One Piece: Gambling To The Top - Chapter 188
The admirals didn’t know what’s going on as they stood in different directions, looking at the centre of the island that had been sliced in half.
Josh, the one who beat and caused Akainu to lose his legs, was standing in the middle.
His eyes were red, and his facial expression was Innocent… but filled with anger. He had just licked the blood off the Katana, which came from stabbing himself.
For the admirals who had fought pirates their whole lives, this was the edgiest scene they have ever seen.
The man was out of his mind.
“This may come to our advantage. Akainu, can you pour some magma…” Kizaru, who was standing on a frozen hill, said.
Well, even admirals know that power isn’t everything always. But Kizaru felt he has to admit. Josh had shown great physical power.
“I’ll try,” Akainu said, before coughing twice. “I can at least use the rest of my body for absolute justice.”
“Come on!”
Josh raised both of his swords, and he yelled.
*Spsh* *Spsh*
Sharp spears of ice headed toward Josh from behind. The spikes seemed to be so sharp that they can pierce him, and they were supported by Armament Haki.
Although Berserk mod can take Josh out of his observation, it raises his senses, and allow him to fight using only his instinct, the one he had developed in the battle.
*Swish*
Josh appeared behind the huge line of ice spears.
Compressed air blades appeared on the ice the moment Josh made an appearance, and the ice spears collapsed on the ground.
Josh didn’t stop and dashed forward. Ice spread from the ground, and it tried to freeze around his legs. Unlucky for the iceman, Josh jumped slightly and kicked on the air behind him, creating a sonic bomb with each step as he headed at one spot that was on a frozen rock.
Crossing his swords, he waved them on X shape. Shreds of ice moved swiftly above Josh.
As Josh was done from his moment, the X mark spread from the rock, and it spread a part of this island.
Instantly, Aokiji appeared above him, and he flipped, kicking toward his face with a frozen leg.
Josh tilted his head and flipped while jumping, raising both of the swords and slamming down. The experienced Admiral raised both of his hands, clashing with the wrists of Josh. Aokiji was pinned to the ground from the power of the momentum. Cracks spread from his legs. As his eyes met with the red eyes of the berserk, Aokiji smirked and turned into ice shreds that appeared five meters behind and reformed him.
Josh looked at his arms, and they were frozen.
“It’s over for you.” Aokiji vanished and extended his palm, taking this chance to end up Josh and freeze him for good since he can’t use his hands.
Josh, out of instinct, tilted his head, squatted, dodging that hand. Aokiji was about to move, but Josh used a very huge raw power to jump toward him.
Josh’s head clashed with Aokiji’s, hitting him on the chin, and sending him flying to the sky, a hundred meters high. Josh laughed as he looked up at Aokiji. He jogged in his place as he clenched his arms, ready to use his frozen arms to cut him.
But at that moment, a beam of light-headed toward him. Josh flipped in the air and used the blades, reflecting the beam. Orbs of light formed behind him, forming Kizaru who gave him a round kick on his leg. The kick was at the speed of light. Josh, who wasn’t able to see the future, couldn’t predict this and got the kick.
Kizaru lifted his head. Josh, instead of falling, pushed himself along the momentum and flipped thousands of times in less than a second, and he kicked toward Kizaru. Kizaru managed to dodge depending on his speed, avoiding a huge sharp air blade that left Josh’s leg.
Kizaru joined his hands together, and from his fingers, balls of light started piercing Josh’s body from behind.
Josh opened his eyes widely. Each light beam pierced him, and he coughed blood. He slowly turned to Kizaru, clenching his teeth.
Kizaru stood up and patted his sunglasses, looking at the holes in Josh’s body.
Kizaru lifted his legs slowly. “Gambler san. You were really a scary one. But this is your end.”
Kizaru’s foot turned into a light beam before hitting Josh on the head.
*Boom*
Kizaru opened his eyes widely when he saw that Josh didn’t move an inch.
