One Piece: Gambling To The Top - Chapter 174
It was something common that the most powerful and the bad-ass pirates would make a cool entrance in their way to Impel Down, the most secured prison where their hopes of freedom die.
Jack Sparrow, however, gave another impression.
In the 4 hours that they spent taking him to Impel Down, he has done one thing.
He was singing.
Hina was at her deck, hearing his voice. The cigarettes she had thought would be enough for the rest of the day made her reconsider her calculation.
“It’s tearing my heart when I’m with you~” Came Sparrow’s voice.
(NSYNC: Tearin’ Up My Heart)
Hina put her head between her hands. Everyone knows her as the calm collective captain, and some singing shouldn’t get into her. However…
“But when we are apart, I feel it too!”
He had been singing the same song for 4 hours, straight.
It’s extremely annoying and ignoring it doesn’t seem to work.
“And no matter what I do~ I feel the pain, with or without you!”
Fullbody and Jango, the two officers that had been with her and had always been complimenting her, seemed to get emotional, which annoyed Hina more and more.
What’s worse, the two officers started singing with Sparrow while looking at Hina, as if that song was representing their feelings. For real, can’t they just see that she’s not interested in them? It seems that Sparrow is here to ruin her life.
“Baby I don’t understand, just why can’t we be lovers ~! Things are getting out of hand, trying too much, but babe we can win.”
Jango and Fullbody stood on her side.
“Let it go~ if you want me girl let me know~ I am down on my knees,” Fullbody and Jango got on their knees.
Hina slammed her hands on the table.”Hina can’t take it anymore.”
” I can’t take it anymore~” sang Sparrow and some marines.
When they noticed how they and Hina said the same line, Fullbody and Jango smiled, hearts appearing in their eyes, before Hina kicked them flying to the wall.
Hina bolted out of her cabin, angry before reaching the sea.
“And no matter what I do —”
“Shut the hell up! Hina will come down to kick your ass.” Hina yelled.
“Show me your boobs, babe, and I will keep my mouth shut for you” Yelled the pirate from his jail.
“Don’t you have dignity, 4 hours and the same song!” Hina yelled. If yelling doesn’t shut him up, shaming should. “Real pirates are supposed to have better songs!”
“I guess you are right. It’s quite old,” yelled Sparrow back. “Time to move forward in time.”
Silence took over the ship for 5 minutes.
Hina was confused. Did it work? She expected that he would yell angrily at her, which would provoke her marines to shut him up.
“Hina is finally relaxed.” Hina exhaled a cloud of smoke.
“You are~ my fire~” started singing Sparrow.
Hina blinked twice. She couldn’t believe it. What’s worse, the other marines started singing with him.
Hina lowered her head, holding her urge to cry. ‘I should’ve cuffed his mouth.’

Josh was staring at the marines surrounding his cabin. He was chained, but his mind was free. His mouth was free.
The marines seemed to forget their grudge, enjoying their time with a pirate.
He also had given Fullbody and Jango a list of songs to win Hina.
“Sparrow!” said Fullbody. “Like I have testified for Jango to become a good marine, I will testify for you.”
“Yes, Aniki. I was a pirate too. But Hina Chan took me and Fullbody assured the judge I can be a good marine.” Jango was a previous pirate. “If you are willing to become a good marine and repent, I’m sure they will be willing to let you go.”
The marines thought of testifying for Jack Sparrow since he made them enjoy their time.
Jack Sparrow had won their hearts. For a world that lacks entertainment, where you can only have fun by fighting as a pirate or a marine, the playlist he offered to them was priceless.
(A/N: Remember guys, in old times, poets had a very high social status and respect. Most men were willing to throw themselves to death, only to live in their poems forever, whether as an honourable warrior or a romantic lover. It’s biological ideal, I think, for us to seek entertainment and pleasure.)
“It’s okay, just hand me some tea.”
“How are you going to drink I?” Said a marine after he put the teacup on the ground.
Sparrow hit the ground with his legs. The cup flew and flipped, before landing between his hands. He put it on the shackles on his hands, and he started sipping.
“Nice one,” Sparrow said.
The marines were wondering what the hell with this pirate. He had made one of the biggest rubbing operations in one day, and he had handed himself. He had never hurt anyone, and he is enjoying his time on their way to Impel Down. Could it be possible that he stole money because he had no choice, and now he is going to spend the rest of his life in jail? It looks like a noble story. Some people are asking where the good men are. Well, they are going to jail.
“Sing guys… ” Josh said, sipping.
The guys started singing.
“Making my way downtown! walking fast! faces pass! and I’m homebound!”
Josh was unaware that in the future, his hits would spread in the world, gaining a huge amount of money for these marines.
Of course, they will become full-time singers after Hina kicks them out of her crew, as they will make the image of Jack Sparrow hunt her.
Hina soon got a report to make her way to Marineford after tossing Sparrow in Impel Down.
The marines didn’t have time to make him a trial. But he has enough money that they can’t ignore him until they are done with Whitebeard.
The ship finally rived at Impel Down when the sun was about to set. The marines lifted Jack Sparrow as the large gates of Impel Downs were opened. The gates were huge that they can make giants look small.
The battleship landed on the seaport. Josh would depart from the marines here. As he was leaving, Josh found that Hina was standing at the end. He smiled at her, but she didn’t smile back.
“Jack Sparrow.” She growled in his name. She had been enduring hearing someone singing nonstop, and he had ruined her crew.
“First, It’s Captain Jack Sparrow. Second. I didn’t ruin your crew. I’m a straight man. ” Sparrow said. “Stop ruining my reputation.”
Hina opened her eyes widely. Did he just read her thoughts? She was just thinking that he had ruined her good crew.
‘Can he read me…’ Hina’s eyelids shook as she stared at his face. No, it must be luck.
“Yes, babe. Lastly…. Lemme think. Oh, right.” Sparrow winked at her and said. “I ruined you, babe.”
Hina felt provoked. He is treating her like an open book, and he is teasing her.
“This is the last sight you see when you are down there for eternity.” Hina frowned, decided to revenge on Sparrow, whom she would never see again. She put her hands on her snow-white cleavage, showing more of it, and she gave a gentle squeeze. Sparrow looked at her, and deep inside, he had to admit, she is too hot for a marine.
“You won’t see such a thing like this, never again!” Hina said, walking to the side as two large marines held Sparrow’s shoulder, taking him down the ship.
“But you will never forget me.” Sparrow lifted his head and walked down the stairs. “Or my words.”
“Boys, Hit It…” he said as two guards from Impel Down came to take him.
The marines were afraid of their captain.
But some couldn’t just take the song out of their head.
The marines started singing. “Tearing up my heart when I’m with you, but when we are apart…”
Hina scoffed at him as the staff of Impel Down took him away. Hearing the voice of the marines, she realised. ‘He won.’
Josh then was taken to Impel Down, entering the huge building.
“Remember Hina,” Jack Sparrow sound echoed. Her crew looked at him, not trying to show any emotion. “This is the day you almost got into a relationship, with Jack Sparrow.”
“It’s Captain.” Corrected a marine.
Hina turned and glared at that marine with her teeth clenched.
The staff held him from his arms and took him deep inside the big prison.
Josh was thinking. ‘Step Two, done. Until the next morning, I have to save Ace, let’s see where this is going.’
[Ding: System has a new gamble for you. Do you accept? (y/n)]
Josh smiled when he heard the notification. ‘I was waiting for this. The thrill. Geez, I was starting to get tired from acting like someone else. ‘
