One night with the King - Chapter 109:110. Trapped
Dante stared at her with crossed eyes. “We can’t do that Lora. We are already here. Believe me I will protect you.”
Even as he spoke Dante still felt the fear Lora was feeling. Something was wrong he could tell but like he said, he was already here. For the first time today there was the hope that he could see his daughter again. He could not afford to go back now.
“Something is just not right?” Lora. insisted. She touched Jennie slightly but Jennie seemed to be so focussed in following the witch. It was as if she had been hypnotized.
“Jennie_” Lora whispered, Jennie still did not acknowledge her but Jeremy did.
Jeremy was about to speak when they finally got to the chosen room.
Jessica turned around and smiled at them before she pushed the door open.
It wasn’t a room like she had told them it was. It was an old cabin. They were only cages in it and the walls were made of some strange stones.
There was a fire place at the far end of the cabin which served to illuminate it. The cabin was cold, so cold and the fire so dim. The chimney looked like it had been pulled out from a separate cabin.
The feeling of Dejavu hit Jeremy all at once, he no longer cared to Keep his fear subtle. “Alright I think we should go now!” He shouted but it was already too late.
In that moment thunder struck the house and lightning continued to rip the sky.
Jennie involuntarily moved closer to Dante for protection. He held her hands and pressed them reassuringly.
In that instant Jessica turned back to her true self_she was already bored with the woman whose body she had claimed. Her ebony skin shone beautifully in her red gown.
A staff appeared in her hands and she smirked at them. The color of her eyes were now the color of crimson, as red as blood.
“Who are you?” Dante asked.
“Jessica don’t. Please.” Jeremy interjected.
Jessica said nothing_she maintained her devilish smile, her eyes were focused on them as they withdrew in fear.
A voice caused Dante to shudder in fear.
“Papa.” Gloria whispered.
They all heard her voice and immediately looked towards the place it came from.
Gloria was in a cage with two other men. She was holding onto the iron binds which helped her to remain standing.
One of the men was sprawled on the ground and the other stood by Gloria’s side trying to calm her down.
“My princess.” Dante cried out. He tried running to her but he found that he could not move an inch. It was as if he had been paralyzed down to his toenails.
Tears freely flowed down his cheeks on seeing his daughter in such a pitiable condition.
“The family reunion can come later but for now You will all serve me one way or another or else you shall die a very quick death.”
“Over my dead body.” Lora spat. She was seething. The woman before her was plain evil. How could she lock up a pregnant woman. “I will never serve you!”
Jessica smiled sadly. “What a shame. I liked you already.”
Lora wasn’t given time to process what Jessica’s words meant. She immediately started feeling as if all the blood in her body was being drained away by a supernatural force.
Her eyes started to bleed even her nose and ears.
