One Piece: Luffy’s Big Brother. - Chapter 103
…
Somewhere far far away…
Floating in the void, a seemingly sleeping figure was floating about, roaming in space like a dead ghost, rapidly passing by various planes before crashing somewhere on an unknown planet.
It had crashed down in a rock environment.
Minutes then hours then days passed by without the person waking up, completely unconscious.
…
*An eternity later*
“Hmm? What is that? Are you playing too?”
A childish and naive voice rang out.
The voice came from a very short and small child-like humanoid creature. It had a rather large oval-shaped head and sky blue skin, except for two sections from his ears to the middle of each eye on both sides of his head, which are purple, and lastly he had small round eyes.
Small round eyes that didn’t hold great interest in life but were currently in a very good mood now.
Anyway, the small blue-purple guy made some very cute steps and approached the ‘corpse’ and watched it with great interest in its blank eyes.
The said corpse was gleaming faint blood-red wisp energy and was severely injured.
“Hello! Someone’s there?”
*pat pat pat*
The blue little child crouched down and repeatedly patted the stranger’s pale cheeks. It was interesting to note that every time the child would pat his cheeks, the energy covering the dead man would just disappear in contact with the bluish child.
“Hum, it doesn’t work…”
Seeing that it didn’t seem to work, the child then started to pinch.
*pinch pinch pinch*
And only then did the stranger react and his eyelashes fluttered as he slowly started to wake up.
“Oh, you’re waking up!” The child cheered up and said.
“Ouch, it hurts…”
As Edam half-opened his eyes, he immediately felt his entire body hurting like never before, he just couldn’t move his body apart from his arms, every bone seemed to be fractured into myriad pieces, and he was bleeding everywhere.
“I wanna die…”
But just as he uttered those words, multiple faces appeared in his mind and he mentally kicked the words ‘die’ out.
“F*ck this sh*t, no I can’t die yet… I didn’t say goodbye to anyone, I still have a lot of things to eat and damn, I still have to marry her before that, dying can wait…!”
Good thing though, he could feel his blood being stirred up, healing slowly but surely.
He tried to get up and forcefully fought against the pain to stand up.
“Argh!”
“Get up!”
“Damn body move!”
Pang! After countless tries, he fell on his buŧŧ trembling like a leaf but with a still absolutely resolute gaze on his face.
“Dammit! I didn’t say my last word!”
He wanted to use Ki to fly and ease his movements but to his shock, he was completely drained off! He didn’t have a single bit in reserve! Not even drop!
“What!?”
He truly and simply couldn’t gather any energy anymore!
That… that was certainly a first in his life… since he was ten he never had to worry about his Ki going down, not even once!
But that was understandable since he had various ways of fighting enemies. He could fight with his immense physical prowess, or with his swordsmanship, or even with Haki and lastly Ki which was his most powerful power.
“Hey, you, who are you?” A curious voice attracted his attention and he saw the strange blue child who woke him up.
“Hmm?” Edam finally took a painful glance at the small blue child and realized that someone was watching him curiously.
The little guy also wore clothes on, a magenta and yellow lined coat, with yellow pants and magenta shoes and a black and white shirt underneath, with the kanji for “all” on the front.
“Who are you?” Edam blinked as he asked the guy.
“Hm? No, I’ve asked first so you have to reply first…” Dissatisfied with him, the child said.
“Umm, well you do have a point, My name is… Eden, a pŀėȧsurė to meet you- ouch!” His injuries were very painful. If not for this stranger he would surely be crying like a baby.
Swing!
During his presentation, two figures strangely appeared out of nowhere and put themselves before the child, acting like two bodyguards.
“…?” Edam noticed and looked at them with surprise.
“It’s fine, leave us…” The oval-shaped head kid said and…
Swing! They disappeared into the ground as quickly as they came.
“Eden-Kun, you’re from the ‘Outside’ aren’t you? What are you doing here then?” The little guy said with curiosity and innocence.
Edam took a glance at him and didn’t feel anything malevolent from it. ‘What was that…?’
He then peeks all around him and saw that the sky was really damn bizarre, having a different color than normal.
‘What the hell is up with the sky? Hold up, where the hell am I?’ With this in mind, he turned toward the blue kid hurriedly.
“Hey, little guy, where are we?”
“We are on an unknown planet and I’m searching for someone!” The child’s eyes shone as he remembered his goal on this planet.
“What? Why?”
The child shook his head and said “We are playing hide and seek!”
Saying this, the child showed a strange device in his hand. It was a screen showing various heads of people. Every head was crossed apart from one last being that of a humanoid purple cat with a scared expression on its face.
“Uh-huh…” Although there was something weird going on with that child’s game, Edam just couldn’t care less about it.
“Wait! Did you say a planet?”
