Ocean Survival: Check In to be the Great Voyager - Chapter 40
Bick drove the raft back to the shallows. He lowered the anchor and came down to pick up the goats.
He came to the side of the goats and directly cut and broke them down, obtaining a series of resources.
[You have obtained mutton x3, goat leg x4, goat skin x1, goat horn x2, metal spear x1!]
[You have obtained mutton x3, goat leg x4, goat skin x1, goat horn x2!]
[You have obtained mutton x3, goat leg x4, goat skin x1, goat horn x2, metal spear x1!]
…
“This is amazing! A goat can actually be broken down into so many resources!”
“Moreover, a portion of the metal spear can be retrieved!”
“The spear launcher is really a wonderful hunting equipment!”
Bick exclaimed as he was busy cutting and breaking down the goats, stuffing all the resources he had obtained into his wooden backpack.
After working for almost two hours, Bick finally finished cutting and breaking down all the goats. After checking, he realized that he had gained quite a lot of supplies.
“36 mutton, 48 goat legs, 12 goat skins, and 24 goat horns. Just the food alone can last for a long time!”
Although with such exclamation, Bick still had to sell a portion of the food first because food had a degree of freshness in this survival game.
If one hoarded too much food, the food that could not be eaten would turn bad after some time.
Therefore, it was better to trade them for important supplies.
Thinking up to this point, Bick returned to the wooden raft. Picking up the God’s domain slate, he immediately opened the trade interface.
[Trade]
[Goat leg x4 trade mechanical module x1!]
[Remarks: It can be rations for two days!]
[Mutton x3 trade mana crystal x2!]
[Remarks: It can be rations for two days!]
…
Bick hung the goat leg and mutton he had on the trade interface. He thought that if he needed food, he could just go to the island and kill the remaining goats.
However, the goats were no longer near the shallows, so the spear launcher was useless.
He needed a bow and arrow!
Bick smiled and opened the principle interface. Soon, he found the manufacturing principle of the bow and arrow.
[Wooden bow: Wooden board (3/3), metal sheet (2/2), grass rope (0/1)]
[Simple crossbow: Wooden board (6/6), metal sheet (2/2), grass rope (0/1), mechanical module (2/2)]
[Armor-piercing bow: Wooden board (6/6), metal sheet (4/4), grass rope (0/2), mechanical module (4/4)]
[Assault crossbow: metal ingot (0/2), metal sheet (6/6), grass rope (0/2), mechanical module (8/8)]
…
Bick carefully looked at these weapons and his eyes gradually fell on the last option.
Assault crossbow should be a weapon that had both power and firing speed. Its range should also be good, so it was better to make it.
However, he still needed two metal ingots.
He had run out of metal ingot, so Bick had to first refine metal ingots. He put the metal ores into the furnace. And he planned to go to the shoal to look for materials that were easy to get after that.
But when he raised his head, his gaze was suddenly attracted by a large farm.
“The strawberries are ripe?”
Seeing the red strawberries, Bick almost laughed out of excitement.
Strawberries were fresh, tender, and juicy. Not only could they replenish vitamins, but they could even replenish water in the body when one was thirsty.
If he was to sell these things, wouldn’t he make a fortune!!
With this thought in mind, Bick went to the large farm and prepared to pick strawberries.
A few minutes later, the strawberries were in his hands!
[You have picked strawberry seedling!]
[You have harvested strawberries x25!]
He had harvested 25 servings of strawberries, and each serving had ten huge strawberries.
Bick took out one serving and stuffed a strawberry into his mouth. In an instant, a refreshing, sour, and sweet taste hit his taste buds. Coupled with the cold texture, it was simply wonderful.
In less than ten minutes, Bick had eaten two servings of strawberries. He even called Einstein over to try them out with him.
The little guy still ate one tentatively at first. Later, he couldn’t stop after he found that the strawberries were even more delicious than bananas.
Seeing that he had eaten until his stomach was full, Bick said to Einstein, “There will be more in the future. Don’t be too full!”
Einstein nodded reluctantly. He was a little wobbly when he walked, as he was quite full.
Although strawberries were delicious, they were harder to store than bananas. Therefore, Bick only kept six servings, and sold the remaining nineteen servings.
[Strawberries trade machine module!]
Bick realized that the core materials he needed would be machine module and mana crystal in the future, so he would usually trade for these two materials when he was trading.
Closing the trading interface, Bick looked at the furnace and found that the metal ingot had been refined.
[You have obtained metal ingot!]
Bick put away the metal ingot and added three more metal ores to the furnace for next refinement.
As Bick had nothing else to do now, he decided to increase the speed of the raft by building two more raft thrusters.
The first step was to build low-speed engines, propellers, and iron nails.
After about ten minutes, all the items were made.
He opened the schematic diagram of the raft thruster and checked it.
[Raft thruster: Low-speed engine (1/1), mechanical module (5/5), propeller (1/1), wooden board (4/4), metal sheet (4/4), iron nails (4/4)]
“It’s all here!”
“Start making!”
Bick came to the back of the raft. After a moment, he built a raft thruster on both sides of the original raft thruster.
Then, he activated the first raft thruster.
Buzz buzz buzz buzz…
As the propeller turned, the raft began to accelerate slowly. When Bick turned on the second raft thruster, the speed increased by a notch.
When the three thrusters worked at the same time, the speed of navigation had already exceeded the speed of Bick using the magic alloy paddle.
Of course, there was a price to pay. Just the three raft thrusters alone had consumed 21 of Bick’s mechanical modules.
Using the magic alloy paddle to correct the direction, Bick drove the raft back to the side of the shoal. Suddenly, he realized a problem.
“That’s right!”
“Why should I correct the direction with the magic alloy paddle?”
“Shouldn’t I install a rudder?”
Bick finally realized that he had forgotten to install a rudder for the raft. He smiled bitterly and quickly opened the God’s domain slate to take a look.
[Simple rudder: Wood board (4/4), mechanical module (3/3), iron nails (0/2)]
[Efficient rudder: Wooden board (6/6), metal ingot (1/1), mechanical module (5/5), iron nail (0/4)]
[Advanced combination rudder: Wooden board (12/12), metal ingot (0/3), mechanical module (12/12), iron nail (0/8)]
