Noob Player - Chapter 85
Shen walked deeper into the cave and got to see who he had been talking to. It turned out that the source of the light was the creature he had been talking to. It was a giant version of the three little cats. The tiger was laying down with its head up. Within this posture, the creature was around three meters tall.
He could not imagine how tall the creature was if she stood up. The white fur was glowing, and it became the source of the light inside the cave. The deep cyan eyes looked at him. When their eyes met, his body stopped moving.
[You have been intimidated by Epic Rank Beast, Blizzard Tiger!]
[You have been stunned for 10 seconds!]
Shen froze on the spot with his eyes opened wide as he felt a chill at his spine. That feeling was so real that it was as if he met this creature in real life. Even though he was stunned, the massive beast did not attack him. She opened her forelegs and three little cats came out from her snow-white fur.
The three little kittens stood between their mother and Shen. The three looked at Shen before they looked back at their mother. When the tiger mother looked away from him, he was relieved from the stunned state. Even so, he did not dare to make any move. He would stay still until she gave further instruction. The mother and the three children seemed to be communicating.
“You were telling the truth, human,” The mother tiger spoke to him. He could tell the astonishment in her tone. He seemed to be surprised that he was telling the truth and did not catch the three little cats. Little did she know that Shen was afraid of the three little kittens.
“No reason for me to lie,” Shen replied as he looked at the side of the Blizzard Tiger’s body. The blood-red on the fur was so contrast to her white fur. He could see a pool of blood as well below the mother tiger. The wound was still bleeding, “Do you need something to stop the bleeding? I can help you,”
For some reason, the thought of killing the Blizzard Tiger never crossed his mind. The first thought in his head when he found the bleeding wound was to find a way to help her instead. Maybe the game was so real that he started to take everything in the game seriously.
The mother tiger looked at him instead of replying. She had her eyes on him for like twenty seconds before it spoke again, “What do you want? You must want something from me?” The Blizzard Tiger was still suspicious to Shen which was understandable, “Just you know, I will not give you even one of my children. I would rather kill you and die!”
Shen scratched his head as he did not know how to answer this. Should he create an excuse to be more believable? If he was telling the truth, he was afraid that the mother tiger would not believe him. But again if he wanted to gain the mother tiger’s trust, honesty was the best way to gain her trust.
“Do you want to listen to the truth? That’s kinda lame though,” He let out a silly smile.
“Of course, I want to hear the truth! Don’t be a ridiculous human!” The Blizzard Tiger raised her voice.
Shen smiled and sat down, “It would be a long story but I will make it short…” he then told the mother tiger about his past. Knowing the mother tiger was an AI in the game. He did not mind sharing his past. It was not like the mother tiger would use that to attack him in real life.
He told the mother tiger how his mother fell sick from overworking and died, “I could not do anything at that time but watch my mother slowly swallowed by her sickness. It is so painful even now when I remember that time. I can’t do anything but watch my mother passed away,” He shook his head and looked at the three kittens, “It can be said that the reason why I want to help you is so your three children will not suffer like me,”
There was a momentary silence in between before the mother tiger replied, “But why do you want to help my children? They are not human. They are the descendants of the strong beast that one day, they might prey on you and the other humans! Why do you care about my children whether they suffer or not?”
Even though the Blizzard Tiger was still suspicious her tone was softened. Again, he scratched his head and looked toward the three kittens, “I don’t know about that too but that’s my feeling. I am telling you the truth. But do you need a reason to do a good deed?”
“But you know right that by healing me, there’s a bigger chance that I will hunt the other humans. Don’t you feel about the humans that I kill in the future?” The Blizzard Tiger kept asking him questions.
He did not mind sharing his thoughts with the mother tiger, “I will feel bad of course, but again, I am sure there’s no human’s establishment around here so you will not be able to kill humans in the future,” He grinned at the Blizzard Tiger, “So I will not feel bad about healing you,”
“Do you really not want anything from me? I am willing to make a deal with you. I can give you something that humans desired when they came to Vales,” The mother tiger offered something to Shen.
“Wait, Vales? Is this place called Vales?” Shen was more interested in the last part of the Mother Tiger’s words. He and the others were clueless about where they were, causing them to have a hard time locating their location. There was a big map, a general map of the Tribe Online. They could find their location and think of a way to get to the city.
“You come to Vales without knowing Vales?” For the first time, The Blizzard Tiger cast a strange look at Shen.
