself… What are these two guys thinking? Do we really have to go that far? She stared at the sky as a thought of uncertainty came across her mind. ‘What the hell are these two hiding from us?’