“Hmm.”
“Like another planet?”
“Hmm.”
“…”
‘What the actual f*ck is going on right now?!’ Edam yelled in his head and only calmed down after a very long time.
‘The last time I was awake, I was still at home!’
“Damn, how much time has passed since then?” He murmured to himself in worry.
“Say, you didn’t reply to my question…”
“Oh, yeah… well to tell you the truth, even I don’t know, I was fighting with someone- or something and then poof, total blank… and boom opening my eyes you’re the one I see… and…and I can’t move…” Edam exasperated said.
“You’re a strange being…”
“Really? You’re clearly weirder than me though…” Edam took a glance at the bluish kid.
“But you’re the one who fell from the sky, you’re the weirder one…” The oval-shaped guy responds.
“Okay you have a point for that, but you’re clearly weirder than me for sure…”
“No, you are…”
“Nope…” Looking at the kid, Edam didn’t know why but he just didn’t want to give in to him.
“…”
“You’re kinda irritating…” The blue kid said at last.
“Hehe, people often tell me that…” Edam said and added.
If twelve specific persons were present right, they would currently be shitting their pants for this imprudent man. There was no better description of this scene than ‘truly courting death!’. No, even death will not be as merciless as the guy in front, if he truly wanted you dead, you can only die…
“You’re kinda irritating but also funny too!” The short guy said with an amused tone in his voice.
“Haha… is that so?” Edam didn’t know why but he got some really nice feelings for this guy.
“Hey now that I think about it, you didn’t tell me your name…”
“Umm? People call me-…”
Swing!
“…?”
Just as the kid was about to reply, a person appeared out of nowhere just a meter away from them.
It was a short man with sky blue skin and white slicked-back hair. The man had thin hook-curved eyebrows and possesses what appears to be a blue-colored halo that autonomously floats above him.
The man’s apparel consists of a dark blue long-sleeved shirt, with baggy shoulder pads, that runs beneath his red-colored belt with the kanji symbol for “Grand”.
“Lord Zen-Oh, I’ve come to inform you of something, the destroyer Beerus has fallen asl-…”
The new guy politely addressed the little Zen-Oh and then took a look at Edam and was gonna speak when his pupils constricted faintly while surprise flickered in like a burning candle but he quickly managed to suppress his emotions.
“Whoa, where are you coming from, and wow your name is Zen-Oh? That’s a badass name huh…” Edam exclaimed in surprise and awe, having some difficulty to make things out.
“Excuse me for my incivility, I am Zeno-sama’s servant, you can call me, Grand Minister, may I ask you your name?”
“Uh… yeah, My name is Eden…” Faced with someone so polite as to give his name or title, he was nearly forced to reply.
“So it’s Eden…” the Grand Minister raised its head and looked at him with a smile.
“Say can you do something for him?” Zeno asked the Grand Minister. But weirdly enough it didn’t seem to be a question but an order.
“Hm? Are you sure, my king?”
“Hmm.”
A surprised look appeared in its eyes but he still immediately fulfilled his king’s order.
“As you wish…”
And with a wave of his hand, a scepter or staff appeared in his hand.
The Grand Minister smiled faintly and then loomed over at Edam while saying.
“Well, here you go then…”
Edam watched as the scepter shone a bright and luminous green light on him along with a harmonious sound and…
Swing!
In an instant, he felt his injuries disappearing into thin air and he got up on his feet as easily and lightly as a feather.
“Wow…”
He looked at his hands in surprise, not feeling even an ounce of pain.
In fact, he felt an explosive rise in strength instead, with his actual battle power increasing again. He felt incredulously great, completely rejuvenated, like a Phoenix after rebirth.
It was such a change that his body completely didn’t feel the same anymore! In his mind, the last clash between him and the nine colored claps of thunder was being ȧssimilated into his body’s memory at a rapid pace.
His aura was even wildly bursting out of his body even without necessarily wanting to.
“Whoa, what have you done to me?” He inquired to the Grand Minister.
“I healed you…”
“But why am I feeling stronger than before?”
“Oh, that’s certainly due to the Saiyan race’s rather envious capabilities to continuously evolve in battles or by injuries…”
“Really? Oh, wait, you know about the Saiyan race?”
“Well, of course, and without mentioning that you have ‘that’ how can it not boost your power…” The Grand Minister smiled.
“Anyway, thank you very much for having healed me!” Edam thanked from the depth of his heart. Who knows how much time he would have lost if not for them.
“This is nothing…”
“Uh, say do you know how I can get back home?” Edam asked him.
Hearing this the Grand Minister gave a faint chuckle and replied.
“Humm, you’re coming back from the Outside, but how did you get here?”
Not exactly understanding the meaning of his words, Edam explained how he theoretically got here, not having any clues about things.
