Noob Player - Chapter 110
Shen checked his HP bar and saw that he only had 46 HP left. He was dying and if the sparring continued, he would die for sure. His Master showed no mercy nor he slowed down even though he could not even dodge the attack even once. His Master wrecked him.
Shen stabilized his breathing, and he also felt sore all over his body. ‘What’s that training for? It does not increase my-‘
[You have trained your body to the limit!]
[Congratulations! You gained 10 Vitality and 1 Endurance!]
His eyes widened in surprise when he heard the notification. The lowest stat among the other stats, Vitality. He gained 10 Vitality. This was a big discovery, and now he finally found out how to increase Vitality through the training, ‘Then, should I let Master Yosu hit me?’
‘No, I can’t let him hit me. The training must have another purpose, and Vitality increase is just one of them. I have to work harder, and this kinda helps me too for the PVP battle.’
With all the soreness all over his body, Shen got up and went out of the backyard. Fortunately, even though the game was so realistic, his skin did not turn black and blue after getting hit repeatedly by his Master.
When he got out of the backyard, his Master was enjoying the roasted fish by himself while Yue was squatting by herself. Tang Shaoyang went to ZhenZhen’s house and asked for a meal. “Also, can I get more supply? I will hunt the black giant chicken from today onwards. I have to find a new hunting ground, so Yue and Sneaky have enough Guardian Fish to hunt.”
Ming discovered that after Shen killed the King of Guardian Fish, the normal Guardian Fish spawned again. That meant the Guardian Fish was not spawning endlessly. After they killed a certain number, the boss would spawn, and they had to kill the Boss, so the normal Guardian Fish would spawn again.
Of course, he could defeat the King of Guardian Fish with the same method, but it would be better to let Dale and Yue level up first. He had to give that easy hunting ground to the level 1 Yue and Dale.
When Shen said that he would hunt the giant black chicken, ZhenZhen’s eyes shone. That meant she would get a new ingredient. “Don’t worry, I will prepare a lot of supplies for you, but don’t forget to bring back a lot of chicken too.” An unusual grin formed ZhenZhen’s lips.
Shen nodded and was about to turn around, but ZhenZhen called him. “Wait, Shen!” At this point, everyone in the village called him by his real name instead of his in-game name. It was weird to call him Runner, after all. Shen did not mind though since they had become closer after playing the game together.
“Yes?” Shen looked at ZhenZhen in the eyes.
“You said you killed the King of Guardian Fish, but where’s the meat? I want to do some experiments with Boss Monster’s meat too.” ZhenZhen asked Shen eagerly.
Shen clapped his forehead, “Did I forget to tell you what happened with the King of Guardian Fish?” He tried to recall yesterday’s story while ZhenZhen shook her head in response.
“Lyra, the Blizzard Tiger, ate all the meat of the King of Guardian Fish. I only have the spearhead with me. I am sorry, ZhenZhen. But I will try to hunt for another King of Guardian after Ming, Yue, and Sneaky hunt all the Guardian Fish.” Shen promised to give the next King of Guardian Fish. “But that Ice Boa is a gift from Lyra, though. Just take it as an exchange.”
“I see.” ZhenZhen nodded understandingly and smiled at Shen. “You don’t have to be sorry, Shen. That’s your loot, you can give it to anyone. I am just asking. However, I will hold on to your promise to give me the next King of Guardian Fish.” The older girl smiled slyly.
“Then what about the establishment? You did not tell us anything about the establishment. Did they sell some spices?” Shen’s missing arm and the tournament distracted everyone. They forgot to ask about the establishment and the quest.
“Huh!? Establishment?” Shen furrowed his brow. “Did I tell you guys about the establishment?” He did not recall telling them about the establishment. He never even once mentioned the establishment.
“Huh!?” ZhenZhen was confused as well. “Weren’t you on a quest? We thought you found an establishment in the forest. Didn’t you tell Yue that you were on a quest yesterday?”
“Ah!?” Shen clapped his forehead for the second time. They assumed he discovered the establishment because he told Yue that he was on a quest. He understood now where the misunderstanding came from. “The quest I was talking about is healing the Blizzard Tiger. It’s not an official quest, but I take that as a quest. There’s no establishment or anything, and I don’t think there’s even one here.”
“Ah.” ZhenZhen nodded her head understandingly as the misunderstanding was cleared. “Alright then, I will prepare your meal and your supplies. You might have to wait for half an hour.”
“Okie Dokie. I will visit Brother Jiang first. I need to give him the spearhead from the King of Guardian Fish. That thing might help him craft new equipment for us.” Shen left the house and headed toward the blacksmith’s house. The clanking sound never stopped. Brother Jiang was one of the most hard-working members in the village.
Shen gave the giant spearhead, and Brother Jiang was hesitant to receive it. WealthyGuy kept looking at the giant spearhead next to his door and Shen, back and forth. “Are you sure I don’t need to pay you, Shen? This Boss’ level monster material must be worth a lot. I can’t accept this free, Shen.”
The older guy cared a lot when things involved money. Maybe because he was old, or maybe he did not want to owe too much. But no matter what the reason was, Shen would not receive the money from the older guy. He knew Brother Jiang’s circumstances, so he would not receive his money.
“It’s okay, Brother Jiang. I told you before, make me an excellent sword if you want to pay me.” Shen grinned. “Just take it…” He then turned his head and noticed ZhenZhen went out of her house in time with a tray of food. “My food is ready. I will leave it in your care, Brother Jiang.”
Shen left the giant spearhead and headed toward the table. He left Brother Jiang with no choice. As long as Shen did not give WealthyGuy his bank info, then WealthyGuy could not send money to him.
When he arrived at the table, Yosu had finished all his food. The old man closed his eyes as he bathed in the sun. He enjoyed the warmth of the sun. Shen was about to dig in with his food until he heard his Master’s voice. “What will you do, my disciple? Are you going to venture into the deeper part of Vales?”
Shen’s hand stopped midway and answered his Master. “No, I will hunt the black-feathered chicken around the village first. After I get stronger, I may consider venturing into the deeper part of Vales.” After that, he delivered the fish meat into his mouth.
ZhenZhen was getting better at handling the slimy Guardian Fish. The meat was smooth and melted in his mouth. The marinating was perfect as well. This was ten out of ten, for sure.
“You make an excellent choice there, my disciple. You are eager to get stronger, but you are patient as well. There’s nothing good about rushing it, you should do it slowly. You will never regret having a good foundation.” After saying that, Yosu stood up and waved his hand at Shen. “Let’s meet again tomorrow morning, my disciple.”
“Thank you, Master.” Shen bowed his head. He was truly feeling grateful to the old man. Even though the old man was an NPC designed by Sky, his feeling was genuine, as if the old man was an actual person. Without that old man, there would be no present Shen.
Shen finished the meal quite fast. However, he could not go hunting as he had to wait for his supply, and also he needed to wait for his HP to recover. It took longer to recover his HP than his Stamina.
Half an hour passed quickly. After ZhenZhen finished preparing his supply, Shen checked his HP. His HP had not completely recovered yet. It was still 507/580. However, Shen did not wait for his HP to completely recover as he left the village to hunt the black-feathered chicken.
“It’s time for my vengeance,” Shen muttered with determination as he headed toward where a chicken usually stayed. It was close to the village where a certain chicken stayed. He quickly found the chicken who was scraping the ground, maybe looking for a giant worm.. “Let’s have fried chicken for tonight’s dinner!” Shen took out his sword and headed toward the chicken.
