Office Diaries - Chapter 100
The fire crackled at the hearth, its crimson blaze along with the faint moonlight peeping from the other side of the heavily draped window illuminated the otherwise darkened room. A huge wingback chair sat next to it and in it rested a man.
The tall, well-built body lay relaxed in the confines of the huge seat, his long, long legs clothed with tight pants which material clung to him like second skin placed on top of another chair across him. His usually pristine shirt now in disarray, unbuttoned in the middle exposing the muscled ċhėst, its sleeves rolled up above his elbow, showing powerful biceps as his hand lay on top of the armrest.
A sweaty glass of wine rested in his hand with ice clinking within, melding with the amber liquid as it melted. His head leaned towards his right, his chin supported by his hand as he rested his elbow against the cushioned armrest.
The man had his eyes closed as he tried to unwind. Today had been a long day, and like most days, it was difficult as well as painful. For a long time now, he had been dragging himself to work, forcing himself to function well in spite of the raging emotions in his ċhėst.
His brain which was acknowledged for its brilliance had been screaming inside, urging him to stop torturing himself and give up, whereas his heart refused to do so.
He just couldn’t let go. He just couldn’t. Even if he continued to hurt, he would never ever give up.
The ringing of the phone cut through his train of thoughts and he sighed heavily as he shifted on the seat to pick it up.
“What?” he barked on the receiver without bothering to know who the caller was. There was only one person who would dare call him at home at this time of the day anyway.
“Well, hello to you too,” the caller retorted sarcastically and the man sighed again as he placed the glass on the table and used his long fingers to rake his hair as he leaned back into the chair. Damn, but he was tired.
“What do you want?”
“You mean aside from a new car and a beachfront property?” the caller countered innocently and the man scowled.
“I think you were born with the wrong body parts. For a moment there you sounded like a bitch,” he snapped at the caller, and the caller guffawed.
“You’re such an old man cousin,” the caller said. “I was merely showing my special affection,” he added and the man rolled his eyes heavenwards in exasperation.
“Charles Wong, if you don’t stop bullshitting me I’m gonna rip your ȧss apart,” the man seethed with a warning but his cousin only laughed. He was after all immune to the Chen.
“I’m deeply hurt. Is this how you treat your favorite cousin?”
“Charles, you’re my only cousin. I didn’t have a choice,” Michael deadpanned, reminding the other man of that unfortunate tidbit, and his cousin’s laughter rang more.
“Okay, call me again when you’re coherent,” he added as he placed the receiver back on its cradle without warning. However, it only took a few seconds before it rang again and Michael picked it up. “What?”
“Ya Chen! Don’t you ‘what’ me. I specifically took the initiative to call you personally to bear good news and here you are being mean.” Charles’s voice sounded totally aggrieved.
“What news?”
“Say ‘pretty please’,” Charles replied and Michael snorted.
“Goodbye,” he said as he was about to drop the call once more but stopped when his cousin decided to be amicable.
“Aqua wants Ria!”
For a moment, Michael stood still as he tried to absorb his cousin’s words. “That’s already a given. Didn’t they sign the contract with us?”
“Yes, but I’m talking about a longer contract here. They won’t be looking for another company for their next ads. They will let Ria handle them.”
“That’s good,” he answered as he heard a rustling sound from the far side of the room and he frowned. Someone was standing there, looking at him with inviting eyes and he swallowed.
“So, should I tell him that or should you do the honors?” Charles asked but Michael’s mind was already elsewhere.
“Do anything you want,” he snapped as he looked at the love of his life with tender eyes. “Charles, I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” he said softly on the phone. “My wife… my wife is calling me…”
=====
In Ria’s room, her sinful fantasies resumed…
Sinewy arms pulled her close and her head rested against a hard ċhėst. Hot breath fanned against her flushed skin making her hotter and needier.
“Ooooh…” The cry escaped her lips as her legs trembled. Her hands clawed the back of the man and she found herself being kissed as a huge shaft penetrated her deeply within her softened sėx.
The sharp pain made her stiffen and open her eyes which were heavy with sleep but she only saw the silhouette of her dream lover. She tried to push the man on top of her away as the huge shaft entered her to the brink.
“Nnooo…”
Strong hands stopped hers and the lips which had been hungrily kissing her turned to her ear.
“Shhhh… be still, my love. Everything will be alright,” a soft voice crooned as a hand ċȧrėssed her lips, down to the skin of her throat, to her erect nɨppŀės down to her stomach. The hand then traveled to her thɨġhs and then consequently clamping on her own arousal, the sėnsɨtɨvė nub below which made her close her eyes in delicious torment.
With the white-hot, blinding pŀėȧsurė ȧssailing her, she let herself get lost in the waves of pŀėȧsurė. All through the night, Ria had indulged with her dream lover until she couldn’t take it anymore.
A few hours after, the rays of sunlight filled the room and she slowly opened her eyes. The unfamiliar sight of his surroundings made her jerk awake. She sat up suddenly only to fall back on the bed as a slicing pain on her lower limbs ȧssailed her.
Eh? Not bothering as to why she felt deliciously heavy, her pair of huge doe eyes scanned her surroundings as she tried to absorb why she was there.
The room was huge and the furniture all looked like that from a magazine about rich people’s houses. Even the king-sized bed where she was at the moment was enormous and the covers were all made of satin.
Realizing this, memories came flooding back and she suddenly felt relief washing over her. Of course, she was in a strange place! This wasn’t her house. This was the company’s luxury mansion.
“This isn’t Korea. This isn’t Korea,” she recited in her mind as she cupped her face, trying to clear her head.
There was a throbbing pain on her temple and she pulled herself up and marched towards the medicine cabinet and lugged down some painkillers, a necessity after a night’s drinking binge with Dylan. Afterwards, she washed her face and started brushing her teeth.
The only mar on her feature was the small jagged scar from an accident she couldn’t remember, but aside from that, she was flawless.
This was how she started every day. Glancing at the clock told her that it was seven in the morning. She only had an hour and a half to get ready before the company car picked her up.
As she took a bath, memories from her dream the previous night came rushing back to her and her face heated up.
Last night…
Last night had been wonderful. Working closely with the president, seeing him and being with him every day, her yearning for the man grew.
Being able to see his face up close, being exposed to his manly scent made her image of him in her mind more vivid. It was very easy for him now to conjure Michael Chen in her mind whenever she wished.
Sadly, her dėsɨrė for the man grew and she began to feel greedy. Before, it was enough for her to see him even if it was from afar.
Now, however…
Ria frowned as she stepped out of the bathroom with her hands continuing to towel herself dry. She glanced at the rumpled sheets of her huge bed and sighed heavily as she marched closer to it. She might have servants but she wouldn’t want them to see her bed like this. Most especially, she didn’t want them to see the thing that was hiding under her pillow.
Like a scolded child, she stepped near the thing and scooped it up. In her disgust, it was sticky, obviously been used the night before.
Ah…I really bought it, she thought as she sighed.
Last night she had too much to drink and remembered herself impulsively making a bet with Dy that she lost and ended up buying a vibrator. The giggling sales clerk gave her a pink one and promised that she’d have a great time with it which she apparently had judging from the sharp pain in that place.
She’d really turned into a wanton, she thought as she ġrȯȧnėd. She didn’t think she’d ever use it. “I’m gonna kill you Dylan Ng…”
As she dressed herself up and marched towards the dining room where her breakfast was waiting, she scolded herself over and over again. Her obsession with her boss was becoming unhealthy.
But it wasn’t my fault…
She pouted as she ate her toast and drank her tea. She was just human— a human with a heart who happened to beat for someone who could never be hers.