The Grand Minister gave another laugh and said. “This is truly very interesting, laws there aren’t the same as ours. The way that realm sent you away was surely due to your bloodline, it should have used every ounce of its strength…”
“Laws? What laws?”
“Divine, and worldly laws…”
“What?”
“Don’t mind this, it is still too soon for you…”
“Uh-huh, you’re a very strange person…”
“Hah is that so? I think that you’re way more interesting than me, Eden…”
“…”
“But anyway I do have a way for you to get back there though…”
“Really?! How? I beg you to take me home!”
The Grand Minister grew a bit more serious.
“First of all, you have to know that you didn’t simply left your planet to go on another one Eden, you were completely ejected from the realm you came from…”
“Okay okay…”
“My solution will be to send you back by following the same path you took, however, this is not a hundred percent guaranteed that you will return to your exact planet. We from this side cannot just casually touch upon the Other side and send people anymore…”
Edam only nodded and carefully listened to everything.
“The spatial path you took to come over here should still have some trace of it even after all this time, but it will certainly be blurry so don’t blame me if things go wrong.”
“I’m already thankful enough that you help me this much…”
“Don’t mention it, our King already decided to help you so, I might as well do it till the end…” Saying this he took a respectful glance at Zen-Oh standing next to him.
“Wait a minute, I have to see something first…”
With that said, the Grand Minister took its scepter again and looked at it with a very focused expression.
…
Seeing him so focused Edam didn’t say a word but took a glance at Zen-Oh and asked.
“Say, you said you were playing hide and seek?”
“Oh, hmm.”
“Heh, I used to play with my brothers too and I always won!”
“Me too, I’m winning too!” He once again showed his pad’s screen.
“Hey, then we should play one day too then!” Edam laughed and said heartily.
“Really? It’s a promise then?!” Zen-Oh exclaimed with much emotion in his eyes.
“I dare not promise you anything for this though…”
“Oh…”
“But hey… here…” Edam took a hundred books out of his spatial storage.
“What is this?”
“Those are comics! Since your Hide and Seek will have an ending, all I can do for now is to give you these!” Edam said with much honesty.
“Oh!” Zeno looked at those comics in marvels extremely curious about them.
“Hehe, here, let me introduce you to this fabulous world!” Passion burned inside Edam’s eyes as he took a book and read one with Zeno.
Despite his Omnipotence, the little Zen-Oh was not Omniscient and was slowly but surely corrupted.
Edam didn’t look like an eighteen years old anymore but more like a kid playing with another one.
In fact, they spoke as if they were on equal ground, strangely looking like two childhood friends, as if they had known each other forever but were separated a long time ago.
…
…
Minutes passed by and the Grand Minister finally took a breath and turned toward Edam and Zen-Oh.
“It is done, Eden comes over here…”
The world slowly came to a monochrome stop and a sort of portal opened up in front of the Grand Minister.
‘What the f*ck…’ Edam looked everywhere in shock. The amount of shock he had in this single day was phenomenal.
“There you go…”
“What? That’s all? I just have to walk inside?”
“Of course, however, I have to warn you Eden when you were blasted here, you deviated from your original timeline, so you and I should never have had this discussion in normal time…”
“Uh okay… but what does that mean?”
“Simply that you’re million of years away from your initial timeline…”
“Uh… what-?”
“Eden, you have to know that time traveling is a serious sin even for gods…”
“… Ah, so you two are gods?” Edam looked at them suspiciously, the significance of the word God was truly something he loathe, but if those two were actual gods then he actually want to believe it.
“Not exactly…” The Grand Minister shook his head and added with a smile.
“Anyway, you’re lucky, our King himself has involved himself in this matter… and…” The Grand Minister took a glance at Zen-Oh reading his book.
“…He seems to greatly appreciate you…” The GM laughed faintly at that.
“Well, I gave him my collections as he looks quite bored…”
“In my king’s stead, I thank you…”
“It’s fine, you both helped me, this is the least, in my opinion…” Edam said and looked at the portal and made his way toward it before turning in their directions one last time.
“Once again thank you very much!” Edam nodded at them with a smile.
“Oh, and a piece of advice, Eden, if you need help, you should try to communicate with your sword, I can sense a consciousness residing in… it will be very helpful to you…” The Grand Minister took a meaningful glance at Edam.
“My sword? How do you know? You know what, you’re way too mysterious for me…”
The Grand Minister only smiled it off and said.
“Anyway, goodbye Eden, it was a pŀėȧsurė to see you again, I guess our next meeting will be so much later in the future!”
“Again- what? Hey wait a sec-!”
Boom!
The Grand Minister’s scepter hit the ground and forcefully sent Edam away directly into the portal.
“Ahhh!”
