- Chapter 320: Meeting An Unexpected Enemy
It kept raging wild and covering most of the red shoulder guards that had a small angel statue over their surface.
And he felt an intense storm inside him as he watched her descent before he checked her info.
“Lord grade angel Mora: A lord grade angel who is specialized in AOE skills. Simply using skills to devastate tens of miles in radius isn’t a hard thing for her. Player can use her as a flying mount, carrying them with her insane speed to travel along the map.
Angel Mora holds the key to the celestial realm, and each time she is summoned a player can use a new key to enter a new map there.
Warning: the angel Mora is as wise as humans, more arrogant than them. Getting on the bad side of your angel will make her even refuse to show up. Gaining her favor will give you many benefits according to the state of relationship between you two.”
“Are you the one who summoned me?”‘
An angelic voice came from her while her eyes that looked like galaxies looked at him.
“Y- Yup,” Bloom stuttered before recalling the last warning he got from the game. “Sorry to bother my goddess but I need your help.”
“Humph, acting humble while you aren’t,” she turned her face towards the small group of guards surrounding the mayor, “are they your enemies? It would be very embarrassing if you summoned me to deal with these flies.”
“N- No,” Bloom hurriedly shook his head, “my real ones are standing out there,” he pointed towards the direction of the caravan and the large armies beyond.
“Hmm… that looked interesting,” she seemed quite satisfied, “don’t ever summon me to deal with weaklings or a small number of enemies. I hate moving my muscles to crush some cockroaches.”
Bloom nodded in understanding while watching the mayor’s face change the moment the angel appeared. “Retreat!” he hurriedly screamed while taking more scrolls and activated them all at once.
“He is quite energetic,” Mora laughed in a very sweet way like she just heard flattering words, “leave this to me and you go there to fight some of them before I catch up.”
Bloom couldn’t refuse her offer. After all he had nothing in his hand to deal with one scroll, imagine a bunch of them.
“By the way,” she suddenly stopped him, “I can already smell the stench odor of those dark agents of you. I will look away this time on this but next time… never summon me alongside those filthy beings or else…”
She snapped her fingers and suddenly a large circle appeared on top of the distant caravan. Bloom could see spears made out of silver light falling like rain over part of his army.
And the next thing he heard was the wails of his agents while they were crushed like nothing.
“I… I got it,” he swallowed his saliva with much difficulty before turning around and Mora only gave him a silent deep glance while he retreated.
“Damn that was close,” he cursed in low tone while hurrying towards his caravan’s direction. “The game never warned me of her temper,” he complained, yet he knew he had nothing in his hands to do about that.
The moment he got near the caravan he was welcomed with the devastation caused by the spears she released just now.
An area of fifty meters radius was totally destroyed. Even the ground itself created a shallow crater there. “It’s like a giant punch hit this place,” he shook his head and got over the losses he got here.
“At least thirty dark agents were killed in this attack… quite scary!”
He recalled how she did that and before he could reach the caravan, another explosive sound came from the place he left behind.
“She is so serious… i like that,” he saw another circle back there with many red spears landing over the ground. At the same time many circles appeared covering the area back there.
“Will she be alright?” He was worried about losing his only straw of hope like this. “If she fell then I should retreat back to the town and fortify myself there.”
He knew by killing the mayor the town would be ownerless and defenseless. He stopped beside his caravan while watching the grand army standing hundreds of meters away, blocking every route of retreat for him.
“This…” he was shocked when he saw the identity of the enemy, “all are dark monsters and dark agents… who is coming this time? It’s impossible to be another town mayor.”
He moved his eyes around before finally noticing a group of strong looking cloaked NPCs on their horses. “It’s the leaders I assume,” he muttered before the group noticed his presence and suddenly they advanced.
A group of ten riders moved alone in front of their great army before stopping one hundred meters away from him.
“They don’t seem to fear me,” he noticed their bold move and realized they never put him or his little forces in the eye.
“Can you come forth and speak with our leader, human?”
One of the dark cloaked riders spoke in a harsh tone. “Who is daring to stop my path and ask me to come?” Bloom didn’t move a muscle before shouting in a strong tone.
“A thief is daring to speak this way to the owner of the skull he stole… that’s interesting.”
Another rider spoke and from his tone and attitude Bloom realized he was the leader. He also got something else from his words; the shocking identity of that rider.
“Mrodon!” he softly muttered but strangely his voice was heard perfectly by the leader.
“At least you got some intelligence in your little mind,” Mordon said before adding, “it’s a shame though… someone with your talent and bravery, foolishness and determination shouldn’t be standing opposite to me. C’mon, we both belong to the dark world, right?”
Bloom watched that dark caped man without seeing any of his face for brief moments.
“Wrong!”
