Omni-Mastery - Chapter 502: Another Trump Card! Full Dragonization!
From the very start, it looked like the Dragon Clan Leader was planning to stand at the very front of the battlefield, ready to sacrifice himself and his clan to eliminate the threat of the Demons and Corrupted. Since his actions had unknowingly accelerated their advent, he believed that this was the price he had to pay.
‘This is not how this plan works.’
However, I naturally couldn’t let such a thing happen after deciding to bet everything myself. If my plan were to work, then the combatants on our side had to be assigned in a thoughtful manner!
The only right choice was to have him remain behind, overseeing the stronghold in case someone slipped in through the air or if we were pushed back before we could even resist. Still, the main purpose of that was for him to act whenever he deemed it necessary to intervene.
“I will handle the additional threat, just focus on protecting Azure!”
As someone who analyzed everything from every angle, leaving it for the Dragon Clan Leader’s discretion was too much of a variable. Even then, controlling everything like a chessboard didn’t always give the best results. Just like I learned how beneficial the taste of despair could be, I also retracted my hand from a part of the board to see how things would play out.
“Out of the way, persistent Dragonling. Your fate has already been sealed, any further resistance is futile in the face of our sacred race. Just accept reality and become one of our underlings!”
“That’s not for you to decide. Even if I just waste my life through this attempt, it’s a hundred times better than becoming one of the lifeless puppets that you are controlling.”
“Fine, I was thinking of pleading for you and your lizards’ sake so that you would keep your puny lives, but since you only seem to desire death, I will grant your wish!”
Expectedly enough, the not so risky bet had paid off. I was prepared to improvise on the spot and hope to save what I could if there was no other choice, but the Dragon Clan Leader faithfully played his role as my sport!
“Meow!”
The hulking demon resemblant of a strengthened version of the Demon General that I fought in the base wasn’t actually spouting nonsense. Although they appeared to be on the losing side, the Demons had the overwhelming advantage to begin with. The decreasing number of ‘shields’ downgraded that advantage, but that was it.
The Demons that would have absolutely obliterated them now needed to put in some effort in order to really crush them. My Vegetation Field seemed like a big deal, but it was only capable of delaying the inevitable.
“Useless cat!”
The delayed flying demon wasn’t as easy to handle as the last opponent. Not only did Light barely land any attack on it, but he had received a few scratches himself.
However, Light made sure of one thing, to keep me safe from any distractions! Using his phenomenal movement speed, he could easily react to anything including aerial attacks. With the hulking Demon off his back, this could be considered a piece of cake.
“They warned us of variables like these, but both of you are just as annoying!”
As leaders of their own bases, the two demons had the knowledge needed to deduce my identity. Starting with my interference during the last war and my prompt meeting with the ‘Kidnapper’, hiding under different identities wasn’t that effective as long as we had enough interactions. The banner that I decided to pick up in my war against them was like a shining beacon that directly pointed at me.
‘My presence is no longer something I can hide.’
It wasn’t like I could give up the choice that I repeatedly made. The only logical option was to push back the demon. Even if I couldn’t do it stealthily, I still had to do it!
‘It’s about time.’
Sensing my elemental pool on the verge of drying up, I looked at the potion bottle before turning to the green battlefield. The vines were already losing their effectiveness as the demons started to get used to them, but I had already squeezed the most usefulness out of them at this point.
[ You have absorbed… ]
[ You have absorbed… ]
[ You have absorbed… ]
Gulp…
[ You have leveled up! ]
[ You have reached level 130! ]
As I downed down the last shot of the potion, the EP bar that I had been watching on the side had become full one more time, allowing me to finish my preparations for the next decisive step!
‘Let’s go all-in.’
[ Agility +1.91 ]
Starting with the stat that I had already boosted earlier, I started investing everything that I had saved to this moment. It always felt the best when one suddenly splurged after a long period of frugality!
[ Strength +5.13 ]
[ Constitution +6.09 ]
[ Dexterity +4.3 ]
In order to utilize the full potential of my one last hidden move, I had to push my current body to the limits of what I was capable of achieving! Even a stat like Dexterity that was starting to lose its purpose was necessary for it. It was a needy trump card, but I was more confident in its result compared to my first one. After all…
[ ‘Full Dragonization’ has been activated… ]
This was something that I had already tried once before!
The regenerated dragon scales that were already covering my body started to grow larger as I relived the experience that I tried in a hurry last time. With my hands parting from the ground and the supply line being cut, the lively vines immediately started getting slower and weaker, but that was the last of my worries at the moment.
“Look! What is…”
While the process might have felt slow for me as I sensed everything to the last detail, everyone on the battlefield witnessed my instant gigantification! This was merely the start of my second experience, but time was already running out…
