Noob Player - Chapter 97
Shen ordered his food, his favorite mapo tofu with rice from the nearby restaurant. Simple to eat and quite fast too. His food arrived in fifteen minutes and finished his lunch in ten minutes.
He wanted to login into the game directly but he knew that it was not good to lay down inside the gaming pod after lunch. He was not going to do that even though he wanted to continue the quest as soon as possible.
“What should I do?” Shen brought the empty bowl to the skin and washed the bowl. After washing the bowl, he looked at his room, “I will do some chores, nothing wrong to clean the room two days in a row,”
Shen made sure that he was doing something in the next one and half an hour. After doing the chores he washed up before he logged into the game.
He opened his eyes and felt something different for sure. Since when sleeping on the ground was this comfortable? It was soft and smooth. He was about to get up until he felt a weight on his belly, shoulder, and thigh. He looked down and found the three small tigers were sleeping on him.
One baby tiger leaned its head on his shoulder, one was resting on his belly, and the last one had its head on his thigh. He turned his head and found out that he was not laying down on the ground but white snow fur.
“You have woken up, Shen?” a gentle voice entered his ears. Shen looked toward the voice and realized that he was leaning onto the mother’s tiger body. He was confused with the situation as he remembered that he was sleeping on the ground but how could he end up in this position.
But it did not take long for Shen to think of it. The Blizzard Tiger must be the one who moved him when he logged out, ‘Ah, so will my character stay even when I log out?’ This was new knowledge for Shen. He thought that the avatar would disappear if he logged out but it was not the case if the mother tiger could move his body.
Shen did not aware that the avatar only disappeared if he logged out in a safe zone such as the city and village or any other posts that categorized into a safe zone where monsters could not come. He was not aware that logged out in the wilderness would leave his body vulnerable and could be killed even he was not online.
“I am. Thank you for protecting me,” He then held the kitten on his belly, was about to move it away but it woke up when his hand touched the kitten.
Rawr!
The kitten let out an immature roar, waking up the other two kittens. The kitten on his shoulder was licking his cheek while the kitten on his thigh was following its brother to roar at him.
“I am ready to get the Frost Lotus,” Shen moved the kittens and stood up.
“But I am not ready. Do you still have the Ice Vulture? I need to regain more energy before we start the plan. I need to prepare the worst to face the Ice Boa if our plan to lure it out of the nest fails,” Lyra shook her head.
Shen had logged out for two hours, meaning four hours had passed in the game. He did not know if it was normal to feel hungry just after four hours. The three kittens seemed to understand their conversation as the three kittens cast an anticipation look at him. He did not mind about it and took out five Ice Vultures this time.
The three kittens went for one and their mother ate four Ice Vultures. The tiger was a quick eater. Lyra finished four Ice Vulture within six minutes while the three kittens finished their shared meal in three minutes.
“I am ready!” The mother tiger stood up and stretched out her forelimbs. Shen was about to give his response but Lyra used her paw to pick him up and put him on her back. The same for the three kittens. She brought her children up and put them on his lap, “Hold tight! I am going at full speed!”
Shen did not have a chance to speak as the mother tiger was not joking with her words. She dashed out of the cave, and he was about to get thrown away. His hands immediately held onto her fur tightly. He barely could see his surroundings as the mother tiger was so fast. It was just a blur.
However, what surprised him was that he did not get thrown away even though Lyra moved so fast. He did not have a saddle to keep his position on the back of the Blizzard Tiger. Only then he realized something when he looked on his lap.
There was a reason for Lyra to put her children on his lap. It was to keep him on her back. He thought that she was asking him to keep them but it was not the opposite. The three kittens put their weights on his lap, making sure he did not bounce off.
“We have arrived!” He felt it was not even two minutes passed but they had already arrived at their destination. Shen looked around, it was a snowy field with the trees covered in snow as well. However, it was not as cold as Frozen Hill.
“Where’s the Ice Boa’s nest?” Shen scanned the surroundings but he could not find a place that could be called a nest for a monster. He then hopped down along with the three kittens.
“The Ice Boa’s nest is a hundred meters ahead. Its nest is in the center of Frosted Lake. We can’t get near to it or else it will notice us but we can put our bite here. The wind is blowing toward Frosted Lake. This is the right spot to put the bait,” Lyra pointed in a direction with her paw. Further toward the north.
