- Chapter 315: The Lunatic Group Of NPCs
Yet just when he was taking off all the gears and loot, a system notification kicked in, giving him an instant scare.
“System alert: player’s actions have enraged the mayor and turned him mad! The mayor is using a forbidden dark scroll to destroy everything in the town. Player has less than five minutes to act or else the scroll will be activated and the town would be destroyed.”
“Damn!” he hurriedly moved outside and glanced at the sky of the town. There he found layer upon layer of dense circles taking form slowly. “That man… does he lose his mind or what?”
Bloom didn’t know what to do except to summon his clones. The moment they appeared he pointed to the dead bodies around as he shouted:
“Clear the place and hurry after me.”
He literally jumped out of the door and started to run as fast as he could. “They all are gathering up at the mansion… I’m coming you bastard,” he cursed out loud while recalling all his pets once more.
As he kept summoning his army, the final encounter drew near while he kept racing time to reach the mansion.
In less than two minutes he got himself to the mansion. The place wasn’t looking neat and nice like any other mansion he saw before, but it was covered with dense numbers of guards and even some siege weapons were there.
“Ballistae… damn!” he cursed the moment he spotted the three small towers hastily built behind the wall of the mansion with three big ballistae stationed on top of them.
“I shouldn’t waste more time then,” he moved his glance and finally found his target. That mayor stood in the middle of a dense group of strong looking NPCs, while holding a large scroll in his hands and reading in extreme concentration and utmost devotion.
“He is going to kill everyone,” Bloom shouted from afar, “he is going to destroy the entire town with its people!”
He tried to instigate the doubt between the ranks of the guards, yet the next moment strong bolts of arrows answered him.
The guards released the ballistae and hit the frontal monsters galloping fast towards the mansion. The arrows roared before slamming heavily in their bodies, fixing them to the ground motionless in a sudden impact.
“Damn you all… this town is full of lunatics!” Bloom screamed in rage before moving his eyes around.
“No other way then,” he knew he had only one chance to use it. The time left was less than three minutes, and that crazy mayor and lunatic guards were the last thing standing between him and his win.
If he lost he would lose everything, this precious chance and his previous quest of staying alive. “Loss isn’t an option,” he muttered before shouting all of sudden, “form a giant meat shield up front, let’s slam heavily over that bastard’s place.”
The pets roared and moved to follow his orders, yet the deadly arrows kept raining fast and cleaving more of their lives. Bloom pained to see many of his hard earned pets fall, but he had a precious trophy waiting up ahead for him.
And he sat his gaze and fixed it over this trophy. “Just wait you bastard… I’ll show you how foolish it was to force my hand.”
The pets kept pushing forward, and despite the fall under the deadly ballistae arrows, they finally managed to reach the wall.
There was a tight group of guards standing between them and the wall. Bloom knew if left alone, his monsters wouldn’t be able to rival the monsters for so long.
“Go and help them,” he shouted at his clones. The clones moved without fear of any death while slamming directly onto the thick layer of the guards using their dashes.
“System alert: player’s clone has been hit by an arrow and killed.”
“System alert: player’s clone has been hit by an arrow and killed.”
“System alert: player’s clone has been hit by an arrow and killed.”
Just as they were doing their best, the ballistae kept harvesting their lives.
“I won’t let this continue forever,” Bloom suddenly started to accelerate before shouting all of sudden, “duck!”
The group of monsters lying in front of him all bowed their bodies and ducked. The next moment he jumped over one of their bodies before jumping off to another and another.
The nearby wall was getting closed while he kept jumping right and left, evading some of the deadly arrows barely in time.
“Sky piercer!”
Just as he reached the end of his pets, he didn’t delay to use his movable skill and jump so high in the air. His body flew for three meters directly crossing over the wall.
“Swoosh!”
Yet the moment he reached the wall he didn’t hesitate to push his leg hard against it, jumping a few meters in the air and timely evading three darting bolts of arrows coming from the three towers.
Then he landed and started to run fast!
“Hawk skill!”
Just as he landed and started running, he didn’t forget to activate his second movable skill. His body jumped two times in the air, changing his trajectory with each jump, evading the arrows thrown on his face.
“Dash!”
And finally as he got so near one of the towers, he didn’t hesitate to use his final trump card and landed heavily like thunder on top of the three guards standing on top of the tower.
“Stab, stab, stab,” he didn’t hesitate to use his sword to hit everyone there and sent them flying, falling heavily off the tower.
“My turn… Sword tornado!”
He shouted in viciousness before sending off his four swords flying directly towards the mayor.
Yet the NPCs around jumped like maniacs to shield the mayor off the swords, taking the entire toll off their crazy mayor.
“And it’s your turn bastards,” Bloom didn’t glance for a single second over the mayor’s direction and totally trusted his swords to keep them busy. He grabbed the handle of that large ballista and pointed it fast towards the other two towers.
Then he pressed the trigger.
