On an isolated island next to Marineford, the boat that held Josh and Akainu stopped at the beach.
Josh yawned as he looked at Akainu, holding his feelings from coming to the surface.
This dog was someone who had been targeting him. Someone who had taken his sword. Someone who had taken his honour… there is a chance that Josh had it.
But whatever. All of this is going to end. And when a man sees an enemy that he wanted to beat, it’s hard to contain the desire. Josh guessed that Akainu is feeling the same since he had invited him to this isolated place.
“We have a guest, don’t we?” Josh said as he jumped off the boat, turning his head in the sky’s direction.
“He’ll just be there to watch.” Akainu scoffed as he stared in the same direction.
Doflamingo was standing in the middle of the air, away from them and looking at Josh and Akainu.
Josh’s eyelids shook a bit when he read what’s in Doflamingo’s mind.
‘The Five Elders had planned to ambush me after the Marineford war. Doflamingo is to take advantage of my supposed weak state and kill me.’
Akainu stared at Doflamingo and said. “Blame yourself if you get caught in the middle and die.”
Doflamingo chuckled as he adjusted his sunglasses, acting as a watcher.
A Bottle of alcohol appeared in Josh’s hand.
“So, you said you have my sword?” Josh said as he opened the bottle, staring at Akainu. “Wonder why you didn’t admit it the last time.”
“Let’s cut the bullshit.” Akainu said, patting his chest.
Akainu had few scars and burn marks that had been reminding him each day of what Josh had done to him.
“It’s time for you to die!” Akainu took a step forward, a very quick one. His fist turned into a giant magma fist as it busted in Josh’s direction.
Seeing this, Josh jumped backwards and flipped in the air, his face was a few centimetres above the magma that went past him.
Landing on his feet 20 meters away from Akainu, Josh raised the alcohol bottle.
Behind him, the magma made a great explosion, heat spreading across the place.
“Hey, what kind of party is this!” he shouted after his feet touched the ground. “You don’t start fireworks before the drinks. Sheer.”
Akainu’s face made one of the most appreciated facial expressions in the world as he frowned. Any One Piece fan, even if he hates Akainu, loves that frown.
“Let’s settle this, my way.”
Josh put the bottleneck on his mouth and started drinking fast.
Seeing that Josh is drinking on this sunny day while facing death, Akainu couldn’t help but feel angry. He was more pissed off on himself as it had reminded Akainu that he had been tricked many times by this idiot criminal and his idiot behaviour.
Josh lowered the bottle and swept his mouth, before staring at Akainu.
“Acting like a calm person doesn’t make you a one, Akainu, neither acting carefree make you stupid. Children are more deceiving than you think.”
Akainu furrowed his eyebrows. He was thinking if Josh did read his mind. No, it can’t be. It may just be obvious on his face.
Josh took his sword from his back, and he extended his hand toward Akainu as if he asked him to stop temporarily.
“Are you taking this for a joke?” Akainu asked, and he was boiling from inside.
“Joke. You have no idea how much I’ve waited for this moment.” Josh took off his coat, and with a wave from his hand, it vanished to thin air. “I was thinking of giving you another day to live, dog since the war didn’t happen. But, Alas, I can’t resist my urge to kick you.”
The alcohol made Josh more emotional. The stronger his emotions get, the Berserk Constitution would be active. Alcohol brings bad memories, and those bring more emotions.
Josh wasn’t stupid to drink in a battle for no reason.
“So…” Akainu seemed to realise one thing. He half-closed his eyes. “You have done something to Impel Down, haven’t you.”
Josh furrowed his eyebrows. Waving his free hand, he sent the alcohol bottle flying. Akainu held it with his hand and broke it.
“Stop barking. I have to repay you.” Josh said, pointing with his great sword toward Akainu.
“Humph.” Reaching with his hand slowly to his back, Akainu’s hand wrapped the grip of the Katana that originally belonged to Akainu. “This sword would be a clean tool of justice after you die.”
The blade of the Katana became red. The air around it turned into white mist. Drawing it quickly, red sword rays flew toward Josh. Those rays seemed to burn everything that they passes by. Not only they were sharp but as hot as magma. Josh could sense that with his Observation Haki, and he could tell that he shouldn’t try to parry it, not in his human form.
Josh smirked, the Devil’s pattern’s eyes turned red. As pitch black mist covered the blade of the Great Devil Sword, Josh rolled his sword, creating a circle. Once the sword energy and the circle met, the heat was turned off.
“You surely grew strong, in a very short while above that.” Akainu’s aura changed as growled at Josh.
“Humph.” Josh stabbed with his sword to the ground. A faint mirage image of himself, holding the same Katana that Akainu was holding, appeared standing next to him.
“You think that would be enough for me.” Seeming to get annoyed, Akainu kicked with his heels on the ground. The earth cracked in Josh’s direction, and from those cracks, magma splashed, creating a huge pillar that reached the air.
Jumping back slightly, Josh dodged the pillar, with his face almost getting hit by it. But it wasn’t over. One of the Logia users powers aren’t just using their element to attack, but they can control it.
Lifting his head, Josh saw how the magma formed a dog’s head. Being next to it felt really hot, and that his face would melt. The darkness surrounding his sword, Josh raised it and slashed with the blade, vertically. The pillar was cut in half, and the magma fell down, cooling down as fast as possible.
At that instant, from the slit in the magma, Akainu’s figure appeared, surrounded by hot magma. Josh twisted his wrist and waved his sword vertically, meeting with the red blade of the Katana.
Akainu frowned, and Josh smirked.
Since Akainu had stopped his attack, the doppelganger, his fighting spirit AKA All or Nothing, managed to slash him from behind.
Akainu didn’t seem to be affected by it. The moment the doppelganger slashed him, Akainu changed the nature of his body and reshaped it to dodge the slash.
“You only stopped it because I didn’t attack seriously.” Josh mocked Akainu as he pushed.
Akainu’s strength was great. But with the money Josh had accumulated, his power was great too. Not to mention, he has yet to use his Devil Fruit that increases his speed and power. Now that he had awakened the Devil Fruit and mastered all of the attributes, the increase was more than 10 times.
“Die!” Akainu screamed. Explosion sound could be heard, but it didn’t come from any place other than the Admiral’s body.