Not only so, but the holes in his body were closed.
“Grrr!” Josh seemed to lose the ability to speak. His muscles got bigger, and before Kizaru could say a word, Josh opened his mouth, and he bites on Kizaru’s leg.
Kizaru flinched in pain as the bite was strong. But for an admiral, experience is the same as strength.
As Josh took a bite, Kizaru furrowed his eyebrows, and a beam of light left his leg, entering Josh’s mouth and leaving through the back of his head.
Josh fell on his kneed, a part of Kizaru’s leg in his mouth as he spat it.
Josh seemed to be in a daze as he was trying to heal.
Growling again, josh was about to stand up.
“Now!” Kizaru yelled.
The ground under Josh turned into magma, and Josh sank slowly. Before he could jump and scream, Aokiji appeared from the ground, and put his hand on Josh’s shoulder, freezing him.
“The finally,” Aokiji said. Warriors in Josh’s calibre can break the ice after a couple of seconds.
Kizaru, bending over, clenched his fist that was covered in shiny light. After punching the ice statue, Josh’s body turned into ice shreds that broke and fell on the ground.
“You two are lucky that he lost his mind.” Said a voice. “Otherwise, he would have destroyed you along this island.”
Kizaru and Aokiji turned to see a lump of magma crawling toward them. The magma then formed Akainu, who was sitting on his butt, not having his legs.
Aokiji rubbed his wrists. “He made my bones crack… Geez. That man is at Garp level of strength and Mihawk swordsmanship.”
“You have no idea. That demon came from hell… You are lucky you didn’t see his face.”
“Oy Akainu. You know that its Zoan.”
“It’s not Zoan,” Akainu said. “He is a real demon who came from the hell… we should report to the headquarter.”
Meanwhile, while the admirals were talking, they didn’t notice one thing.
On Josh’s chest, there was a golden faint light.
Josh, who just died, was seeing nothing but darkness. In the middle of the darkness, there was a screen.
[Do you want to use Golden Orb to resurrect. (Y/N)]
He has three of them. Now that Josh is dead, he regained his sanity.
‘Geez. I didn’t put into the calculation that I will lose my brain. Also, those fuckers. They ganged up on me… I’ll show them what’s like when I have my brain.’
Hell to the yes, Josh chose.
“Now, we should take you to treat your wounds,” Aokiji said as he looked at Akainu.
“Tsk. I’m fine.”
“Stop playing tough, Sakazuki.”
As Kizaru spoke, the rest of the admirals flinched.
“No way…” Akainu muttered as Kizaru jumped and Aokiji turned his head.
In front of them, Josh, in his demon form, appeared. He was sheathing the Katana slowly.
A stream of light arrays appeared, surrounding them.
“You should be dead…!” even the calmest man, Kizaru, was shocked.
*Cling*
As the demon finished sheathing his sword, Akainu’s body started sliding as cut marks appeared on him. Akainu body turned into parts that flew everywhere.
Kizaru turned his head, and he opened his eyes widely.
“Sakazuki!” Aokiji yelled as he run toward Akainu, holding the upper half that contained his head.
Akainu looked at the sky. “So, it’s the end.” He said with a weak voice. “It seems that my struggle with Justice is over. I can finally rest.”
Aokiji clenched his fists, staring at his fellow admiral.
Akainu chuckled. “Death is not painful at all, do you believe…”
“You can’t die!”
“I’ll leave the justice for you.” Akainu held Aokiji’s hand and said his last words.
Aokiji froze Akainu, before standing up and turning to the demon.
Josh turned to face them. Kizaru and Aokiji had angry and hostile gazes in their eyes.
Josh smirked. “Why no one was angry that I died.”
“Good that you can come back from death.” Kizaru reached for his glasses, and he took them down. “I guess I have to kill you as much as you can.”
Josh shook his hands, mocking, saying slowly. “Scarry, soo Scarry!”
